1 One Day, the True Queen Will Return to The Kingdom

A sound of a baby's cry was heard in the dark and dump room. The woman on the bed looked pale and fragile. A tear was falling from her eyes the moment she saw her baby.

"My Queen, the princess looks very healthy." An elf girl said with her bright smile.

"Let me see her." The woman on the bed said with her weak and soft voice. "Her skin was fair. It's like a bright crystal…"

She hugged her baby as if it was the most precious thing in her life. Then, she couldn't stop crying with her tight heart. Other people in the room felt heartbroken from witnessing this scene. About 3 months ago, the war occurred in the Midnight Kingdom. The victory belonged to the rebellion. For this reason, the pregnant Queen, Katherine V. Fradinight, escaped to the distant poor area, while the King, Kington V. Fradinight, was executed.

What funny was the fact that on one knew the existence of the little princess because it was kept as a secret to protect the royal's bloodline. Both the Queen and the King were noble vampire; therefore, the princess was a powerful vampire without a doubt. Vampires had a long-live span. However, it was rare for them to conceive a child. Hence, only a few vampires were living in the Midnight kingdom.

"Racheal, please take care of my daughter… One day, the true Queen will return to the Kingdom…" The Queen closed her eyes after she finished that sentence.

"My Queen!"

"Your Highness!"

Everyone in the room was crying in deep sorrow. They'd already known about the Queen's weak state. The Queen used her power too much while they were fleeing from their enemies. She also used her power to hide all of them from their enemies' eyes. Although she knew giving birth required a big amount of her power, she still did that to protect them. Now the Queen died, her power will disappear as well. Sooner or later, their enemies will come after all of them. It wasn't a time for commemoration.

"What should we do now, Rafael?"

"Racheal, you bring the princess to the human world. The current King, Jafa Delan, won't able to follow you there."

"What about you guys?"

"Tylor and I will bait the enemies, while France took the Queen's body to the royal cemetery. We can't let anyone know about the princess."

"Let's do as Rafael said. We don't have much time."

After that, all of them separated to carry out their duty. The current King of the Midnight kingdom was Jafa, the most vicious lust demon. His Queen was Milina Delan, the succubus. Truth to be told, the Midnight kingdom was once the place for only good demons until the rebellion declared the war and killed the previous King.

When the previous King died, the Midnight kingdom was full of the heartless fiends. The good were treated cruelly. There are many kinds of the demon in the kingdom which were classified by how powerful they were. The S-rank was the most powerful, while the D-rank was the weakest. Most of D-rank demons became a servant of the higher rank because they need protection from the strong one. And the strong were more likely to take advantage of the weak. This world was unfair since the weak didn't have a choice at all.

Back to the present, Rachael and the princess went to the human world, while the Rafael group still fought the enemies.

"Rafael, if we fight longer, the more will come up," Tylor shouted.

"You go first. I'll hold them here."

Then Tylor went to the cemetery to check up on France. It seemed that France had just finished his mission, putting the Queen body into the coffin and burying her.

"Is everything okay?" Tylor asked.

"Yes. How's Rafael?"

"He'll come soon. Those lowly ranked underlings aren't his match."

Soon, Rafael came with no sweat. He didn't look like he had fought with the bunch of enemies at all. Then the trio nodded to each other.

"Let's go. It's been so long since the last time we go to the human world."

Then all of them disappeared into the black hole created by Rafael.
