11 Chapter 10: Monday Morning

When class started, I introduced myself to my other teacher.

Alright, where is Gabriela Pereira? Mrs. Bernard asked. I stood up and said, "I am Gabriela Pereira". Mrs. Bernard looked at me and had a surprised look on her face. You can't be her daughter. Mrs.Bernard mumbled under her breath. You can sit by Ms. Baudin in the back. Mrs. Bernard replied. We are sitting by each other. I replied. Isn't that the girl seen with Prince Destin last week. Amy asked. Yeah, I heard they went out too. Elizabeth replied. I wanted to explain what happened last weekend to everyone. I thought. Charlotte became angry walked up to one of the gossipers. You know gossip is not becoming a young woman, it causes nothing but trouble. Charlotte replied. How about you do not get in our business? Elizabeth asked. It is alright, Charlotte. I replied. You know that guy doesn't know how to control his anger and now you are the subject of everyone's gossip. Charlotte replied. I am fine alright. I replied. After class ended, Charlotte and I were talking. You act so confident because you were on a date with Prince Destin. Amy replied. Gabriella do you need me to? Charlotte asked. You don't need to get on her case, I can handle this. I replied. I walked up to Amy and I told her, "I don't think I am confident in the slightest". What were we talking about, again? I asked. Oh yeah, do you want to see Mr. Serious after school? Charlotte asked. Why would we go see him? I asked. He is always lonely in that house with his mom and servants. Charlotte replied. Wait aren't you two brother and sister? I asked. Yeah, we share the same dad that is our relationship anyway. Charlotte replied. Well, are you going with me? Charlotte asked. Yes, I will go one condition. I replied. What is that condition? Charlotte asked. Easy I want a box of Strawberry Charlotte's after this. I replied. You have a sweet tooth. Charlotte replied. I am part Parisian, gotta embrace someway or another. I replied. Other than that, I think my brother will be a nervous wreck if you show up out-of-the-blue so I will call him now. Charlotte replied. Are you really sure you want to call him now? I asked. Charlotte pulled out her phone and called Destin. Hey Mr. Serious? Charlotte asked. What the hell do you want, Charlotte? Destin asked. You don't have to be mean to me you know. Charlotte replied. You don't just call me unless you want to bother me with trivial matters. Destin replied. Okay Mr. Serious, so you wouldn't mind me bring Gabriella with me to see you after school? Charlotte asked. Sure she can come over. Destin replied. Sounds like you just became little flustered about inviting Gaby over? Charlotte asked. I did not become flustered. Destin replied. You know as I am talking to you, you are becoming a nervous wreck. Charlotte replied. Charlotte, you don't have to be so mean to him. I replied. Oh, I am far from being mean to him. Charlotte replied. Well, see you later my darling older brother. Charlotte replied. You can save that for someone who falls for your act. Destin replied. Goodbye. Charlotte replied. You know you guys have a fascinating relationship. I replied. Well other that, we can go out to the bakery in the neighborhood near where our "Prince Charming" lives. Charlotte replied. Wait they have a box of small Strawberry Charlotte'? I asked. Yeah, they are the best, my dad would take the both of these to the bakery back when we were kids. Charlotte replied. Charlotte had a deep look in her eyes. Hey are you ok, Charlotte? I asked. I am fine. Charlotte replied. I wonder what might happen? Charlotte asked. What are you implying to be happening? I asked. Well let's say, I feel something interesting will happen to us today. Charlotte replied. Well we have to wait to see what will happen next? I replied.

That afternoon, Charlotte's prediction came true. I met someone that, I never imagine meeting in many years.
