41 Chapter 27: Towards the Academy!

At this moment, I felt an impending sense of doom.

We were going to the academy. The place where the villainess Ivory was condemned and banished.

We all wore our white uniforms, Luke's enchanted sword hung at his waist, clacking as he held out his hand for me to step onto the carriage.

My personal maid had scolded me tirelessly as soon as she noticed my dual daggers on my weapon belt. Thus, they were confiscated with much sadness and placed carefully inside my luggage. I watched outside my window as the servants and my parents waved tearfully goodbye, while my personal maid burst into tears, waving her handkerchief.

I wouldn't be seeing them for a while, I just hoped I would survive long enough to meet them again.

"You won't believe it!" Luke noticed my misery, trying to distract me, "At the All Boy's Academy we learned swordsmanship. Rei was pretty decent for someone who never used a sword before, but Easton was completely pathetic."

"Hey!" Easton complained tearfully, "It's not my fault I'm not a sword maniac like you!"

My heart felt heavy; for many reasons, but eventually, the gentle rocking of the carriage lulled me to sleep.

Error; unable to display name:

I fell into a deep sleep, the tendrils of darkness covering my vision as I revisited a daily nightmare. Memories of my childhood plagued my mind until finally I was jolted awake by a sharp knock on the carriage door.

The other three people didn't wake up, so I carefully hoisted myself out of the carriage, waving away the coachman's hand to assist me. I would quickly take a break before the others woke up. I unsheathed my sword and trained, my shadow mimicking me.

I flicked the spider off my arm and continued training arduously. One day, I would probably need to kill one of those people currently sleeping in the carriage.

IVORY:

"Wake up, Ivory." Luke tapped my arm gently, smiling kindly at me as I rubbed my eyes groggily.

"Oi you." Rei jabbed his elbow into Easton's gut, "Wake up, we arrived."

Easton made a gurgled scream before wiping the drool of his face,

"Huuh?" Easton mumbled, his vocal cords still sleepy, "Wha do yer want..."

"Let's go, Ivory." Luke grinned like a young puppy as he helped me out of the carriage, "We're finally here!"

Wow…

A building, just under the size of the Royal Palace loomed above us.

"The Academy…" I unconsciously muttered, awed by the sheer wonder I felt tingling in my blood.

"Guys…" Luke started edging away from us slowly, "I'm just going to quickly find my dorms…"

We watched him dart away, dragging his luggage with him as quick as possible. We stared after him in a few silent seconds of confusion before we heard a shrill screech,

"MY DARLING LUKEEEEE!" Sardonna chased behind him with unhuman speed, her body nearly a blur.

"See ya." Easton saluted Luke before lumbering off towards his dorms.

"Lady Sardonna!" A female voice exclaimed, Please don't run like that!"

I heard the swishing of a skirt and heels clacking against the stone path, I turned around, not expecting what I was going to see.

"Ah… Hello Lady Ivory, I didn't expect to see you so quickly." Emilia curtsied in a fluid, elegant movement, her glossy, blue locks trailing in the wind behind her.

Even the simple, white uniform looked completely radiant on her as students walked past her and gave her side looks of wonder.

Over the years, her cornflower eyes had only become prettier, blessed with long eyelashes and a kind, wistful appearance.

I didn't intend for Emilia, the heroine, to become acquainted with Sardonna; who helped the villainess with her malicious plans. It was to be expected that my meddling in this world would shift many of the original things in the otome game.

But I was too focused on my own route in the otome game, I would not bother with trivial things about Sardonna and Emilia unless they created something troublesome.

"Lady Ivory…" Emilia looked shy, her white skirt swaying with the wind, "Have you checked the paper form on the front of the school? We're sharing a dorm together! Isn't it wonderful?"

No.

Definitely not wonderful.
