36 Our Family

Sunday Morning

Because William didn't want to go back home, Elena reluctantly let him stay overnight in the guest room beside her room.

It was almost six and William woke up as usual. He looked so dashing even he had just woken up. His hair was not as neat as when he was in the office or when he fetched Elena. His hair was like a messy bird nest but it didn't make him look bad, instead, it gave hin the vibe of bad boy.

He was still in pjyama that he always put in his working bag (because he always hoped that Elena would invite him to stay overnight). He was in a happy mood because not only he had a good sleep but also because the most important fact was that he woke up in his girlfriend house.

William felt like he wanted to throw a party inwardly. He was happy beyond anything!

He walked to the kitchen and took some ingredients from the fridge as he shook his booty and did a celebratory dance. He hummed all the romantic song he knew as he dance like he was in a romantic play.

As he was immersed in happiness, he cut the vegetables and ingredients and put them in the pan. In another pan, he put some rice he had cleaned and submerged it in chicken stock. He wanted to cook chicken porridge with some side dishes.

After he finished cooking, he stood in front of her door and asked softly. "Baby, do you want to eat? i've prepared the breakfast for you."

He didn't hear any reply.

He asked once again and hoped for a response but still, he didn't hear her reply.

William sighed. His baby must be still in her slumber. He walked to the kitchen and decided to wait for her.

After about five minutes, he finally saw her coming out of her room. She yawned like a lazy cat with her lion-mane-like hair. "Baby, here. I've cooked our breakfast." William patted the seat beside him.

Elena nodded unconsciously although she didn't hear what he had just said. She walked and sat near him. She took the rice and pick the chopsticks. Then, she robotically ate her breakfast.

William sensed something strange. "What happen to you baby?"

Elena didn't answer.

William was unable to get her attention so he snapped his finger in front of her face.

Flick!

The sound of his fingers was effective. She replied, "En, there is nothing." Elena told him half truth and half lie. It was true that she currently had nothing in her mind. It was just because she was unable to close her eyes even for a moment.

It was her first time to have a man sleep under the same roof with her. Though they did nothing and went into separate room, her mind couldn't help but remember what he said about eating her. What if the man take an advantage of her? She shook her head and locked her door. Then, another question came up. What if he opened the door by force and forced him to me? Elena's heartbeat turned erratic and she felt restless when she thought about it. She was sure that she sensed danger so her body could only reacted that way. Because of that, she decided not to sleep the whole night, trying to guard herself from the wolf she involuntarily invited to her house.

Elena's speculation was rather right. William did want to sleep on the same bad with her but he restrained himself because it was only his first time to sleep in her house. He didn't want to frightened her so he promised himself that he would do what he had in mind after some visits.

They ate their breakfast in good feeling, well, it was better to say that it was actually William who felt good.

William made two cups of tea after their breakfast. He gave one cup to her as he sipped his. "Baby, today we'll go to the place that i'm fond of. The place with my childhood memories."

Elena took the cup as she asked, "Where? Your school? your friend's house?"

William shook his head and smiled mysteriously. "No. They were not."

"Then where are we going to?"

"Jus follow me later. We'll go half an hour later." He stood up from his chair and washed the plates and everything he used in the sink. Elena, on the other hand just nonchalantly sipped her tea.

They looked like a pair of tyrannical wife and a bullied husband.

...

Elena drove with William to the place he said before. They passed through the road that Elena was unfamiliar with. Although she wanted to ask William, she was sure that he would not reply. So she could only keep silent.

William grinned from ear to ear. He was like an idiot who finally got what he wished for.

After thirty minutes of driving, they arrived at a majestic gate. Elena saw some people in military-like outfit stood near the gate.

Those people wanted to stop their car by standing in front of the car but after they saw the car's plate, they move backward and let the car in.

They went to another twenty minutes, passing the green and lush forest. It had a completely different scene with the Imprial City that was full of skyscrapers.Elenaly. 'Are we still in Imperial City?' She shook her head as she felt the question was too stupid. They are still in Imperial City and that was the fact.

Elena who was in daze finally returned to the reality after the car stopped in front of a huge mansion in Mediterranean style. She was astonished by what she saw. The mansion was beautiful and grand but there were some touch of elegance in it. "Darling, where are we now?"

William had got off from the car and was walked around to open the door's car for Elena. He replied as he grinned, "My house. We'll meet our family." William decisively change 'my' to 'our'. Well, it wouldn't hurt to try right? Moreover, when she became his wife, everything his would become hers too.

Elena was speed. His house? Why did it feel like it was so fast? It had not even been a week but why did he bring her to meet his family? And what the heck 'our family' mean? It was his, not hers okay.
