1 Prologue

Jonathan's P.O.V

"Damn, gotta stop playing Darkness Rises and make players mad and toxic."

I lazily said to myself. My name is Jonathan Lakewood and I'm a nerd and an otaku. I collect figurines for a living and I always play games that intrigues me the most like Ghost Of Tsushima or Seikiro: Shadows Die Twice. I've been playing games like Dark Souls ever since I was a little boy and I could never stop playing them as if though I'm there. My parents think that this hobby is unhealthy but I've been gaining money by streaming and recording tutorials on how to defeat very hard bosses and I'm richer than my parents but that doesn't mean I don't love them. I still support my family and siblings when they need money because I'm never short of money because my income is alway one billion dollars a week but I never get a cool condo or go to some rich asshole's party because I've seen that life before and I don't wanna live it. I always spend my money on bundles and battle passes in games. I was never into multiplayer games since players would be super toxic if I dominate them so that's why ever since for their sake, I'd rather play MMORPG more than Multiplayer games.

"I need to get some more pepsi."

I said to myself as I got up and threw my can into the trashcan. I passed through my mirror but I stopped and went back to look at the mirror to see I hadn't gotten fat.

'Always at the gym'

I thought as I took my shirt and hoodie and wore them, took my keys and phone and got out of my apartment. I headed down and saw my friend, Blake Davidson

"Sup man."

he said, giving me a hug as I proceeded to hug back.

"Nothing much, just wanna go to the store and get some drinks, you in?"

I asked

"Sure why not."

He said and we went to the nearest seven-eleven.

"So, how life?"

he asked

"Not bad."

"Still can't believe that you got a trillion dollars and you won't spend shit and just in this dump."

"Hey, it ain't a dump. Plus, I already told you right? Condos and mansions are for rich people who'd like to be assholes."

Then he laughs

"Whatever you say man."

We then arrived at the store and walked in and saw some google play cards and Playstation gift cards so went to it and saw that there's a bunch of them so I took a basket and started to put them all in the basket.

"Such a gamer."

my friend said

"Hey, you never know there's a game you'd play on my playstation."

I told him and he scoffs

"Like what?"

he asked me

"I see you always playing Dead or Alive."

he then flew into an embarrassment

"It- It's just a good game, that's all!!"

he said and I just laughed.

After getting a lot of snacks and stuff, we went to the counter and the cashier started to scan. I looked around to see something caught my eye, a Darkness Rises card with a logo that looks like an S++

"What is that?"

I asked the cashier pointing at the card behind her back

"Oh that? That's a limited edition Darkness Rises that'll make your character's armor turn to S++"

she answered politely

"How much?"

I asked her

"It's $150."

She replied

"Wow, that much, I'll take it but how do I insert the code?"

I asked

"Don't worry, the card detects your app."

she answered and I bought it because I need some very powerful tiers to defeat the final boss in the final chapter. As I paid, my phone vibrated and when I took out my phone to look at the notifications, it says that I need to update the game

"Huh."

I was confused. Me and my friend said our goodbyes and parted ways as I opened my phone and updated the game. As I arrived home, I arranged all my snacks and drinks, charged my phone, changed my clothes, and went to bed to get some sleep.

I was woken up by the sound of a sword sheathing from my phone and when I looked at my notification it said that the game's finished updating so I opened it and it just went completely normal until I went to customization. It said I need to choose two characters

'Why would I choose two?'

i thought but didn't pay much attention as to what it meant as I can't hold in my excitement. There was a lot of class to pick but I picked Warrior first because it's my main but as I scrolled down to look for more classes I saw a class called "Devil'

"Why would you name a class 'Devil'?"

I asked myself and looked to the descriptions and it describes the class saying it is like the wizard class but better and I was somewhat ok with that because finally they added a male wizard. I then pressed it and I was met with only one button and it said "OVERPOWERFULL"

'Strange.'

I then pressed it and now I was sent to the character customizations and when I went there, I was met with options like which to armor to choose so I browsed around a bit and saw an amazing robe with black color and a sigil, fingerless gloves, sick adventure pants, and a double belt with a book and potions

'Must be a mage's belt'

I thought and as I pressed the button, phone slowly flew out of my hand and when I tried to grab it, it creates a portal and suddenly my hands started to digitally disappear slowly

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

I then tried to run but my legs we're gone

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

I was panicking and was still trying to escape but then the portal sucked me in.
