13 Lucas!

Aunt Rose led Arainna to a very large dinning room, she left Arianna at the door entrance, she whispered softly to Arainna before leaving, " do not forget what I told you ", Arainna just nodded. The dinning table was a large one, that has the capacity of hosting atleast 20 persons . As Arianna opened the door, the members of the table where chit-chating inaudibly, she used her eyes to search for prince Liam. Silence fell upon the room as Arianna approached. Arianna walked towards the table with mixed feelings.

She regretted the fact that she didn't ask aunt Rose why she had given her the warning. She didn't know what she was to expect, atleast if she had asked, aunt Rose would have given her a reply that would have given her a clue to what the rest of the night would look like.

Arianna was a beauty that was to be beheld. It was hard to look away. She walked with a heavy heart, but still maintained her elegance.

She was soon at the table, she had found prince Liam, there was a vacant seat between him and aunt Marie, she presumed the seat was reserved for her, so she sat comfortably. She smiled nervously at every one trying to avoid direct eye contact with everyone.

" Welcome my lady " prince Liam whispered softly. " Thank you" Arianna answered still smiling. The dinner hadn't started yet, she observed that the king and queen were not seated as well. Aunt Marie kept smiling at her, which she duly reciprocated. " You look stunning " prince Liam complimented her, trying to engage her in a conversation. As usual Arainna just smiled and replied " thank you ".

" How long is this supposed party going to last ? " Arainna asked prince Liam quietly. " It is as quick as you're able to finish up your meal " the prince answered. " Once the king and queen are seated, then we begin. " He Stated. She saw Prince Roy at the other side of the table, a fair lady sat with him, they talked like a couple.

There was yet another, he also looked like prince Liam, he sat close to aunt Marie, they both talked together. She didn't know his name. She just wished within herself that an event would occur that would reveal his name or how he was related to prince Liam. Few others where at the table as well, she just watched every person, one after the other, and wished she could unveil them all.

The room's door opened, the king and the queen walked in majestically. King Lawrence was indeed a powerful king , full of influence and affluence, he portrayed them even in the way he walked. Soon the king and queen where seated.

" I welcome you all ( king Lawrence began ) it is indeed a wonderful evening. Joy overwhelms my heart, I wish I had a better way of expressing it. We are indeed delighted to have you become one of us dear Brianna ( he said pointing at Arianna ) this family dinner is a ritual that cannot be overemphasized, as it commemorate the day you became one us. An enemy doesn't eat with us, because you're at this dinner, we know you're a friend and you would not hurt us ".

Arianna just listened with keen attention on the king.

" Let the dinner begin " king Lawrence announced. There were various enticing meals of all kinds on the dinner table. Arianna had totally lost her appetite, she was nervous, however she understood the king's speech properly, if she didn't eat,she'd be regarded as an enemy, she had to compel her self to grab a bite.

" Anyone heard from Lucas ? " the king asked. There was no reply from anyone. The king waited for a reply, but got none. " Jayden any news from Lucas ? " the king asked again. The young man sitting close to aunt Marie answered, " No father, I wasn't sure he was going to come ". There was silence again. Arianna picking the details, thought within herself, " oh his name is Jayden! Does it mean the king has four sons, could it be that the king possibly has daughters too ? Who is Lucas? Why was everyone acting weird at the mentioning of his name, She wondered endlessly.

However while they ate yet, there was an abrupt opening of the door, everyone turned towards the direction of the door, it was yet another young man, he looked like prince Liam as well. He walked with so much pride slow and manly. He dressed in a nice fitted suit. No doubt, he was good looking. He walked till he got a vacant seat, sitting close to prince Liam. He didn't say a word. He just picked up his cutleries, and began eating.

" Lucas I wouldn't have you being disrespectful, not before my extended family! ". The king stated with annoyance detected in his voice tone.

" Oh father! What seems to be the issue? " Lucas asked sarcastically.

The king just looked at him with so much contempt , and remained silent. It seemed as though, every other person was somewhat scared to say or ask the Lucas in question anything. Arianna just sat in confusion. Something was definitely wrong. She was bent on finding out what it was, sooner or later.

" You were not at the wedding earlier Lucas " prince Liam finally spoke up. After an awkward silence. Lucas finally replied. " I chose not to come. But am happy for you, congratulations. " Prince Liam just nodded.

" You must be Brianna "Lucas asked looking at Arianna. Arianna still bewildered answered, " Of cause. " She resolved after aunt Rose's warning, to keep her replies short and precise.

" You should tell us a bit about your self " Lucas continued again. Arianna's nervousness increased. She could feel sweats under her feet. The room was quite. She couldn't feel her mouth as much as she wanted to speak.

" It was famously rumored that your father ( Lucas said pointing at Arianna ) had two daughters, twins. Is that true ?" Lucas asked again, after he didn't get a reply from Arianna the first time.

" Well it is true! My mother had us twins " Arianna replied concisely.

" Where is your sister ?" Liam asked again in an interogative manner.

Arianna cutleries fell from her hands out of nervousness, falling to the ground embarrassingly.

" Lucas you should take the questions easy on her, she hadn't had time to rest since morning, you'd come to know her better. " The queen stated. Lucas just smiled cunningly.

" Mom, dad ! If you'd excuse me, I must take Brianna to rest. She needs to lay her head " prince Liam pleaded. " Of cause " the king granted. Prince Liam held Arianna around her waist gently, and walked her away from the dinning room. Arianna felt relieved as they walked away. She kept wondering within her who Lucas was, and why he acted the way he did, he acted like someone that knew so much.

For some reason, she just didn't like anything about Lucas...

Prince Liam brought her to their bedroom, his supposed room. Everything and every room in the great Kingdom if St Lucia was large. It had all the items of comfort one could ask of. He gently lifed her, and made her lay on the bed. He just kissed her on the forehead and whispered sweetly into her ears, I'd be back shortly...

As soon as prince Liam was gone, Arianna sprang to her feet, releasing all the accumulated air that she had kept inside of her. One thing she was sure of was that her stay at St Lucia was going to be complicated and complex, especially with Lucas in the picture. She needed to change her dress into a night wear. She left the room and left for her changing room. She quickly found a pretty night dress and got back to the prince Liam's room.

As she laid on the bed, the idea of using Emmaline to get informations about the king's sons came into her head. However Arainna was yet in her thoughts, while she fell asleep...

Arainna felt a hand around her breasts romancing them softly, she opened her eyes, it was past midnight.
