1 Go to Sleep oh My Tired Little Baby

Hahahaha..." a woman laughed satirically. Her tears rolled down from her beautiful eyes. Her hair was messy. Her eyes were swollen because she had been crying for so long. She wanted to stop her tears but it was like water that broke through a dam, unstoppable and uncontrollable. When she moved herself to the cradle beside her, her skin was exposed because the quilt that concealed her body fall down. Everyone in the room gasped in disbelief when they saw the woman's body. There were bruises in her body, her arms, legs and torso were full of dark blue-green marks that overlapped the old bruises.

Her body was trembling violently when she hold a bundle in her arms. She caressed it carefully, as if it was so fragile while murmuring something that nobody in the room could understand.

In that bundle was her son.

Her dead son.

She looked at her son fondly as she kissed him. She cradled him in her arms tightly but carefully, as if he was the only treasure she had in this world. Her tears stopped falling when she began to sing a lullaby.

"Go to sleep, go to sleep oh my tired little baby

You're the best little boy that a mummy ever had.

Rest your head, close your eyes and drift off to dreamland

Rest your head, close your eyes and slide off to sleep.

See the stars in the sky they are twinkling for you

And the moon shining brightly tells you it is time for bed

See the stars in the sky they are twinkling for you

And the moon up on high tells you it is time for bed

Go to sleep, go to sleep oh my tired little baby

You're the best little boy that a mummy ever had."

The woman still hold her son in her arms, gazing out of the pitch darkness outside. She was devoid of any expressions. Her grief earlier would seem as an illusion if her eyes were not red and swollen. She was tired both physically and mentally.

Then, she sat on the bed. Her devoid expression flickered when she saw the little guy in her arms. Her eyes were tender, full of love, but, when she shifted her gaze to somewhere else, her numb expression returned and the tenderness she shown earlier gone.

She put her son on her bed when she whipped her phone out of the drawer beside her bed.

She unlocked her phone and deleted the only photo she had with the greatest scum in her life. She took the card out of the phone and split it into two before she tossed it out of the window.

The woman closed her eyes, trying to regain her mental balance although she knew that she would never be able to reach the balance ever again. Her son's death was a fatal blow to her. It broke her world, her everything. She felt all sufferings and insults she endured all this time were useless because her little boy had gone for forever.

Now, her baby had returned to the God's side and she had no reason to endure everything. She looked at other people in the room coldly. They were her late grandfather's subordinates. "Bring me out."

They replied in unison, "Yes Miss."

The five people were trained bodyguards and were the butlers of her grandfather household. They had passed hellish training and endured countless injuries. They had killed countless people with their hands that their hearts and emotions should be numb.

But, when they saw their young miss cries, the emotions that had been dormant for who-knows-how-long erupted like a volcano. Their eyes were red although they shed no tears. They clenched their fists whenever they remembered how heartbreaking their young miss cries was.

The woman lifted her son and cradled him. She walked to the door and said to the subordinates. "Prepare My Little Melon's funeral."

The subordinates replied, "Yes Miss."

The woman nodded. She walked out of the room, holding her dear son. The subordinates could hear the whimper from the woman. Her whimper was so pitiful that their tears unknowingly rolled down from their eyes. They looked sympathetically at their miss lonely back.

Two of the five subordinates were women. When they saw how pitiful their young miss was, their tears were almost fall down but they knew they could not cry in front of their young miss. After their young miss left, the tears that had threaten to fall finally rolled down from their eyes. The other bodyguards were also in tears although they were not as hysteric as the two women.

They drowned in grieve before their leader strated talking, breaking the ambience, "Let's go. We need to prepare young master funeral."

The others nodded, "Yes Leader."

They buried their sadness deep down in their heart because they knew that their young miss must be sadder than them.

They resolutely swore that they would do everything their young miss command. But, the first thing they would do definitely: destroy the scums and bitches that made their young miss suffer.

...

The woman gazed up at the night sky, still holding her dead son. There were no stars or moon. It was completely dark, like her heart that had plunged to endless darkness.

There were no expressions on her beautiful face, only malicious and menacing rage reflected in her eyes.

She swore that she would bring all those inhuman creatures down to the deepest hell at all cost!
