42 Chapter 28: Gone

Please send help.

I tried to telepathically communicate to Rei, but he ignored me, taking the rest of the luggage out of the carriage.

"I hope we can become closer friends now, Lady Ivory…" Emilia blushed shyly before closing the door onto her side of the dorm.

Ahaha…

"And the voting has settled that Lady Emilia will be the class president, with Lady Ivory as vice." The teacher finished counting the votes.

Unfortunate, the two different genders had been separated into different classes, so Luke, Rei and Easton were in another building.

"Ah… please take these forms to the office for me." The teacher continued, handing us stacks of paper, "Come back quickly, I will start our lesson as soon as you come back."

Emilia and I obediently took our stacks of paper and left the classroom, walking side by side towards the office.

I side eyed her; everything about her was the same in the otome game, her beautiful appearance, her voice and her elegance. However, many things about her had shifted; especially the fact that she was never supposed to become acquainted with Sardonna or run for class president.

What made her meet Sardonna when the difference of bother their status was large? Would it impact on her personality?

For now, I could only carefully watch her from a polite distance.

"I think this is the office." Emilia smiled cheerily, pointing to a room to her left.

She opened the door and waited patiently for me to enter first.

"Ah… thank you Lady Ivory and Lady Emilia." A man swathed in silks sat on an extremely detailed chair.

"Here's the documents." I placed the papers unto his glossy, wooden table.

"Ah… It's such a shame that my son already has a wife…" He sighed dramatically, "I'm sure he would be absolutely delighted to have a beautiful wife like you! And you it would improve your family's… financial situation."

"Don't be silly sir!" Emilia smiled gently, "I'm sure his wife loves him a lot. A loving wife would always be better than me."

"I guess that's true…" He yawned, obviously bored with the conversation, "Hurry off, girls."

Emilia:

That teacher always annoyed me until I was ready to crack his neck.

Always.

Always.

Always.

I managed to smile normally and leave the office, my fist clenching as I barely retrained myself to burst in and pummel the so-called 'teacher'.

That filth always found a way too worm his son into the conversation and insult my background. He even brought his son to meet me once. I had never seen a more disgusting pervert in my life. I dearly wished his wife would leave him in the dust and spit at that disgusting pervert and his father.

Alas, these were my daily daydreams. I doubted my other peers at this school had the same type of imagination as me.

I would just have to stay patient, smile, and keep my reputation stable. I would find a way.

Eventually.

Ivory:

I slightly felt some pity for Emilia.

With her status, she made an easy prey for many superior people.

"Cheer up." I awkwardly thumped her on the back, "Some people will downright do anything to make sure some people stay beneath them."

"Hmm..." Emilia tilted her head at the ceiling, "Really now?"

"If it really bothers you, then I can give you a hand with it." I shrugged before heading back towards the classroom.

It was lunch and I was sitting on a table with Luke and Easton. Rei was currently away doing something in the library.

I was staring out the window before I remembered something in the otome game. I immediately stood up and pelted off, despite Easton and Luke's surprise,

"What's up with her?" Easton squinted his eyes as I dashed off.

In the otome game, there was a route to find a forbidden shadow magic book! Even though it contained dangerous and evil spells, there were many useful spells to use safely. I rushed into the library and quickly searched for the last section and pushed a purple with gold threads book.

A hidden room opened, and I quickly entered. It was dark but, I randomly touched the walls in the small room to find the book.

Nothing.

My eyes eventually adjusted to the darkness but with a horrifying pang, I realised the book was nowhere to be seen.

Where was it?!
