“YENGKOSU EXPLAINED”

(The Main Character will not be the narrator in all the following/upcoming chapters)

The next morning-

Chase woke up, brushed his teeth, took a bath and did all the things that he usually does. After that he headed towards the school, excited about what the girl had to say. 5 minutes after he entered the class, Lexi entered and after her the Assassin girl also entered. Soon after the class began the teacher came in and the first thing she said was "Miss Olivia why did you skip school yesterday?" in his mind Chase was thinking that, "Is Olivia her real name or is it an alias?"

Olivia then answered "I was feeling nauseated that's why I took a leave but there is no need for you to worry I'll complete my work."

"If you need help don't hesitate to ask me, alright?"

"Yeah" after saying this Olivia sat on her chair, she didn't even look at Chase and that made him really mad, then he remembered that she had told him to meet her in the library. Whilst he was in his thoughts Lexi was sneaking glances at him, she was thinking that why didn't he speak to her before the class started. After 3 classes it was break time and as usual the both of them hung out in the cafeteria but today was different, Chase didn't talk much he was focused on eating even though he was thinking about Olivia he would nod his head when Lexi made an argument against the laws of the school. She knew that he was just pretending to listen but she didn't know why he did that, she didn't have a clue about what happened yesterday. After finishing his food Chase said "I am really sorry, I have to go. It is really important please don't get mad."

He didn't even give a chance for her to speak and left for the library, in her mind she couldn't help but think "Chase is acting strange today, he is not talking to me that much. Did I do something? I guess I must've bored him but we've been friends for just 2 days that shouldn't be the reason. I think he must have made other friends, yeah that must be it!"

Meanwhile in the library-

Chase entered the library and started searching for Olivia, when he looked at a table he saw her sitting on a chair and reading a book, he didn't hesitate and sat right in front of her. "So is Olivia your real name?"

She replied "And you are?"

Chase was super annoyed when she asked him that question but he kept his cool and got up saying "Well then I think I am not needed here. I'll go back to where my friend is, see you."

"Hey you idiot sit down, I was just joking. I just wanted to see your annoyed face but your reaction was quite the opposite of what I thought it would be."

"I figured as much." Chase sat down on the chair, "So what did you want to tell me?" he asked.

"I did some research on your 'Yengkosu element' and you are one of the few who have the ability to control a natural element that is wind."

"Don't you have the Yengkosu too?"

"Yes I too have it. I call it 'Sashiki' the power that cuts through anything and it is the reason why I was able to break through your typhoon."

"Cool!"

"Judging by your reaction you can't control your power can you?"

"No, in fact I didn't even know that I had such power until you triggered it yesterday."

"I must tell you that you have to take a test to prove yourself worthy of becoming an assassin."

"A test? Come on I am really bad at these things and one more thing I don't have the ability to move fast like you or battle skills of an assassin, I can't even control my 'Yengkosu' at my will."

"You think that I had control of these powers by birth? You are so stupid, it takes time for a person to master their Yengkosu and the battle skills and speed also require harsh training but it was easy for me to earn all the techniques because I was learned them at a really young age."

"Yeah yeah, keep talking. We should head back to class the break is about to end."

"You go first, I'll return this book to the librarian." and so Chase headed towards the class.

After the school was over Chase was looking for Lexi to apologize for his immoral behavior, he searched each and every corner of the school building but was not able to find her. He thought that she must be mad at him and went on ahead without him. It couldn't be helped, he had to keep it a secret or else the consequences would be bad he was not willing to risk the life of innocent people who were in contact of the Assassins nor did he wanted to risk her life because Olivia had warned him not to say a word about his powers or else she would kill her. He then exited the school building and was heading towards the school gate but he heard a familiar voice and stopped. He then changed his direction and walked where the voice was coming from, he saw Lexi standing there but she was not alone, a bunch of boys was also there with her. It seemed like the boys were about to cause trouble (if you know what I mean), Chase couldn't just stand there so he entered the scene and grabbed the boy's hand and squeezed it so bad that he screamed in pain. "You son of a bitch! Who gave you the right to harass her? I don't care if you go fuck your girlfriend but don't you dare touch her ever again."

"And who the fuck are you? You think attacking me when I am not ready for a fight makes you a great hero, well go to hell!"

"Oh I'll take you on bastards."

Chase took down 2 of the boys, but he failed in defeating the rest of the group and so the group beat the shit out of him. "Well you failed bastard, now I'll take your arm."

Just when he was going to break Chase's arm, Olivia interrupted them and took down the boy with one kick. All the boys ran when they saw her, she picked up Chase who was lying on the ground, helpless, it seemed like he didn't have any major injuries. "You really need training or you'll definitely fail the exam. Meet me tomorrow at the Hikaru's dojo at 5. You know where it is right?" she whispered in his ear. He then replied with a "Hmm…" she then handed him to Lexi and so the both of them left and on their way home both of them faced a situation of awkward silence but Chase soon broke it "I am really sorry for ditching you, I swear that you had nothing to do with my immoral behavior. I am sorry that I was not with you when they started the whole harassing thing."

"No I am sorry. If I hadn't misunderstood you and went on ahead this would have never happened and by the way thanks for saving me out there." She replied.

"You are my first friend ever! So now it's like you are my best friend so no need to thank me."

Both of them forgave each other and then when she escorted him to his house the both of them said goodbye. As he saw her figure disappear he thought about the training that Olivia was talking about, will it be tough or will it be super tough.
