20 18: The Tourney of Harrenhal Part 1

(The Eyrie, The Mountains of The Moon, The Vale of Arryn, The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, Westeros, GoT Universe)

---------------------------------

(Myranda Arryn POV)

---------------------------------

Rogar had a look in his eyes that said things were going to change and not necessarily for the better. The Marshaling of their Troops and increasingly heavy focus on building their forces proved this. Myranda watched from her window as her husband prepared to depart for Harrenhal with a Dozen Houses under his command and four times as many men and retainers.

He really had no desire to attend, but the invitation came directly from the Crown Prince. Rogar couldn't exactly afford to refuse. Rogar had proven a progressive Ruler, and the invitation came at a time when there was a lull in activity. Rogar was far from happy because he felt played. Myranda wanted to go, but he husband had none of it. She was to remain in the Vale as the Acting Warden of The East in his absence. She let him leave, but forced him to take her favor with him.

Rubbing her belly, Myranda felt slight dissatisfaction. Since discovering her pregnancy Rogar hadn't sexually satisfied her to the fullest. At the most she'd had his tongue inside her wet and silken folds and her mouth on his cock. But Rogar refused anything deeper.

It was rather sweet actually. Even if the Tongue of her husband inside her cunt was not half as satisfying as his large cock. It was HUGE, but somehow, Fit perfectly inside her. Still there was a tingling sense of anticipation to her body. Her husband promised to fuck her ass upon his return. Making Myranda's Wet Folds extremely wet.

Oh God's, she can't think about that or she's liable to commit infidelity....

---------------------------------

(POV Shift: Rogar Arryn)

---------------------------------

Rogar was riding with a weary look. He was equally nervous and frustrated. Prince Rhaegar sent an invitation to him personally asking him to attend Harrenhal's Tourney.

To say Rogar was pissed? That was an extremely undersold fact of the matter. Rogar had three reasons not to wish to attend.

Number one was obviously Myranda's pregnancy, his Wife was pregnant and Rogar didn't want to leave her side. Number two was the fact that Prince Rhaegar of all people so openly sent him this letter of invitation. Rogar had it altered to remove mention of his name in any shape or form and directed his Order of Artys to deliver it to Lord Varys. As for his third reason? Rogar had little desire to go anywhere near Harrenhal, Baelish said it best; Harrenhal is Cursed.

Of course, there was a left unsaid fourth reason....Ashara. His Daughters mother would be in attendance and he was nervous. Ashara hadn't spoken or written to him after Dya's Birth. His own attempts at correspondence were left unanswered, before he eventually just stopped entirely and sent back letters about Dyanna without the request of correspondence.

---------------------------------

(POV Shift: Joanna Lannister)

---------------------------------

Cersei was with child, and there was little doubt in Joanna's mind as to who the father was. Tywin would no doubt be displeased but there was a way to turn this to their advantage. Aerys was not far from being completely insane, and if the Prince were to suffer an accident alongside his son and his little brother then the Realm would need to convene to determine it's next monarch.

This plan would be heavily reliant on Swinging things towards a favorable position. But Rogar was extremely Popular, and his friendship with Prince Oberyn would allow him Dorne's support if his future son married Princess Rhaenys. With their backing and House Baratheon's? A near bloodless coup could occur. And Tywin didn't need to know until after the job had been done.

It was unfortunate to have to do away with the young Aegon but The Realm was sick of House Targaryen to the bone.

---------------------------------

(POV Shift: Jon Connington)

---------------------------------

Jon had never particularly liked Rogar Arryn, he respected the boy sure, but the boy rubbed him wrong. He looked at Rhaegar, at Aerys, as if they were crap on his boots. Aerys was one thing, but Jon wouldn't stand for such disrespect to his Beloved Prince.

Jon would ask him to apologize, and if he didn't he would need to be humbled.....by loss and luckily there were options.

Wife, Children, or Father? The only major question? Who?

Rhaegar would know who, failing that Ser Arthur would given their prior relationship, though that very relationship could prove troublesome if his fondness for his former Squire outweighed his loyalty to Rhaegar. Jon doubted it would be a problem as Ser Arthur was not a fool and only a fool would choose a little Lord over Rhaegar. The very idea was simply unbelievable to start with an outrageous insult if it were even half true.
