'This is exhausting,' thought Aezir as he sat down on the maroon jeepney seat between two male students wearing a white polo and black slacks. He then tidied up his uniform, similar to the other students. 'Day in day out, same old things repeat by day.' lamented Aezir as he ran his fingers through his short black hair. 'When can I get out of this mundaneness?' he pondered while looking at his tender brown eyes and signature kayumanggi (brown) skin in the horizontal metal pole attached to the jeepney roof.

"Ding!" the sound of notification reverberated through the ears of Aezir. For some reason, he felt that it resounded through the entire world.

'Woah!' he exclaimed in his thoughts due to the sudden halt of the jeepney. 'Be careful what you wish for, I guess.' he thought when he saw a holographic blue screen in front of him.

Notification (1): Congratulations, Earthlings! Through the efforts of your ancestors, Earth has been successfully recorded in the Akashic Records of the Universe.

Notification (2): As a benefit for every planet in the Akashic Records, Earth is now allowed to access the powers of the Universe through the System!

Notification (3): Various societies, planets, and alliances expressed their wills to conquer Earth, hence triggering an Ultimate Quest.

'What the hell?' bewilderment filled the mind of Aezir; however, it was quickly turned to excitement. 'Yes! This is just like the manhwas I read. To think that something of sorts would actually realize. Amazing!'

'Damn. That is one hell of a quest…Conquering Earth, huh? It seems like it will be just as bloody as those novels,' pondered Aezir.

Faces of shock were worn by almost everyone inside the jeepney. They were all confused about the situation. Almost simultaneously, everyone looked at each other with the same thought. 'Did they receive it as well?' And just as fast as they asked, they knew the answer.

Aezir continued to slide to the next page of the screen.

Description: The world will change drastically. Earthquakes, typhoons, and other calamities will befall upon Earth for three days and three nights due to the introduction of Mana to Earth. The event will start on May 1, 2022 (Earthlings' Calendar) at 00:00 UTC (Earthling's Time).

Goal: Survive the calamity

Reward: Beginner Pack (x1)

Failure: Die from the calamity

'Damn! It will actually start the day after tomorrow. 00:00 UTC…That is 8:00 am here in the Philippines. I need to prepare immediately!' Concluded Aezir. Realizing that the jeepney would not move anymore, he quickly got out of it and ran home. Thankfully, the range is within walking distance.

Aezir stopped in front of a single-floored house that could not be more ordinary. The house was grey by the color of the cement. It was not even furnished since one can still see walls of hollow blocks glued together by cement. Aezir walked straight to the brown door made of plywood. He then inserted his silver key into the lock that binds a silver chain connected to the door and the wall.

Inside, one can see an old mattress leaning on the right wall. Parallel to the door, the kitchen is already visible without even a curtain separating it: no television, table, or even chair inside the lone room. However, even though the things are old, everything is clean. No dishes on the sink, oil on the single burner stove, and even perceivable dust on the cement floor.

"Sigh," audibly said Aezir as he once again saw the remnants of his home. This is what was left to him after his mother committed suicide due to his father leaving the house for another woman. It was already bad enough that his father had left them, but he also cleaned out the wallet of his mother, and took the TV and other tools in the house. His parents leaving him on the exact same day left a devastating blow to Aezir. All was still fresh since it only happened last year. He had no relatives nearby since they moved to the province and away from their families. All that is left on Aezir is hope and a dream. Thankfully, his mindset is excellent, and he navigated the storm well.

"I need to survive. This is the time to change my life!" he said.
