Lily wanted to run straight to her room and hide from the face of the Earth. What was she thinking about going to the beach with Ray Carter? She was supposed to avoid him and make sure nobody in Fram Hill saw them together.

But, no! She had to say yes and was drinking smoothies and almost acting beyond friendly with him instead.

Making matters worse, she knew the newcomer who interrupted her and Ray because now there was another witness added to the ever-growing list of the School Cutest Couple sightings.

The newcomer—tall, slender, and athletic—beamed and said to Ray, "Ray! It's really you. I didn't expect I'd find you here." Her name was Abiel Adams, a member of the school's swimming team.

Lily was sure that Abiel's eyes lit up when Ray's name escaped her lips.

"Umm… I'm sorry, but do I know you?" Ray asked.
