14 13: Arise Rogar Arryn, A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms Part 1

''Kneel, Rogar Arryn. In the name of the Warrior I charge you to be brave. In the name of the Father I charge you to be just. In the name of the Mother I charge you to defend the young and innocent. In the name of the Maid I charge you to protect all women.... Arise, Rogar Arryn, A knight of the Seven Kingdoms.'' Those words uttered by Ser Arthur were something Rogar had been waiting to gear his whole life.
Casting a side glance at the men who he slew, Rogar wasn't remorseful. He'd done his job, and was Knighted for it. He'd killed Fletcher Dick, Oswyn Longneck the Thrice-Hanged, and Big Belly Ben before engaging Simon Toyne with Ser Barristan Selmy. By the end of their Clash, Ulmer, Toyne, and Wenda White Fawn were the only survivors.
He'd taken Wenda into his service after besting her, making her a Sworn Sword in his Service. It was a controversial decision, but she now had protection and a Promise of Land, as did Toyne. He'd extended the offer of Land, Safety, and Power in exchange for fealty. After having bested both of them, and of course they'd obviously accepted.
He would Make Wenda the Head of House Whitefawn, whose Seat would become The Bloody Gate, with Stewardship over the Waycastle's Stone, Snow, and Sky, as a Landed Knightly Family directly in the Service of The Arryn Family. He'd arrange a Husband for her, one who wasn't too troublesome. The Bloody Gate would be expended, with the Hills surrounding the road forward having Towers and Walls built on them, turn the whole area into a Kill-Zone if necessary.
As for Simon Toyne, He'd have a Castle raised for the reborn Toyne Family, he would become a Vassal Lord of Nestor Royce as soon as He was Raised to Lord-Keeper of The Gates of The Moon.
It wasn't gonna be too difficult to convince King Aerys to sign the documents. Rogar had become a confidant to the King. Strangely King Aerys trust in him allowed him to raise ''concerns'' that Tywin was influencing him, thus Aerys came to speak often when he suspected something, and Rogar while he would caution the King did so in a manner that appealed to King Aerys Self-consciousness of escaping Tywin's Shadow.
Looking Back at how this Engagement began, Rogar was pleased most of it went to plan, but then again not all of it....

(Rewind: One Month Earlier)

Rogar rode with The Kingsguard and Jaime Lannister, with them rode Houses Crakehall, Frey, and Arryn.
Merrett Frey was shifting uncomfortably in his saddle as a result of Wenda The White Fawn branding him on his arse. Lord Sumner and his sons Roland and Burton were with them as well, seeing as how Merrett was his ward, Sumner and sons had to be here, and as for the Arryn forces, Ser Vardis Egen and Young Albar Royce were here as part of his own personal guard.
He'd hidden Ashara away and was preparing to return home at a moments notice. He worded it as both his father's desire to have him at home, and Rogar's own desire to see his home again.
This would be the time before the very battle in which he earned his Knighthood. Rogar wanted to offer the Brotherhood an opportunity to become Landed Knights, Except for Toyne and Ulmer. Toyne would become a Vassal Lord of House Arryn before being transferred to Nestor Royce as soon as Rogar raised him to A Landed Lord in his own right.
As for Ulmer he was still destined for the Nights Watch, since it was probably better not to mess with the Nights Watch so early in what precious little remains of Canon.
This Engagement will last at least a month, which coincidentally would be happening around roughly the same time as Ashara was supposed to be going into Labor.
Rogar was glad that he'd been able to secret Her away, especially after having that discussion with Hoster Tully and managing to secure Lysa for Lyonel Corbray. It hadn't been easy talking Tully down, but He'd done it, and earned himself the valuable recognition of a Sly Stratagem from his father. The move Brought status to both families and provided House Corbray with a Significant Dowry that Rogar subtly implied could be put towards developing the Shoreline into a Port for a future Trade League.
Rogar intended to forge links directly to Braavos, Pentos, Myr, and Qohor. This would ensure that he had imports to bring in when he launched his modern Alcohols and other precious modern resources, this would culminate in a Bank headquartered in Gulltown with Branches in White Harbor, Old Town, King's Landing, and Sunspear or Starfall.
Rogar was hoping to eventually open branches in Pentos, Myr, Tyrosh, and Mereen.
But Rogar Digresses...
Looking forward Rogar knew that this would very likely be the biggest and most defining event of his as of now still young life yet....
