Queen assassin?

"Are we there yet?" complied Drew. Lilith was getting quite irritated with her brother's annoyance and complicates. Just kill him already, it's not like anyone will care, spoke Alpha, its voice was also annoyed.

It's been three days since they left Brackenholme, it would have been a peaceful ride if her brother didn't complain. They were a few miles before they hit the civilization of Hugo, she planned on getting as much information on werebeasts and the Ivory Nexus. Her sleep has been none existent, her nightmare been affecting her sleep and sometimes during the day. She stopped, she could hear something moving like a wagon or was it part of her mind.

"I hear people," spoke Drew riding up to Lilith, he drew his bow out and ready an arrow. Lilith quietly got off her horse and went to the source of the sounds. "Just as I thought," Lilith hid inside of a tree as she saw a cabin that its outside was in red and gold. There was only one window but it was completely black to her view, there was only one person control the two black horses. She disappears into the leaves and went back to Drew.

"Well?" Drew asked a bit impatiently.

"Red and gold carrier," Lilith spoke. Drew's eyes widen as he knew those color that he became so familiar.

"The Lion is here," Drew said with fear in his voice. Lilith mounted back on her horse before she heard a swish near the tree bark she was mounted. It was a simple yet very sharp blade. She pulled the blade out and she could see her own reflection in it, and a figure directly behind her, ready to stab her throat out. She tossed the blade high in the air and quickly grabbed one of her kunai, she heard the figure swiftly move behind her but the figure didn't compensate for Lilith's swift reaction.

The figure froze in its place, hanging from a birch branch, knife in hand. Lilith's knife only inches away from the figure's throat. Lilith heard Drew pulling on her quiver, she knew that if she broke eye contact from their attacker, they would be in a disquiet situation.

Snap

The birch branch broke off and their attacker fell from their high place back into the hard ground, Lilith jumped off her horse and landed directly on top of their attacker, her blade edging closer just to get the sweet sensation of flesh. Drew came over, his quiver still drawn, stood behind Lilith.

"Who might you be?" Lilith asked the figure. No response. "Playing the quiet game I see, fun."

She slowly moved her blade closer to the figure's throat and making a small cut on the figure's throat. She continued until there was a scream from the figure, it was a high pitch voice and sounded like a female but it could have been a young boy. Lilith moved her blade away but still in reach of killing.

"Name," demanded Lilith.

"Summer, female, age sixteen," the young assassin revealed her personal info. Lilith smiled and moved her knife away, back in its sheath. She got off the young assassin, she pulled the girl back up to her feet. Drew slowly lowered his quiver and looked at the assassin that ambushed them.

"Get the ropes in case we need them" Lilith ordered, Drew nodded and quickly grabbed the ropes from his horse. When he came back, he saw Lilith holding the assassin's knife that failed to find its target, in front of the assassin's heart. Drew walked towards the frozen assassin and tied her wrists together.

"Where are you from Summer?" Lilith asked, lowering the knife.

" C-Cloven Crest" the young assassin hesitated. "I coming from Cloven to see some relatives."

"I think you're bluffing," Lilith said with a cocky voice, she wanted to purposely irritate the young assassin so she could see if the amateur would spill more secrets. Lilith met with the young assassin's eyes, dark blue like the deep sea and the tears of a crybaby, she was a bit disappointed to see what color the young assassin's hair was but all she did was just scoffed and moved her eyes to deep forest.

"I'm just thought you people might be bandits," the young assassin explained. Lilith sighed and moved away from the assassin. She had no intention of keeping the young girl from her relatives, besides if she is going to the settlement of Hugo then she could ask the girl where to go.

"Why are you letting me go?" the young assassin questioned. Lilith ignored the young assassin's question and handed back the blades that originated from the girl. Lilith walked into the deep forest leaving the two alone. Drew sighed with a small bit of annoyance, he approached the young girl and checked if there were any injuries besides the cut on her throat.

"Sorry about her," Drew apologized. "She much nicer, she just has a few problems."

"Is she always that rude?" Summer asked. "She should respect her superiors, especially if they are going to be a queen soon."

Drew pretended he wasn't shocked but he was astonished at how rude the young girl was. He didn't care if the young girl was gonna be a queen or some special person, she attacked them. Lilith had all right to defend them from the girl. "Some people just don't know where their loyalty lies," Drew thought to himself.

Lilith came back with a dead corpse of a boar. Drew could see that Lilith had just killed it with the extremely deep cut in its heart.

"Found us our lunch brother," Lilith spoke directly to Drew. "I'll start the fire, can you skin him?"

Drew nodded, as he took out a Seax knife. He walked over and started to skin the boar, Lilith once again disappeared into the deep forest. The young assassin just froze in place, she had no idea why these people were just letting her free but at the same time, she wanted to get revenge for the small cut on her throat. She silenced her breathing, she pulled out her blade and swiftly but silently was behind Drew's back within seconds. She raised her blade up and before she knew, she felt her hand releasing pressure and she could see her own blood dripping. When she looked up, she could see a silver kunai had struck her hand and caused immense about of pain and suffering. She screamed like a banshee, she fell to the ground, holding her right hand.

"Be quiet," spoke a voice that seemed to be right on top of Summer and before she could even look up, she lost consciousness.
