39 Chap 39. Blood Red Light

A subconscious smile blossomed on his mouth as he held the weapons close to his heart.

"Of course you are, your basically a genius if i'm completely honest with you!" Astro stated, he said it as if it were a known fact.

"I'm.. a genius.." Theo muttered under his breath, he was lost in a daze as kept holding the weapons close to his heart.

"Anyway, we need to finish the tour! And then we need to go back to mother since she wants to test something with you." Astro easily broke him out of his daze.

They continued their tour pretty quickly, in Theo's opinion the place was magnificant! It was so huge and it had every single thing that you would need when training! It felt like a dream to him.

Everytime he was showed something knew, a smile bloomed on his face as his eyes showed pure fascination!

Theo ended up finding out that the weapon place they were in was actually a secret storage for knights who were acknowledged by Zachary and Maria.

It was like a reward place, not to mention that those weapons were soul weapons.

Soul weapons were weapons that chose you, they are bound to your soul once you touch them for the first time, you can have many soul weapon depending on your affinity with them.

If you have no affinity with that type of weapon, you have no chance of forming a bond with it, therefore it is more like a usual weapon that you see in your everyday life.

Its powers wont be used to their full potential, which only leaves a boring and plain weapon that looks ordinary and works ordinarily.

The weapons he chose, also chose him, therefore their powers will be used to their full potential and they are bound to him for life!

As he got stronger, they too will get stronger! But they may also have different ways of leveling up, such as his twin daggers, they may only be able to level up by bathing in the blood of his enemies.

He wouldn't know how to level them up until their bond has reached a certain limit, which didnt necessarily bother him.

He didn't even know how to use normal weapons right now, so he didn't mind it, he would rather have a solid base before using his soul weapons since he wouldnt be able to control their might either way.

Theo absolutely loved the arena, he almost couldn't wait for training!

He honestly wanted to start training right then and there, but in the end he could only hold himself back.

The pair finished their tour in a record time of an hour, and finally they went back up to find Maria.

Astro felt like his brain was drained, everytime Theo asked about a weapon that looked uncommon, he would give information on it after feeling out the weapon.

He also used his prediction ability when he couldn't work out what the weapon was, the prediction ability also worked on non-living objects.

How? You may ask. Well, his ability also helps to give a small image in his head, yet this side effect only worked on objects, not people.

When Astro explained it to Theo, his mouth dropped once again.

His response was, "How could you leave out such information!! Next time tell me all the information at once! Don't leave it out!" He then went on to pouting and muttering incoherent words under his breath, not even Astro could figure out what he was saying.

Little did he know that Theo was cursing him without any restraint.

Nevertheless, back to finding Maria!

They ended up finding her in the living room, that was more like a theater with massive beds that looked so comfy that Theo haf the urge to jump on them, they were practically marshmellow beds!!

She was watching a movie called 'White Chicas!' It was pretty hilarious that even Theo ended up laughing when he saw a dance battle.

"Mother, we're here!" Astro announced when they entered the theater/living room/marshmellow room.

Shuffling of sheets could be heard on the massive bed that was closest to the huge screen, a foot could be seen hanging off the side of the bed before her entire head could be seen.

The movie paused as Maria waved them to come over.

Theo lead the way with Astro holding onto his arm, "Hi Maria!" Theo greeted with a small bow of the head, meanwhile Astro greeted her with a smirk and a, "Great to see you again Mother. Did you finish all your tasks today or did you just leave them to Father?"

Maria was dumbfounded at how cheeky her son was, but due to her quick wittedness she calmly replied with, "Well, shouldn't you be the one helping out? Afterall, your the heir of this family hehehe" She snickered as Astro's body stilled.

"And hello my dear son in law, Theo~ It seems you really are getting more and more perfect for this job with each passing day." Maria beckoned them onto the bed as she sat cross legged.

She was staring at Theo with eyes that sparkled, "How did my son find such an amazing person..." She muttered.

"Maybe because amazing people attract amazing people~" Astro commented a praise for himself with not even an ounce of shame, Theo almost burst out laughing at his comment whilst Maria shook her head with a subconscious smile appearing on her face.

"Too shameless, how could I have created such a shameless person.. You take after your father too much!" Maria joked as she huffed to make it seem that she was actually displeased with his shamelessness.

Astro laughed before retorting with, "Hehehe, no Mother, I take it from you, not Father.." Theo immediately choked on his saliva as he laughed wholeheartedly, meanwhile Maria was so dumbfounded that she was completely speechless.

"So damn cheeky!" She exclaimed after being speechless for awhile, Theo was choking on air as these pair of Mother and Son teased eachother without any restraint.

"Ahhahaha!" Theo laughed, his chest practically aching as he felt short of breath from the laughter.

Both Maria and Astro ended up laughing with him due to his highly contagious laughter.

After a while of laughter, Maria finally suggested to get on with the topic which they needed to talk about.

She turned off the tv with 'White Chicas' still on it and turned to them with a serious expression.

"Well Kids, Let's get going!" She said with a serious air around her.

She led them to a room that almost looked magical, there was a huge drawing on the floor that had many different symbols engraved in it.

"Stay here." She ordered before walking into the center of the room, where the drawing seemed to start from.

Maria pulled out a knife from who knows where and sliced the inside of her hand, she crouched down and held her hand over the little circle that was in the direct center of the engraving. She squeezed her hand over the circle as the blood dripped onto it.

The knife had magically disappeared again as the little circle started glowing a bright red.

From the center and outwards, the blood red colour started glowing from each and every line of the carving.

The red started glowing brighter and brighter as it engulfed the entire room in red.

Theo had his mouth opened in shocked and confusion whereas Astro was just standing motionless, waiting for the pulling feeling to be over.

A few seconds later, the red dimmed down and completely went away, Maria walked towards them and leaded them out the door they had previously walked in.

Who would've thought that the same door they walked through.. led somewhere else now..
