'Huh, what is wrong with the ring tone? I haven't ever heard that ringtone from my phone.. I remember my ringtone for notifications was a single ding' Kyle frowned and took out his phone to check what the ringtone was about.

Are you freaking serious? Are you really trying to get me killed by making me go against two thugs? The reward is also too tempting... Should I trust the app? Or should I just ignore it?? Wait how did that organization know that there is a girl in trouble right now in front of me? What if the app is real and what if I fail and I receive punishment for not completing it... Damn this thing didn't even tell me what the punishment is and I don't even want to think how cruel it would be since the reward is so handsome.

I don't want to take meaningless risks with my life so I guess I will just try to do what this thing is telling me to confirm if the thing is real or not. I looked around to see if I could use something as a weapon in case things take turn for the worse.

Next to a nearby tree, I found some bricks. I picked two of them and hid them behind my back and walked to the three of them with both my hands behind my back.

"Hey babe, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to wait for me outside the park until I get back from the store to buy some cigarettes? "I said with a little smile on my face as I slowly approached them and acting like I didn't know how tense the situation was there.

All three of them looked at me with a confused expression, especially the lady, but I guess she really is a smart woman since she realized what I was planning to do and she also instantly started playing along, however, what she said next almost made me vomit blood.

"Oh I am so sorry hubby but I wanted to come here and sit on the bench over there near the gate because I got too tired waiting for you but as you can see these two bad people surrounded me and also started to bully your cute girlfriend, aren't you going to protect me?" She said while making a puppy face but I could see a hint of a mockery in her eyes.

'Damn girl I know I tried to take advantage of the situation by calling someone as beautiful as you my girlfriend but you didn't have to pay me back like this, but I can't even turn back from this anymore because if I do then that would mean that I would fail this stupid quest. I guess I have no other choice now but to continue to play along with it.' Kyle thought as he was wiping cold sweat from his forehead.

"Oh of course baby don't worry about it, I called the cops the moment I saw them messing with my cute girlfriend and they should be approaching at any moment now." I said with a confident smile to make it look as honest as I could. 'I bet with this kind of acting I could easily win acting awards'.

"Shit big brother this a**hole called the police. What should we do now?" the second thug said with a worrisome tone to the first thug who seemed to be his elder brother or at a higher position in his gang.

The first thug looked at me and said to the second thug while gritting his teeth "Let's leave for now we don't have time for him now, we will deal with him the next time we see him." they both quickly left after he said that.

After confirming that both of them left, I threw the bricks in my hand aside and looked at her face which was controlling so hard to laugh while covering her mouth by her hand.

"Do you have something to say or is there something on my face which is making you laugh?"

Right after I said that she couldn't hold herself back and started laughing out loud like a maniac making me look at her dumbfoundedly. After some time she was finally able to calm herself down and said "Did you really bring bricks with you to fight those thugs?"

"Well duh! Who knew if the situation got worse and they began to fight? I am not that strong to take two guys out by myself without anything to use as a weapon." I said to her in an irritated tone.

"Haha, anyways thanks for saving me there. I don't know if you didn't come on time to save me, what would have happened to me." She said with a bright smile which could charm anyone on her face. The smile was so charming that I suddenly looked away to hide my blushing face.

"I don't think you are thankful at all. You literally tried changing their target to me just so you could escape and leave me behind with them." I said with a bitter smile.

"Hehe don't be like that, weren't you the first one to take me an advantage of me by calling me your babe by using the situation?" she said while grinning.

"Well anyways, what is a girl like you doing alone at night in a place like this where there is almost no one and you also seem to be from a rich family by looking at your branded clothes, aren't you afraid someone might do something to you?" I asked while dodging her question totally.

"Aren't you quite an observing one? Well, what you said about me coming from a family with some background is true but I just came here by sneaking away from my house since I was curious about the nightlife here."

"Why would you do something stupid like that and what do you mean by being curious about the nightlife here, aren't you from this country, Zercen?" Kyle asked her with a confused look

"Hehe, look at how confused your facial expression looks right now. You are half correct because I originally am from Zercen and a pure Zercian but six years ago I went to The Tiusle Empire to study abroad because there were some problems going on in my family. Now that the problems are dealt with, my parents allowed me to come back and I just arrived in the morning." She answered my question with the same smile.

"That's nice but I think it's getting late now and your parents might be really worried about you missing from your home on the same day you came here" I said to her to finish our conversation here and now because I really wanted to see if I got my rewards or was it just a scam and most probably we won't ever meet each other again so I didn't really see a point in dragging a conversation with her.

"Yeah, I guess you are right, so I will leave now. By the way thanks again for saving me and nice to meet you, my name is Anamarie Cox. She said looking at me.

"No problem and My name is Kyle Adams, nice to meet you too." I replied her.

After saying bye to each other we went on our own ways.
