22 Speculation

Crime Unit of Imperial City Police Department, Thursday Night.

Captain Ling and Huo Youyou sat across each other in the meeting room. They were focused on the report that sprawled all over the table.

After Captain Ling ordered everyone to Investigate the relationship among the woman and victims further, they directly executed the order and went to look for evidences and traces. Fortunately, they could gather some evidences because the woman was popular enough in her circle of friends.

From the information they obtained from her schoolmates, the woman disappeared in the second semester of their sophomore. Her disappearance was an uproar in their school as her love story with Shen Yu was well known. At that time, everyone was puzzled about her sudden disappearance and Shen Yu that announced their break up.

As everyone followed her 'life' from this point, they found the reason about her disappearance.

She left the school and her boyfriend because she was defiled by three of her classmates.

It was a big blow to her. She was still a teenager who had not even 18 years old, but she experienced that terrible event.

She reported those classmates to the police but they didn't do anything and could only become a bystander because the classmates were high born - their families intercepted her report and pressured the police chief where she reported her case. As the result, she could not find the justice she had always believed in. Not only they did intercepted her, they also spread some rumors about her being a mistress of high socialites. At the beginning, she was still able to hold on but after some days since the rumors spread, she couldn't handle the condemn and curses from her surrounding, she decided to dropped out from the school.

But, before the woman dropped out, she went to talk to Shen Yu multiple times, trying to convince him that all the rumors were false. But unfortunately, he didn't believe her and left her brokenhearted.

The encounter of the woman with the first victim, Fu Chaoyang happened after four years later. The woman was a waitress in a cafe that Fu Chaoyang frequently visited. Their sparks of romance finally bloomed after some conversations. They were in relationship for about one year before they broke up.

And the woman seemed to be unlucky when it comes to man.

He Chaoyang found out about the incident and rumors. Initially, he didn't believe it but after he was repeatedly instigated by his female colleague who happened to have a crush on him, he finally exploded. After that, he cheated on the woman and became the man of his female colleague.

After some days, the woman found about his misdeed. And on the same day, she broke up with him after he blurted out everything about her incident and rumors.

Brokenhearted for the second time, the woman committed suicide by junping down to Musi river from the Golden Bridge, one of many bridges in Imperial City. Up until now, the police still couldn't find her corpse.

"Hah...she was so unlucky." Captain Ling sighed heavily after he read the report. Indeed, the woman was unlucky to meet the same type of man.

Huo Youyou nodded in agreement as his eyes till focus on the report. He read the woman's basic information.

The woman's name was Zhao Shuangshuang. Both her parents died in car crash when she was five year old. Because there was none of her family wanted to take care of her, she was sent to the orphan by her uncle.

In the orphanage, she was a sensible child and was liked by the others. She was a sunny kid that bring laughter to everyone - that was what the matron of the orphanage said.

She had close relationship with two orphans, the first was Qi Kang who was five years older than her and the second was Chen Xiao, a boy who was one year younger than her.

They were like siblings until Qi Kang and Chen Xiao were adopted three years after her arrival. They were brought to the overseas by the families that adopted them so they couldn't communicate as much as they used to be. Moreover, the technology at that time was not as advance as now. It contributed to their relationship that gradually strained.

"Youyou, have you contacted Qi Kang and Chen Xiao?" Captain Ling asked as he wanted to gather more evidences.

Youyou nodded, "Yes i have. But both of them are still in overseas. I've requested them about the relationship between her and them. They answered some of my questions."

"What did you ask?"

"Mainly about her personality and some other people related to her that they might knew."

"And did you trust them?"

"Honestly speaking, no. A big NO." Youyou replied when he put the report on the table. Then he continued, "I need to meet both of them later because they informed me that they'll return to the country soon."

"Just meet them later. I'll handle everything. But now, we need to determine where the homicide will appear and who the target is."

Huo Youyou was holding some photos of Zhao Shuangshuang. In some separate photos, she was with the victims and her two brothers as well as some other people they had not investigated.

"Yes chief. Based on the information we gathered, i think the murder will occur in..." Youyou began speaking as he explained his conclusion through the information they had.

In a Mediterranean Style Villa in the outskirt of Imperial City, a man was sitting near the window and looked up at the sky. The clouds drifted away as the wind blew until it completely covered the moon. The dim moonlight was completely concealed by the clouds.

"Customer W -012, we can now execute your order." a man in a ninja like costume suddenly appeared. His entire being was covered in black, only his two sharp eyes were still visible.

The man nodded as he stood up. He took the wine glass on the table near him and gulped the wine in one go. "Hehehe. Let's go."
