45 A Temporary Farewell part 2

Third POV
Father and Mother lead the Prince towards the special hall, where we were going to entertain the guest. The food was already arranged and was placed on the table, Two seats were prepared for Father and the Prince
Vergil was with Sunniva as he did not speak with the prince instead spent the time chatting with Sunniva, since he had already ate before he just did the bare minimum courtesy same with Sunniva
When the dinner was approaching the end the prince finally said to me
"Young hero Vergil, I have already said before but still thank you for saving Sunniva" He said as he raised a glass of Wine
"My pleasure" Vergil said as he also raised a glass of juice clinking glasses with him
"So now what would you like as a reward?" He asked as he took a sip
"Your highness there is no need for a reward, like I said I was only doing my job" Vergil said helpless, what's with all these nobles giving him rewards is there pride to much
"Even so I insist lets just take this as gift for taking care of Sunniva " He said gently but a little forceful, nonetheless the smile remained on his face
Vergil was quiet for a while; he secretly looked at his father, who did not reject him. And then at Sunniva who shook her indicating that it was up to him
"Than your highness, please give me a reward that you see fit for saving the princess" Vergil said cleverly throwing back the question at the prince
Father had a smile on his face he also was looking how Prince will respond to his sons request
"Naturally, for me no reward could come close to the life of my beloved little sister" Prince although a little surprised he still managed to deal with Vergil response
"Than how about this" Prince suddenly said
He took out a piece of Box from his Storage device it was special wooden box made from ancient wood as it seem to be carved for protecting the treasure inside
"This is currently the most valuable thing I have on my hand, you can have this…" He said generously as the Box floated towards me
Sunniva recognized the Box her eyes widened as she exclaimed
"Elder brother this…" She was about to say but was stopped by The prince
"Sunniva even this feels short for me as the reward to save you" He said as his eyes full of gentleness looking at his little sister
Vergil raised a brow at there reaction clearly this box had something of extraordinary significance such that Sunniva will react strongly to it
"Than I shall grateful accept the reward" Vergil said as he bowed a little to show his gratitude
Vergil without opening put the box in his space pocket, leaving it for latter
The banquet went without any issues, after eating we were served tea and sweets, than some interesting talks between Father and the Prince, he looked as if an old friend came to visit without any airs of a superior
And just like that it was approaching deep in the night that the banquet ended
The Prince and Sunniva were about to leave as they were standing at the exit, father offered them to stay but he denied saying
"Royal Father really misses Sunniva, so we have to leave tonight using special teleportation channels"
Father forced no more as he bade farewell Sunniva looked at Vergil with reluctance but she also misses her family
"Sunniva see you at the Academy" Vergil said as he looked at her
They knew today was temporary farewell, but also looked forward to meeting again
Sunniva smiled as both her and Vergil made eye contact conveying her thoughts
Than suddenly Sunniva stepped forward her face near Vergil's chest as she gave him a quick Hug before parting and going towards her vehicle
"See you latter Vergil" she said as she smiled her face a little red from the bold behavior
Vergil was stunned but smiled and waved back as he watched Sunniva entering the Vehicle
Mother showed a sad smile she was also fond of the princess but than she looked at Vergil and smiled deeply
The whole Winchester family watched as the Royal carriage vanished before their eyes making its way towards it destination
"Lets go" Father said as Vergil looked one last time, than made his way towards home
Vergil POV
It's been two weeks since the departure of the princess, and only one month is left before the entrance exam for the Academy
I am still living my life with the addition of Alchemy practice to my existing Sword and Magic practice. I have already reached the peak of Tier 3 and 3 Star. Now I am beginning to feel like I have hit a wall and it's very difficult to pass through
I have reached a bottleneck in my cultivation it would seem. I consulted Father about it and he said it was normal, when the time is right you can break through this wall easily. So I just polished my foundation waiting for my chance
Currently I am practicing my swordsmanship, I have learned more in depth about the simplistic style path that I am currently practicing 'leaving everything redundant only the most basic and efficient moves are the best moves' that is the basic principle behind this sword path according to my current understanding
Also my Magic has been streamlined, practicing alchemy also helped making mana circle more effective in controlling output of my mana, casting time has also been reduced to the minimum. I am trying to Focus on another advanced skill 'Parallel Casting', Multiple spells at the same time, but it's been difficult
As for Alchemy I am able to make Grade 1 peak potions, now I am able to perfectly extract the essence of the ingredients, as for Grade 2 I can only make low grade potions I tried making intermediate one but the success has been quite low
"May its enough for today" I said as I ended today's session
"Yes young master" May said as he brought me a towel
I was drinking water to relive my thirst
"Young master when will you be leaving for the capital" May asked me
Even though the Academy starts in about 3 weeks, the entrance exam will be held in advance so I need to go earlier to the Capital, there are also some minor formalities that I need to complete
"Probably in about a week, also father said I will be going with Eliza she will also arrive in about a few days" I said
Baron Beaumont and my Father are very good friends so we will be traveling together, Also Eliza father is currently in Capital so I will stay with them temporarily, before Accommodation is allocated to us
"Than I should prepare for the departure, We will probably be coming back a year latter" May said
Noble sons are allowed to bring one maid or butler as their entourage, but they cannot interfere with the students' daily operation. I obviously will be taking May with me, honestly I have become quite dependent on her for my daily necessities
"Well I should leave father also called me to his study" I said as I agreed with May
I washed myself off before going to the Study
