The Riddle Of The Broken Pebble

If I solve this riddle for you, will you give me back this lake? It’s summer in South China and the son of a restaurant owner, Luo Xing, ventures down the same path every single day. However, one evening on his way home, he comes across a boy of similar age, Dai Weiyuan, wearing the local cultivator uniform standing alone by a familiar lake. Each year, the Hai Di sect, makes the first year cultivators try and solve a different riddle revolving around water. Much to Luo Xing aggriences - the sect closed off his favourite swimming lake, in the middle of summer, just to solve some silly riddle surrounding the lake. Nonetheless, the one conversation held that evening between the two strangers, would lead them on the same path for a long time longer than what Luo Xing could even imagine. But if he could instead go back in time and ignore the cultivator that evening, Luo Xing would not. As like spring and summer - they are always meant to be beside each other.
