1 The Prologue/ teaser chapter

Alex awoke, his eyes adjusting to the light before them. It hurt- the light that is, their face contorted into a pained expression, slamming his face back into their pillow. Too early to wakeup, but too bright to be any earlier then 12 pm, they'd slept through the whole day again. This had become his usual routine, staying up late and waking up even later, it was unhealthy, Alex's mother hated it, but he had no choice. Night was the only time he could openly practice mana.

The newly summoned wind flew through his blonde hair, winding down to his slender fingers before being directed at the wall before him. The blank wall soon was covered in all kinds of intriguing runic details, symbols that all had their meanings.

Alex approached the wall and muttered something under his breath before walking towards the wall. Instead of a collision he was phased into it. Light surrounded him, hurting his eyes even more then the dimly lit room he previously was in. It took a minute or so before Alex fully adjusted but when he did his eyes glanced upon an all white room, his training room.

A robotic like voice made him jump. "Mana training room activated, please choose your preferred magic.". "Water". The room adapted to the boys commands, shifting the white into a scenic lake, a cold breeze rising over the blue lake before him. Time to practice. He stood there along the bank, moulding the water, rising it from the lake, flowing it across his body, it was refreshing.
