105 Is It My Birthday Gift?

"Are you alright back there?" Blake looked at the backseat of his car through the rearview mirror, asking Lillian about her comfort.

Clare was too drunk to be left on her own, so he found it better to have her sitting at the front of the car with him than having her strapped with a seat belt on her own at the backseat.

"I am fine. I am not the one who drank you know." She was fighting the urge to roll her eyes at him. She only glanced in his direction before shifting her gaze back to the lit up screen of her phone.

She was focusing on the moving character in her phone's screen more than her surroundings because it was utterly useless. She wasn't a fan of playing these games, but at the same time she found them to be an effective way to pass her time.

"Okay." He didn't know what else to say to her in return, so he chose to keep his mouth shut and keep his attention on the road ahead.
