The Romance Monster

'When I fall asleep for a moment,I saw you. I stayed up all night because I missed you. I wanted to see you again,so I closed my eyes but you were just a dream'

A smile formed on Debra's face.

She was finally done with the project that had tied her down for weeks

"Now,we can party all we want"the girl muttered to herself, giving her body a long stretch.

Zara! She needed her.

Debra was about to put a call through her secretary when someone knocked on the door.Zara came in, dressed in a black and white gown.

"You came just at the right time Zara. I was about to..."

Debra's eyes fell on the flowers in her secretary's hand. Debra creased her brow

Zara gave a slight bow,then smiled.

"A man brought flowers,Miss Fernandez"the blonde hair secretary said,a cute smile on her tiny face

"Flowers" Debra repeated.

Debra stood from her seat and walked slowly to Zara,her eyes fixed on the flowers.

"Who?"she asked

"A man delivered it but seems like there is a note in"Zara said,her eyes beaming with joy.

"Letter"Debra repeated.

"Hmmm"Zara mouthed.

She took the small note out and handed it to Debra.Her eyes on Zara's,Debra collected the note,them stared at it.

She opened the small paper and read to herself

'There is no special reason for this, I just want to steal a single moment of your busy life and hope I can make you smile and say:I miss you'.

Debra's mouth opened slightly and her long lashes blinked.

"W-who did you say brought this again?" The girl stuttered, her eyes fixed on the paper in her hand.

"A delivery man..."

"When?"

"Just now..."

Debra pushed Zara aside,then ran out of her office, leaving the young Miss stunned.

Outside her office,she ran to an elevator and pressed the button twice,moved to another one but none of it responded.

"We have to wait for it to..."someone was saying but Debra Fernandez wasn't listening.

She reached for the stairs and ran all the way to the parking garage.She was breathing heavily when she got there.Debra looked around but there was no sight of anyone.

She'd run all the way from the stairs,and that made her squat.

Her eyes moved to the note and she read again

"Killian" Debra swallowed hard as she thought.

She bit her lower lips

Was it him?

Realizing where she was,the girl stood up. She raised her head,then took a deep breath.

"Sev,get this woman out of here"

Debra heard someone say just when she was about to leave.

Debra frowned.

That voice...

She turned to the direction of the voice but all she saw was the back of a man in black suit.

"Mr Gomez, please..."that was the voice of a woman.

Debra tilted her head to have a better view and on the floor,was a woman she couldn't see properly.

"You just have to help me. Just help me find that monster who killed my sister."

The man squatted but Debra couldn't see nor hear whatever happened.The next thing she saw was another man pulled the woman up and walked her away. The other man stood and dusted his hands. Debra saw him tilted his head and something about this man amused her.

Debra heard herself gasped when she saw the man staring at her.

When did he turn?

She stared back and now,she could see him properly. Debra Fernandez winced.

"Are you sure we are at the right place,Sev?" the boring looking creature asked.

They'd spent more than thirty minutes in the car but there was nothing.

The other man who seemed to be Sev took in a deep breath.

"We should leave"

Lazz Gomez scoffed.

"Don't tell me you just wasted thirty minutes of my time?" Lazz hissed.

"Maybe you should possess some power about stopping time" Sev said, jokingly.

Lazz said no word. He rested his head on the seat,then closed his eyes.

"Just fucking start the car"he muttered.

Sev glanced at him with a smile.

"Why are you not sitting at the back today? Did you suddenly got tired of your almighty seat..." Sev wasn't done speaking when Lazz opened the car door.

Sev scoffed

"You always take things seriously..."

"Fuck!What the hell!"

Sev heard Lazz screamed. He looked through the other side of the car glass and all he saw was Lazz staring at the floor.

"What do you think you are doing?"

Sev got down from the car when he heard Lazz yelled again.

"Mr Gomez, please..."

Lazz kicked the woman and her hands went off his leg .

The man dusted his trouser,a frown on his face

"Who is she?" Sev asked,his eyes on the black-haired woman.

"I just got out of the car" Lazz snarled at Sev.

"Mr Gomez, please help me"

Lazz groaned at the touch of the woman.Gnashing his teeth,be squatted before her and raised her hand up

"People who touch me end up losing their hands"he threatened and the woman shooked at his voice.

"Lazz,she is not..."Sev stopped,then looked around, wanting to make sure no one was watching or listening.

Lazz scoffed. He rose to his feet.

"I sensed it. Take her away"

" My sister was killed and I need to find the killer..."

Lazz frowned and his eyes turned red

"Shall I help you join her?"He asked,a smirk formed on the corner of his lips.

"Mr Gomez"

"Sev, fucking get this woman or of here."

Lazz yelled and Sev knew what to do.

He'd better get her out before she becomes a meal for the vampire demon.

"Mr Gomez, please. You just have to help me once. Just help me find that monster who killed my sister.." the woman said,loud enough for anyone to hear

Lazz winced softly.

He squatted before the woman and held her chin up.

The woman winced.

"If you spend another seconds here, I'll give you a death sly vampires like you deserve"Lazz said, right into her ear.

The woman clutched her fingers.

Lazz dropped her chin and signalled to Sev to take her away.

Sev pulled the woman up.

"If you know what's good for you, come with me silently" He whispered into her ears and the woman said no word.

Lazz stood and dusted his hands.

He tilted his head as he watched Sev pulled her out.

Lazz itched his nose and felt the urge to turn

He turned swiftly and he saw a woman standing. Lazz creased his brows. Their eyes met and Lazz frowned.

Wasn't that Emily's daughter?
