Chapter 76: How did it go?

Kalon walked back to the tavern with Igris and sat at the bar as Igris announced that the kitchen would open for business and then went about accepting orders. The tavern soon filled with people, and it became noisy with the chattering of dozens of customers.

"So, how did it go?" A voice called out as Kalon was sitting with his back to the customers. He turned his head to the left and noticed that Aria had sat down beside him and was looking at him with curiosity.

"What?" Kalon asked as she distracted him from his thoughts.

"How did the exam go? I tried asking Igris, but he said that I shouldn't ask him. If I want to know, then I should ask you." Aria explained as she looked over to the kitchen where her husband was cooking up a storm.
