3 Chapter-3 : I don't want his love
"So , What ?" I raised my brow and gave her a disdained look .
"You should inform me ,about taking the job",she said in an arrogant Voice , did she forget about yesterday's punishment . It seems I was indeed generous.
"Why should I a legal wife, inform a mere Mistress? " I mocked her and took a step back to lean on the writing table .
"Because , you don't know how to handle the things I've done before ", Her voice is shaking .It seems , she's also a fool. How can she throw all her trump cards like her useless lover. They are like 'Birds of a feather flocking together'. I chuckled internally.
"Miss Emma , Are you saying that a royal like me who studied administration , can't handle the internal budget? Don't you think , you are challenging my authority , now".I gave her a cold menacing gaze. She's shivering. For a minute, she stood there silently . Suddenly,she changed into a pitiful weak girl .
"Madam, I'm sorry.. I just thought of helping you, nothing else . I didn't aim for your position. I just love Arthur ", she's good at acting , she's faking her tears naturally. It seems hero came to rescue heroine from villainess. If it's for you guys , I'll gladly act as a villainess. it's interesting.
"What's happening here?" a firm loud voice echoed throughout my office . Here comes our hero. I chuckled internally.
"Babe, I just wanted to give a hand for madam to handle internal budget, because it was previously managed by me. But she misunderstood that I'm aiming for her position." she complained to him by clinging into arms and rubbing her bosom against his arms; Get a room you guys .
By the way , she's being respectful to me now .
If I had known this , I would have recorded the evidence.
After hearing her complaints , he just turned to me and gave a glare . Ha! here it is .
"What are you doing ? She's just helping you." he asked with a disgusted look . But somewhat it doesn't feel like aiming for me . Whatever.
"Oh! If she's really want to help , why don't you take her to your state affairs and conference call?" I folded my arms and I'm still leaning on the writing table . I didn't even wished him. It's his mistake , to enter my office without knocking . I can't provide hospitality for uninvited guests.
"And one more thing , I'm not afraid of her stealing my position . If she had talent , she could have already taken my position , before I'm marrying you." I mocked her , telling her useless . This is fun .
"No , I'm not aiming for position . I just want Arthur's love for me", she's saying with her fake teary eyes , that even if I got position , I can't get his love. Is she an idiot ?. I came here to get my revenge not to sing a duet with him.
"It seems , Miss Emma is misunderstanding something here . I've never aimed for his love from the start and never in the future too." I said with a blank look , Emma is gritting his teeth ;but Arthur was surprised for a moment. Am I mistaken? There was a silence for a minute . Then Arthur faked a cough.
"Emma , Augusta will take care of internal budgets here after. It's her duty as my wife and Mother of the Zaire country.So , Emma ,you should restrain yourself from this matter." He said with a smiling face though I know the meaning behind his words , he's telling me to not to betray Zaire country, from the moment I married to him . I became citizen of Zaire country ;if I betray, I would be considered as a traitor . I clenched my fists in rage. I want to strangle his neck.
"Then , we shall take our leave ; Augusta" he said and turned.
"Wait , I didn't gave you permission to return after insulting me", I said in an authoritative voice . Emma was taken back to see my pointed finger towards her.
"What do you mean insulting , madam?" she showing her fake obnoxious teary eyes again.
"I warned you already for disrespecting me ,yet you barged into my office and claimed this as your seat and saying that I can't handle internal budget . Of course , it's insulting me and Arthur too for giving me to handle this position .Are you saying his decision is wrong ?"
I said ,as I was stood up from the writing table I leaned on and went over and bended slightly to see her look .
She's looking like going to cry for real; But it was your lover's mistake to spoil my fun . I won't leave untill you get your punishment .
"Augusta , from what I see , she was polite towards you ". he claimed.
"I'm not talking with you , Arthur. Just because she's your lover , doesn't mean she can trample over me." I didn't even bother to look at him and continued to talk to her.
"Either ,You can take the punishment or make an apology and never come in front of me again ; or else your punishment will be worse ." She started trembling after hearing my stern voice . She looked at Arthur , but I think he didn't respond.
"I'm sorry,Madam" she said in a low voice and bit her lower lips.
"And", I said in a eerie voice.
"I'll never come in front of you again."she clenched her fists.
"Then , make yourself out .Don't bother me ", I turned back and sat on my seat and placed my fingers on my temple and massaged it for a bit.
After , I checked the files and found out many loopholes . Is Arthur not aware of this ? Whatever , it's my duty to inform the internal matters. I'll handle the report to him through butler.
I went to my room and rested a bit before going to tonight's party. Then, I washed up and saw the dress worth a million, in front of me .
It's backless silver dress with chains on it and there is a cut line in the front ,near the thigh . It will fit my body shape perfectly . I've done my hair light curls at the edge and flipped my hair to the front . I wore makeup a bit and red lipstick . I wore a diamond dangle earrings ,it was eye catching . I put a ruby ring on the other hand . I added extra foundation on my neck to cover my bruises.
I'm good to go now , I changed into open toe heels and took my purse and phone .
"Madam , Sir is waiting for you outside ." he bowed .
It's time for the show .
