10 9.The banquet 1

The Emperess walked up and down in her room..waiting anxiously for the news of rolan's death to be brought to her.....she had been waiting for some moments when she heard rolan's servant came back to get a cloak for him she wondered whether they had started the ambush already so she arranged for her guards to delay the servant for some time before the servant insisted and left...but she let the servant go because she thought it would be good if the servant picks up his dead body that will save her some trouble and suspicion.... suddenly she got news of the prince's body arriving , she became over joyed but she then heard he was still alive only injured...her mood dropped...'now I won't have another opportunity to kill him...I can only suppress him ..for now ' she sighed.....'what am I even worried of my two sons are more talented than him...at least one of them can win the heart of the princess that is coming...' she chuckled inwardly as her servant brought her food for her..

Mira and her daughter sat in a room deeply in thought....as they had entered rolan's room and found him completely fine as he explained that it was a scheme...when they asked of the assasins he said he had been saved by an expert who then helped him unlock his element ..when they asked which he said lightning which made them shocked as lightning is rare...only one in a million get it....as lightning is the mixture of fire ..water , air and earth in an unknown method...lightning user could sometimes separate the lightning into different elements...they also noticed that their son and brother had changed ...in the way he thinks, the way he speaks..when asked why he said he didnt want to die from assasination again and he was somehow tired of scholarly life..they also noticed that he had become more handsome and attractive even his body shape became attractive when he was asked he said he didnt even notice it....and acted shocked at the discovery ..they knew he was telling them half lies and truths....but they decided to wait until he is ready to tell them as they didnt even think of forcing him....

Rolan sat on his throne playing with his sword...which followed him to this world..." this sword has accompanied all of our reincarnations ...it has become a gateway to hell as anyone who hears the name of the sword..the life reaper shivers...this sword once made a name here so when using it ...kill all witnesses or else you will be hunted throughout your life..rolan admired his body again as he thought of how handsome he had become.. he had already become a full incumbus and had god like looks....which ladies would die for....he sighed once again as he remembered the first prince and second prince boasting on how they were going to make the first princess of the balum empire fall in love with them..he sighed and left everything for that time.....

Suddenly the throne room faded....and Rolan saw himself face to face with a male servant...who looked him over as if trying to see which injuries were present in rolan's body...this obviously made rolan pissed as his face turned cold..."Don't you have something to say...". he asked as he stared coldly at the servant" or are you trying to disrespect me."....uncounsciously releasing a terrifying pressure due to the mind of the sovereign .The servant dropped to his knees sweating prufously as he coughed out a mouthfull of blood...struggling to talk he stuttered " This lowly one wouldnt dare...he wouldnt dare...." .The pressure retracted "so what are u here for then.."

"The Emperor wants all his wives and children to be present during today's banquet as the first princess of balum empire has arrived and we are holding a banquet to celebrate her coming.." the servant stuttered...Rolan thought about it and realised that the emperess wanted to use this to humiliate him...and possibly to subdue him..he chuckled inwardly ..this will be fun ..he muttered..

Princess Ian sat on the bed provided for her by the emperess who was acting so kind and motherly to her immediately she arrived, she played along with the woman, knowing this was leading to scheme which would end in her marrying one of her sons....she sneered as if she was that dumb and naive ...she pretented naive outside actually but few people dared to cross her with her strength...she had inherited her reincarnations memories which enabled her to break through to energy governor rank....just as she broke through , the voice of her previous reincarnation suddenly spoke telling her the one she was fated to be with has awakened and was at the sidat empire...as her parents already knew of her secrets they prompted her to go quickly to the sidat empire and find the person...but the command they gave to the guards that followed her and to everyones knowledge was that....she was going on a holiday...as they were allies everyone believed this..except her parents...she sighed as she remembered the glances ..the princes were giving her as if she was a price to be won...she then stood up , checking out the cloth she wore as she put on a naive face before looking at the mirror provided to her...she then walked out the door to the banquet....in search of her fated one.....

Various nobles gathered drinking wine , most of them forming groups as they drank, chatted and slapped each other at the back.....few commoners could be seen loitering around the place..some lucky to get drinks gathered and disscussed with their fellows while they drank...Suddenly a loud trumpet was heard , as a stout looking man carrying a huge trumpet could be seen..he was dressed in violet...up and down...he strode proudly as he announced

"we welcome his highness emperor of the sidat empire his royal highness erudat and his lovely emperess Selia and the rest of his concubines" The herald said purposely ignoring introducing the concubines as the emperess had the most power over the other wives because the emperor clearly doted on her.....the emperess walked in proudly , head raised high as she strode to sit beside the emperor on a throne made for her...while the concubines sat on chairs arranged for them...far lower than the thrones of the emperor and emperess...some concubines frowned at this, some grumbled but some like mira kept quiet at this display as she knew the emperess was trying to make them subservient to her..she sighed then sat down as the third concubine..

"We announce the entrance of first prince Derek, second prince geoffery and the other princes and princesses" the herald said once more ignoring the others...Derek and Geoffery smirked as they walked in shoulder raised high to their seats..while the others could only walk behind them..Mila kept looking round as she discovered her brother wasnt here yet...as they sat down..her eyes and her mother's eyes met and they both wondered the same thing 'why was rolan not present yet.'
