Chapter 11-Clearsky Hunter Agency

As Itachi opened his contract space, you could practically feel the primal aura leaking out that stopped the previously brave charging students in their tracks. The primal urge of self preservation most humans have rang inside like an alarm bell as all insticts screamed 'GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THERE!'.

Walking out proudly was a five meter tall jet black dragon that inspired 1 word, fear. Cursing inside their minds as they struggled to even breath, most of the students had an important question inside their minds 'How Could This Be Considered Cute!?!?!' 'And what did he mean don't kill anyone again!?! what happened the first time?'

Almost as if to answer their question, the previously majestic beast ran up to Itachi nuzzling him gently like a little sister looking for protection from her big brother.

Patting her on the head chuckling at her cute display Itachi looked out at the crowd "how do you like my friend Kayda? Quite cute right" He said taking extreme satisfaction watching everyones shock realising he had a bona fide dragon as his contracted beast.

Gritting his teeth the young mid tier wind mage Zhuang Lifeng shouted "be careful, distract the strong beast and look for an opening to attack the summoner" Bad choice Itachi thought as Kayda hearing mention of them attacking her master immediately shot through the air talon dangerously heading for his neck.

Kayda remembering her master's words was lenient on the offending miscreant as she let him off lightly by slamming her rock hard wing into his legs completely shattering both as he flew backwards in a miserable arc in so much pain that he could not even scream falling to the ground with a wide eyed look on his face as he went into shock.

Sighing a bit Itachi realised Kayda misinterpreted his words thinking "going easy" meant not killing them as he looked at the young mid tier mage with a bit of pity as he doubted he would ever walk again, thats if he even survived this ordeal Itachi thought ruefully as he watched the panicked staff immediately carry out a stretcher.

Genuinely apologising Itachi said "Sorry, she gets a bit protective of me sometimes, Now im sure she won't injure anyone else that bad. At least nothing the healing element can't fix within a couple weeks. Now come attack she really isn't that scary is she?."

After he previous display people were too scared to talk. Much less attack him as nobody wanted to spend life paralysed from the waist down. Taking charge Mu Nu Jiao ran forward. Wisely not mentioning attacking Itachi she loudly said " it can't take all of our magic combine, everyone fire at the same time."

Nervously they began casting magic glancing at the dragon preparing to abandon any second. Seeing it still, many breathed in relief as they focused more on their spells. Finally Mu Nu Jiao s shouted fire as a barrage of different spells rained down upon them.

While Itachi could probably tank the weak novice spells with his durable body alone he decided to have a little fun as he activated wind track dodging every spell at the perfect moment always finding the area with the least magic as he shot out a couple tornados for spells he couldn't avoid. The funny thing is no one could even see him use it as their vision was blocked by all the smoke and flashes of magic all around Itachi. Kayda simply shielded with her armored wings too lazy to even move.

As the smoke cleared she excitedly looked on to see the appearance of the two. While she was not naive enough to believe them to be defeated she at least expected them to be injured a bit. Smoke clearing she realised they stood in the exact spot they had previously as Itachi's clothes weren't even touched, much less dealing damage to him

Refusing to believe this Mu Nu jiao casted her mid tier plant magic dome of plants on their opponent with the strong vines having the ability to restrain some warrior rank beasts. Almost as if to mock her a orange quickly devoured the entire dome with no effort as a smirking Itachi was revealed with a ball of fire in his hand.

Deciding to thin out their numbers a bit Itachi prepared to sent a barrage of flame bursts. As much as he wanted to use his spirit, it would probably kill all of them as he already had to carefully control it to prevent deaths with just his normal fire with a 4x multiplier from the stars.

Doing a weird fire bending dance Itachi spun around as a barrage of flame burst shot from his hands and feet scattering around the ground as people dived out of the way with many needing to be saved by teachers. While there were some hints, the show never really showed how you can almost cast magic out of every part of your body and the last airbender showed a more realistic way on fire magic.

Itachi gave Kayda the all clear to attack as she started breathing fire attacks as well because it seemed like every time she physically hit humans they shattered and Itachi didn't want to get angry parents chasing after him since he paralyzed their kid for life.

Burns would be easier to recover from shattered limbs as he decided this was the best method to thin out the numbers. Doing this for a while the number of opponents quickly lowered to 100 as a majority were taken out by the hot flames covering a big portion of the field.

Zhong Zhenghua the chairmen of the Earth school shocked at the turn of events turned to face director Xiao "If he finishes them off are we actually going to give all our resources to the summon school?"

Director Xiao not even looking at him replied "Thats their problem for not being strong enough to defend their resources" he said disinterestinglyl as all his attention focused on Itachi looking not too faraway from a teen boy watching their idol crush with a fanatic expression.

'This boy must be cultivated with all our effort, and he will bring our university fame across the world' he thought starting to drool a bit as his composure as head of the school had long since disappeared ever since Itachi had taken the stage.

With around 50 people left Itachi decided this wasn't even enough for a warmup for Kayda. Calling her back after a few head pats he sent her into her contract space much to the relief of the students. He looked at the remaining students who were generally stronger than their peers with a few mid tier mages among them.

"I will call out my draft beast since this whole fight has been a let down. Please at least let him stretch his legs gaining some experience otherwise my time has definitely been wasted." Calling out his draft beast he sent out Felix who proudly looked down on the students.

All though the students could tell this beast was strong as well, at least they felt they had some hope of beating it. Taking lead Mu Nu Jiao who was almost an unofficial rep of the freshman grade rallied together some of the students.

They began to shoot out a mix of attacks as a green star atlas appeared around Mu Nu Jiao as she prepared to cast mid tier wind magic the tornado. The wind picked up and many of the other students had to hurriedly back up for fear of getting blown away.

Eyes her eyes glowed menacingly growling "you forced me to do this". Itachi didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She actually thought a little wind would defeat him anchoring himself with a little it of gravity magic going unnoticed by everyone he walked towards her slowly without even his hair being blown by the fierce 140 mph winds.

Sending his Sand Fox felix on the attack he leapt through the wind barely being pushed to the side as his paw came whistling forward knocking her back. Showing a surprising amount of tenacity she leapt up from where she fell 10 meters away wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth once again casting plant mid tier magic she mage a huge cage that slowly constricted the fox.

Looking on in distain he once again swung his paw shooting out his claws as they sliced through the thick vines like a hot knife through butter as he menacingly advanced towards Mu Nu Jiao staring her down.

Sighing she turned to the referee saying "I concede" as none of her attacks had any effect on the strong summon. Turning to face Itachi she said "I will beat you one day you wait" before swiftly leaving the arena with wind track.

After she left, the others proved not to be too much of a problem one mid tier water mage tried to flood the arena, but Itachi for the first time showed off his mid tier fiery fists that sent an explosive fist shaped condensed flame bomb straight into the wave instantly evaporating it as well as throwing everyone back in the explosion.

Itachi was quite careful not to hurt anyone too badly, and only a few people needed to be carried out on a stretcher with unnaturally twisting limbs. Maybe they are double jointed?" Putting his thoughts aside the last person forfeited as Itachi was left alone in the arena.

Clearing his throar Director Xiao said "The agreement stands and all the resources will be given to the summon class." Immediately everyone protested as one student shouted "What about us poor students? Smirking a bit Director Xiao replied "From your words I would assume you think he was born in a rich family?"

"Yes" the unfortunate boy replied not knowing he was already being set up by the headmaster to show off this prodigys background.

"He is from Bo City" he simply replied as everyone immediately began whispering to each other "Bo City? the city that had over 100,000 people die when they were invaded by monsters?"

"He is from Bo city? I thought he was some arrogant bastard with a silver spoon in his mouth if he dared challenge me" Mu Nu Jiao thought her whole view of her self proclaimed rival changing

Itachi only nodded before walking towards to the exit tunnel.

Feeling a gust of wind he turned to face the head of the wind school Liang Lin "The headmaster wants to talk to you about future plans in his office. Please meet him this evening.

Nodding Itachi returned home before later heading back meeting him in the university. If Itachi had to guess he would say he was being moved early to the main university as he had no real need to continue hanging out with a bunch of novices.

"Walking in, he was warmfully greeted by the headmaster as he said "Now, You are already a mid tier mage in both fire and summon so we feel it would be alright to move you to the main univeristy, so you can have a bit more competition.

The fire element school would be a good pick, but I don't mind sending you other places too. Before we move you however, we want to send you on an exchange with the Imperial University.

Despite wanting to go see Xue'er, Itachi decided to play a little hard to get saying "I don't know. I am not really in the mood to go to another university".

Seemingly already prepared for this Director Xiao said "I will let you cultivate in the three step tower after the exchange for three days, and that can greatly boost your cultivation speed. I will also give you a spirit protection amulet that is very high quality and it can protect you from spiritual attacks such as with the curse or psychic element."

Nodding Itachi accepted his conditions as he could tell the headmaster was going to give him those gifts either way because he had the most potential out of anyone in the unniversity. He could only cultivate in the three step tower for around 3 days every couple of months otherwise it would lose its effects as he got used to it.

After all, if they had the ability to have someone cultivate in such a place for forever, then they would have many super mage in their teens. "The exchange is in a week and I will keep you updated."

Itachi finally left the office as he prepared to pay a visit to a certain hunter organisation. While this was partly for nostalgia he also had a perfectly valid reason as he had never signed up at a hunter, so his reputation would be low and he would have no clients. While he wasn't really that desperate in needs of money since he had quite a bit, he was far from rich and having a little extra never hurt.

Walking down a few streets he turned onto an older looking road with paved cobblestone bricks. Looking up he saw a banner with the name Clearsky Hunter Agency printed clearly. Walking forward he held back a smile as a cute young girl looking around 14-ish with long brown pigtails sat outside in a chair reading a book.

Sensing him approaching she looked up

"Are you here to commission a task? If so, the minimum price to commision a task will be three hundred thousand, and the pricing will be altered after we assess the difficulty of the task. We will not accept any task that worth less than that," said the little girl without raising her head. Her voice was beautiful, but the tone was extremely cold.

Smiling a bit at this Itachi simply said "I'm here to apply to be a hunter here." without skippng a beat she replied "You work here? Your too young" Not bothering to point out the irony of her words Itachi only confidently said "I'm sure you will find my abilities quite capable.

"Lingling, is there a customer?" an old voice rang out from somewhere in the shop "Grandpa, he is here for an interview but he is too young, I suggest that we reject him," She simply said before going back to read her book. sighing a bit at this display Itachi just decided to let nature run its course as he turned to see a panicked looking woman in the shop.

She proceeded to explain how she thought her husband was a monster at night as she found blood and animal skin at night and she thinks her husband is going out at night killing people.

Itachi struggled to hold back his laughter at the cute little Ling Ling's idea of positivity as she said "Whatever you said just now is not enough to be evidence that your husband has turned into a monster. Think positively, perhaps your husband is not a monster, but a murderer with a weird fetish to collect human skin."

Crying she continued to ask for protection, but old Bao was firm in rejecting her. "You…how could you be so heartless. If…if something happens to my family, I will never forgive you, even if I become a ghost!" The young lady stood up, her face filled with pain.

Running out the shop she was quite comical in appearance waving around her expensive designer handbag. Despite already knowing the reason Itachi still asked "Why did you reject the wifes offer of protection?"

Responding Old Bao took out a piece of paper and said "Look at this" The contract was very brief. The client wanted protection overnight. It was because the client suspected there was a great danger lurking near them, and that it would affect its child as well as the client.

"Itachi looked at the paper "its the same address as the other. So that means..." "This contract was actually signed by me and the husband of the lady just now" old Bao said confidently.

"They both made claims of their significant other going out and attacking people, and this can be considered quite a rare case. Why don't you take the commission and we can see if you are suitable for this job." Smirking as he already knew where this was going he looked around confusedly "who am I going to work with" he said watching Ling Ling out of the corner of his eye get an irritated look on her face.

"Me you big idiot. I'll have you know I'm a Master Hunter" she said pouting as she fished out a badge. Reacting in fake surprise he said "A little girl like you is a master hunter? You shouldn't be out of middle school" He said pinching her cute little cheeks as she instantly started reacted violently starting to hit him.

Old Bao stepped in saying "While she may be young she has a vast amount of experience with many skills including hacking, going undercover, and finding clues and evidence that few can compare to. Ever since her last partner died it has been difficult for her and I hope you will be of assistance to her during this mission.

"the mission costed 300,000RMB. After completion you and Ling ling will split the pot. finishing up what he was saying he moved up to the second floor with Ling Ling. "Granpa why did you accept him" she said Old Bao smiled mysteriously "although I couldn't tell his strength he should be a intermediate mage, he is also from Bo city" "Even if his strength isn't bad, he's still just an Intermediate Magician," Lingling said a little surprised at his origin as she Ignored the fact that she herself hadn't even awakened.

"I can tell he is a lot stronger than he looks, so you shouldn't underestimate him. He should have alot of secrets." Old Bao similed watching his grandaughter get a mischevious grin. "Hmm time to go look him up. I'll find out everthing about him"

As Itachi waited downstairs he already guessed they were looking him up. While it was not on his record, it would not be too hard to find out about his lightning element if they asked some of the former Bo city residents.

Honestly he didn't care that much about exposing his dual element awakening at every stage, but he wouldn't go around parading it either. After all, after showing off a dragon this was a bit less shocking. He figured he would tell Ling Ling and Old Bao eventually as he considered them to be quite trustworthy.

Walking back downstairs Ling Ling authoritavely looked at him "You can return back to University. We'll meet by the privately owned garden as the sky is turning dark," Smirking at her little effort to hide the fact she looked him up Itachi only nodded before returning home to cultivate a bit.
