4 04: The Mysterious Traveller

Recently, after the events of the fight between Diablo and the arrogant man, 'the mysterious traveller' had become the centre of attention around the small village. To be fair, it is a rare thing around the Human Sector to see such a young boy shatter the bones of a fully grown man, never mind with one simple punch.

With a clear smile on his face, Diablo walked again out of the small inn as he was met with curious gazes from the villages, this however did not affect the friendly smiles they gave when the mysterious boy passed by. By now, Diablo had realized he had become the centre of attention, though not knowing why, he decided it was best if he didn't repeat the scene that had occurred just a few days ago.

"Good Morning" one of the villages shouted with an inviting smile, making Diablo feel even better than he did before.

"Good Morning" he returned nonchalantly, he wanted to make sure he didn't do anything else that would attract attention, as with the attention he had already gained, he had to be very careful that no one found out he was a demon. With that in mind, he decided to keep a calm expression as to not make matters worse than they already are.

Even though he knew humans were very kind, considering how much despair and sadness the demons had brought humans in the past, he knew that if they were to find out he was a demon, they would probably kill him. In addition to working hard to act as humanly as possible, he had to gather more information on the human world so he could come up with a good plan of what to do next, as the books he read in the Demonic Sector were only efficient for learning the basics of human nature. After the attention that fight brought, he knew that even more now.

In the distance he saw a petite girl wearing a black cloak which hid her innocent, little face. She seemed to be looking for something, and as Diablo had identified that if she owed him a favour he might be able to get information out of her, he decided to go over and help.

"Are you looking for something" he said in an inviting tone with a large, friendly smile on his face. At first, the girl looked at him curiously, realizing that he was the mysterious traveller she had heard so much about.

"Yes, it seems I've lost something precious to me" This made Diablo think 'You could be more specific', but then he realized it must be something valuable and she didn't want to tell anyone in case they'd steal it.

"I understand. If you need help then I can, I'm good at finding missing things" The girl stared at him for a moment, but after seeing his friendly smile, she decided to let him help her.

For a while, they walked around aimlessly looking for it. Diablo had already found what she was looking for, it was a pendant with a magical stone incrusted inside. Of course, he didn't want to cause anymore attention so he decided to wait for a while until he 'stumbled upon it'.

"Oh wait! Is this it?" he said as he held up a pretty silver pendant, acting as genuinely surprised as possible as to not make her suspicious.

"Yes, you found it" the small girl exclaimed as a pleasant smile formed on her small face. Slowly, Diablo handed her the pendant and she thanked him with a nice smile.

"Before you go, do you know anything about this place. This is my first time around this part" She looked at him confused, then quickly realized his question and started explaining many things about the village. Through these facts, Diablo was able to read between the lines and gain some knowledge on human history and more importantly, the way humans act. Before she left, she thanked him again and walked off back into the distance.

'That was a good amount of information' he said internally, as he thought about how well worth that encounter was. He was really lucky to have been able to meet that small girl, otherwise it would have taken him ages to find out the things she had told him. Thinking on some of the things she had said, he noticed she said a demon called 'Ragan' had attacked this village in the past and that a large battle between this demon and one of the heroes had went down near where this village is located, that's how the village got the name "Yondo Town" after the heroes name.

Strangely, the demon was said to have monstrous power and was even able to use some of the magic that humans used, this was something not even the most powerful demons could do. From what the young girl had said, the battle had been a complete bloodbath and if it weren't for that hero, the entire village might have been wiped out along with the many villages surrounding it as well. By all accords, this demon had unimaginable strength, comparable to that of a demon general and on top of that was able to use even human magic.

The problem was, there were no records of this demon ever existing in the demons history books and there was no way the demons wouldn't have heard of such a powerful warrior, this lead Diablo to believe that something else was going on her and that perhaps, not all humans were as kind-hearted as he once thought they were.
