Benjamin vs Beelzebub

Benjamin slashed his sword directly at Beelzebub's face. Beelzebub caught the sword between his fingers and threw Benjamin back.

Unfazed, Benjamin got up and lunged at him again. He repeatedly slashed with his sword. Rather than catch the sword, Beelzebub effortlessly dodged Benjamin's attacks.

Benjamin then changed up his attack pattern and jabbed rather than slashed. Beelzebub however, saw this coming.

He grabbed the sword out of midair and yanked it out of Benjamin's hand.

He threw it to the ground leaving Benjamin shocked. Before he could snap out of his stupor, Beelzebub punched him in the gut.

Benjamin was sent reeling backward from the pain and the force of the blow. Beelzebub then dashed behind him and smacked him across the side of his head.

This sent Benjamin flying towards his friends. Before he could crash into them, he hit an invisible barrier. He stood up while massaging the side of his head. He placed his hands on the barrier and felt it.

"Sorry about that, but this is a battle between you and Lord Beelzebub only," Azriel said, chuckling. "It wouldn't be fair if your friends could join now would it?" Benjamin looked back around to see Beelzebub with an amused look on his face.

His eyes then darted to his sword sticking out of the ground. He lunged at it. Upon reaching it he pulled it out and slashed at Beelzebub.

Beelzebub dodged the slash and punched Benjamin up. He then teleported above Benjamin and punched him back down towards the ground.

Benjamin slammed into the ground knocking dirt and debris everywhere. He slowly looked around, trying not to hurt himself even more.

Lying next to him was a shard of bone. He panicked for a second before realizing the bone fragment wasn't his. He picked up the bone fragment and inspected it.

This could mean that the asteroids themselves are made out of dead matter, he thought to himself. Benjamin plunged his sword into the ground. The asteroid began to rumble.

From beneath the dust and dirt fragments of bone were rising. Soon the air was full of hundreds of small bone fragments. Beelzebub leaned towards Benjamin. "How interesting," he said.

He lunged towards Benjamin and unleashed a powerful punch. Benjamin blocked the punch with the bone fragments. Benjamin concentrated his power.

The bone fragments added themselves to Benjamin's broken sword forming a blade. Using his new blade, Benjamin lunged forward at Beelzebub. He slashed the sword at Beelzebub.

Beelzebub, of course, dodged it. However, the blade unleashed a shockwave that went on for several yards behind him.

Benjamin slashed again and again. Beelzebub kept dodging, leaving the asteroid behind him to take the shockwave and explode. Benjamin raised his sword over his head and brought it down.

This forced Beelzebub to use his arms to block the blow. However, due to the force and the shockwave, Beelzebub was forced into the ground slightly.

Benjamin kept pushing against Beelzebub, forcing him deeper and deeper into the ground.

"Impressive," Beelzebub said, smiling. He pushed Benjamin off of him. Benjamin flipped in the air and landed on the ground.

He kicked off and lunged at Beelzebub again. Before he could reach him, however, Beelzebub released a massive wave of energy.

The air around Benjamin went still. Beelzebub's eyes went dark as he raised his arms.

The multiple asteroids floating above them began to shake. Cracks began to appear on the sides of the asteroid.

Benjamin watched in horror as they shattered into pieces, revealing millions of bone fragments. Beelzebub waved his arms, causing the fragments to organize themselves into the shape of a massive pike.

"You are weak," Beelzebub yelled. His voice sounded oddly distorted and inhuman. "You do not even have a fraction of the power of a shadow lord."

"I will give you a taste of the power you are lacking." Beelzebub closed his fists.

The bone fragments fused into a solid pike. He thrust his arms forward sending the massive pike towards Benjamin.

Benjamin dropped his sword and raised both his hands towards the pike. The pike's motion slowed down to a crawl as it made its way towards Benjamin.

Beelzebub laughed and applied even more force to the pike.

Slowly, Benjamin was being pushed back by the pike. His feet were losing traction on the ground. That's when the pain began.

It snaked up his arms until it reached his shoulders. Benjamin winced from the pain. But he didn't give in. Benjamin knew that if he didn't do something, his home would be lost forever.

At the tips of his fingers, a spectral mist began to form. The mist was oozing from his fingertips at an alarming rate. Benjamin didn't notice any of this.

He was too busy using his strength to hold the pike back. The spectral mist at his fingertips kept growing in size until it completely enveloped his hands.

Sweat was rolling down Benjamin's face. Despite his best efforts, the pike was still coming towards him. He was scared.

He didn't want to die here on this rock in the middle of nowhere. He imagine what would happen it he failed here, everyone would died and it would be all his fault. Isaiah, Evan, Jackie, Corey, everyone and... Velena.

Benjamin struggled, something changed. He felt the fear suddenly turn to anger as hot as a thousand suns.

The spectral mist shot from his fingertips. It moved so fast that Beelzebub barely had time to register it.

The spectral mist collided with the pike and obliterated it. Benjamin lowered his arms in surprise. Bone fragments rained down around him.

Beelzebub looked equally as shocked. He looked at Benjamin with a cold gaze. "Impressive," Beelzebub said, clapping his hands sarcastically.

Benjamin reached down and picked up his sword. "You've shown me what I wanted to see. You've confirmed a few facts for me.

Sadly, you're no longer of any use to me," Beelzebub said. He blinked suddenly. Appearing in front of Benjamin, Beelzebub punched him, knocking him into the invisible barrier.

Beelzebub shot a beam of spectral mist at Benjamin. The resulting explosion knocked him up into the air. Beelzebub teleported above Benjamin and grabbed him.

He slammed Benjamin into the ground and fired more mist out of his hands. The ground beneath his feet shattered into pieces.

Benjamin was launched through the asteroid. He appeared on the other side and crashed into another. Beelzebub teleported right in front of where Benjamin was lying.

Beelzebub bent down and lifted him by the collar. Benjamin struggled to get out of his grip. Beelzebub smiled then punched Benjamin upward.

Benjamin crashed back through the asteroid. When he surfaced, he saw Beelzebub already there.

Beelzebub grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. Benjamin tried to stand up but Beelzebub wouldn't let him.

He punched Benjamin in the face. While Benjamin's head was on the ground he punched it again.

Beelzebub pummeled Benjamin's head into the ground. Blood splattered on the ground as Benjamin was punched again and again.

Beelzebub finally withdrew his fist and stood up straight. Benjamin's face was deformed and bloody. "It seems that I got a bit carried away there," Beelzebub said, wiping sweat from his brow.

He picked up Benjamin and slung him over his shoulder. Blood dripped from Benjamin's face area and pooled on the ground beneath him.

Seeing what was happening, Velena began to slam the barrier with his ax. "Benjamin!!" he screamed. "Sorry, but that's a no-no," Azriel cackled.

Beelzebub looked up to see the group of kids. "Kill them," he said before turning his back on them and walking towards the machine.

Alphaeus immediately drew his sword. "Finally I can get my redemption in the eyes of Lord Beelzebub," he said, the excitement evident in his voice.

Adina rolled her eyes and walked towards the machine. Before anyone could do anything, however, Corey opened a portal beneath their feet.

"No," Velena screamed, but it was already too late. They had fallen through the portal and reappeared on the other side.
