The Beginning

"My children, we will claim dominion over this petty existence and cleave all others," a speaker said to a massive crowd.

Beside him were 9 cloaked figures each with a different color robe. "Too long have we suffered from the knowledge there are existences above ours. With this reality anchor we can preserve our existence while wiping out all others," he continued.

Behind him was a massive device. It pulsed black with energy. "Hail Beelzebub," the crowd roared. Beelzebub looked behind him and smiled. Soon the reckoning would come, and he would have everything he ever wanted.

The chatter of high school students was thick in the air. A slight breeze blew over the grass. Benjamin looked up at the clouds.

He could feel something, something big, approaching. "Hey," Velena said, snapping him out of his stupor.

He continued, "We'll be late if you don't move." Benjamin shook off the feeling of dread he'd been feeling all day. They arrived in class to find everyone sitting at their desks.

Mr. Martin looked at them disapprovingly and said "Nice of you to join us, Mr. White and Mr. Stephens." They sat down and Mr. Martin continued the lesson. "Now these particular enchantments are simple to learn but complex to cast."

In the front of the room appeared symbols in an ancient dialect. Mr. Martin then told everyone to break into groups and practice saying the incantation. Benjamin and Velena went to their particular corner of the room.

Benjamin looked around the room at everyone. He smiled and started practicing the incantation with Velena.

Later that same day they were laying in the grass with Isaiah, Corey, Miles, Lennox, Jackie, Xavier, and Evan. "I've finished my latest creation," Isaiah said proudly. "It's a reality distortion device that can change the very fabric of reality," he explained.

Lennox replied, "Isaiah that's dumb." "Only if you can't see the genius in it," Isaiah retorted. Setting the machine to "anime" he fired it into the sky.

The shot fizzled but still created a crack in the sky. Through the crack, a shadow loomed. "Isaiah, I don't think that's an anime," Corey said worriedly.  Benjamin stared at the sky, transfixed.

Snapping out of his trance he said, "We need to get everyone out of the city." Agreeing on this mission, they split up to go round up the citizens and get them to safety. Benjamin and Corey ran down Paxville highway towards the high school. "What is that thing," Corey asked. "I don't know," Benjamin replied, totally lost. "All I know is that we need to get everyone out of town before something bad happens." "Yeah I know," Corey retorted, "Isaiah said we should figure out our current situation before moving on." Across the city, Isaiah was running with Xavier towards the Primary school. Isaiah continuously glanced up at the giant machine in the sky.

"Focus Isaiah," Xavier said while also looking fearfully at the machine. Isaiah ran a few more feet before stopping. "Of course," he said aloud to Xavier's confusion.

"I'll go to my lab to get what we need to seal that crack," He continued. "You go and warn the primary school, I'll be at my lab."

And with that Isaiah was off, running at top speed towards the high school. Xavier watched him go, knowing that this wasn't going to end well. At the populated city center, Evan and Lennox were already there warning everyone to leave.

Not that they needed to as everyone was running in a panicked frenzy. They directed everyone to the city limits shouting over all the screaming and yelling. "You need to leave through the main road," Evan shouted. Wiping the sweat from his brow, he turned to Lennox and said, "I don't know why we're doing all this." "I could end this whole thing right he-."

He was cut off by something impacting the ground at a high speed. Lennox looked confused but Evan waved it away as just some debris. Turning his attention back to the crowd he yelled, "Hurry up we don't have all day!" Feeling something was off, Lennox wanted to check out what had fallen from the sky. Evan once again dismissed this by saying, "It's just some debris."

Lennox still felt uneasy so he brought it up a third time. Evan finally relented.

He threw his hands up and said, "Fine we'll go look and I'll show you it's nothing." While walking towards the impact crater Evan felt an inexplicable feeling of dread rising within him.

When they finally reached the crater they peered into the center. In the center of the crater lies an orange-ish mass.

It shifts ever so slightly. "Let's go take a closer look," Evan said. "You're the one that wanted to check this thing out," He said, seeing that Lennox was hanging back.

Stifling his sense of uneasiness Lennox followed his friend toward the mass in the crater.

The closer they got to the mass the more uneasy they both felt. Evan drew his stand Excalibur. Lennox followed suit activating oppai.

When they finally reached the mass Evan looked relieved to see that it was just nothing. He turned to Lennox and said, "See, I told you it was not-." He was cut off by a sword slashing his back, sending him flying out of the crater and into a shop somewhere in the city center.

He did that so fast I couldn't even see his arm, Lennox thought. Shaking away his shock he lunged forward throwing out his right fist.

The thing blocked it with its sword. It then hit Lennox in the face with the handle and slashed him across the chest. Lennox was sent reeling back. He caught himself on the edge of the crater before he could go any further.

The thing walked toward him saying, "Sorry it took so long, I needed to get used to this reality's physics." It spoke in a calm even tone as if Lennox hadn't even attempted to hurt it. Evan woke up dazed.

He got up and shook off his dizziness. Seeing the thing walking towards Lennox he froze time and lunged at it.  Effortlessly, the thing blocked Evan's attack. Impossible!

Evan jumped back in fear. The thing then appeared behind Evan as though it had teleported. With one quick slash, Evan crumpled to the ground and didn't get back up.

The creature sighed, "What a pathetic opposition. At this rate lord, Beezlebub won't have to do anything to erase this reality."

With that final statement, all Lennox could do was watch as it began setting up a pillar, slaughtering anyone who met its gaze
