12 Discovery of Evil

It was already 6 pm when a young man was walking in the road to his home. He cut his classes in order for him to play the online game called league of legend. He was busy playing the game that he lost track of time. It was too late for him to realize that he should go home at what his parents told him to be.

Soon as he reliazed that the night was coming, he hurriedly paid for the time he consumed while playing the game that almost spend all of his weekly allowance at once. He began to feel nervous as he already knew what will going to happen when he arrive to their home.

After paying for his expenses, he waited for the dyeepney to come but fear soon came to his little face as he realized that today was friday and during friday, all dyeepnies only traveled from 7 am to 5 pm. He was on the verge of tears as he thought for the consequences of his actions.

There was no choice but to walk the 7 kilometers long journey. At the same time, he was worried that his parents would go crazy looking for him. He knew that even though his parents were strick, they still love him as one of their children.

While he was walking, he sometimes turned around to look for a vehicle to ride but he was unlucky. There was not even a single vehicle who pass his way. He worried a lot as he sped his way towards their home.

Their house was located in the bario of Rosario. Rosario was one of the 28 barangays of San Jose which was one of the 18 towns of Antique. Rosario was devided into two portion, the upper and lower portion of land. The upper portion of land was called "babaw" and the lower portion of land was called "dalum"

When Diego couldn't find a vehicle to ride on, he began to walk faster. He was afraid that dark would caught him in the street. He was so dissappointed that he cursed himself for doing something stupid. As he continued to walk faster the sun has already sank-in in the west, leaving behind the darkness and the street light which gave a dim light.

When Diego noticed that he was walking alone, his conciousness made him trembled in fear. This was his greatest nightmare. He wouldn't dare to walk alone in the dark street which has only a dim light coming from the street light. He panicked as he remembered what his deceased grand parents told him when they were still alive.

"Don't be left in the dark when you are alone, it would be the best time for the "idalmunon" for you to become their prey." Her lolo warned him when one time when he came home late.

Soon as he remembered this thought his hair suddenly stood straight because of panick and fear. He began to shiver.

Because of these imagination, Diego has no choice but to ran. He wanted to cry when he noticed that he was running alone in this dark alley with only the dim light coming from the street light.

Soon as he started running, he heard something that made him shiver down his spine. It was just like a flapping of wings. And this flapping was mysterious. It's produced loud and destructive noise.

Diego who was on the verge of tears ran faster, he didn't want to waste his time. He was so scared that his adrenaline was activited. He ran like crazy afraid that this flapping of wings would caught up to him.

But he was wrong, even though he ran faster the flapping of wings did not leave him. It still followed him. And he felt that the distance from him slowly decreasing that made him even more depresed and scared.

Because of his curiosity toward this creature, he turned around to look what it was. But he was frozen when he found out what it was. It was one of his greatest nightmare. He shivered. He was like a statue that he can't move anymore. His knees began to lose it's strenght as he panicked. He was trembling and shaking because of fear. He regretted his actions.

Soon as he was frozen in the dark alley the winged creature formed a smile in her mouth revealing her sharp canine teeth. She knew that her spell already affected the poor little boy.

She slowly descended from the trees towards the location of her prey. She looked around inspecting if their was someone watching her in the distance. Her master told her that she needed to be extra careful when hunting.

Her master believe that even though the human are weak, when they are together they are stonger and they had a destructive weapon that can easily killed their race.

She smiled when she noticed that there was no one except for the boy. She was very happy that she was lucky during her first time to hunt. She licked her lips because she could not stop her drooling towards her prey.

She knew that the young flesh was the most delecious of the human body. It would give her strenght compared to the flessh of an animal. Although it was risky the price is worth.

She can't hold it anymore she sped down to grab the poor little boy. She was blinded by greed and joy that she never notice someone was approaching. She was focused on ravaging the poor little boy that she smiled because the price was on her front.

When Diego reliazed that there was no more hope, he closed his eyes which was full of tears. He never imagine that his life would end up like this. He regretted his actions. He promised to himself that when he will be given a 2nd chance. He would never play computer games anymore. He will follow all of her parents rules.

He waited for a moment to feel the pain but what he felt was not pain, but someone pulling him from the back. He opened his eyes and he was amazed that he was dragged away from the flying creature. Someone grabbed his school uniform and pulled him away from the monster.

But what surprised him even more was when he found out who was pulling him. He was also a student like him.

' Oh no! he just delayed my death.. we will die together soon..' Diego thought, while all the hope was gone...
