47 Raven VS Li Zhong

" You are strong ! " Li Zhong commented with a smile as he sent an air slash towards Raven .

The effortless attack was actually quite powerful as an average mid level Core Formation cultivator cannot hope to even keep up with its speed much less deflect it.

But Raven was different as he could see it clearly . He sent his Flame slash and both attacks cancelled out each other after clashing in mid air .

" You are strong too " Raven also commented and sent ten consecutive one meter long flame slashes towards Li . He had used the Hundred Flame Cleave skill.

Even though the attack was fast and had wide range but Li negated it effortlessly by timing it with his own ten slashes .

After the bang sound both of them still stood on the same place but had serious looks on their faces . They both ignored the gasps from the crowd and decided to completely focus on the opponent .

After clashing with their sword skills briefly, they both decided to test their movement speed and dashed off at the same time .

Li looked like he was running fast while Raven looked like he was walking gracefully on water. Still Raven was an instant faster and sent ten slashes once again which were blocked by Li in time but he was forced to take five steps back .

Raven did not want to let the chance go but Li was cautious and sent a powerful slash covered with white light . The attack was more than ten times faster and powerful than previous ones and Raven had no choice but to take it seriously .

He had no time to counter with his own full power attack because it would little less than a second to charge the attack but Li's slash would have already struck him by that time .

So Raven decided to evade the attack instead. Raven's senses have been trained to the extreme through thousands of battles and he had face a leopard once whose tackle speed was even faster than this attack . Thus Raven easily dodged the attack by jumping into the air but he had jumped forward thus advanced towards Li at the same time .

He had been charging his full power flame slash and sent it towards Li who was only few meters away from Raven . But Li was also an expert as he dodged half the attack in time and the other half was deflected by his own sword strike.

Raven started sweating a little because he was facing pressure after a long time while battling someone . Li's attacks were stronger than him but Raven's speed was litte faster . So in the end Li was at advantage because he could easily double the power behind his attacks by using sword qi anytime.

' Looks like I have no choice but to use that trick .. ' Raven thought and suddenly some flame energy started surrounding him but all of it came from the air.

Soon he was enveloped in a small Flame domain which was only one meter around him Earth realm cultivators have the skill domain because they have better connection with their element energy in the environment. But Raven cultivated pure Flames and even Heaven Rank art thus his understanding of flames could already allow him to use a small element domain.

The reach was short so the domain essentially had no attacking powers but it could help him deflect and defend some of Li's attacks which was more than enough to cancel Li's advantage over him .

" Holy shit ! Germa bro... how the hell did that brat comprehended Domain while being at Core realm ? Such a monster .. " Bhavani could not help but comment as he was truly astonished by Raven's talent.

Germa did not reply though as he was too busy watching the battle of his disciple carefully. But he was also feeling bitter inside because he knew that except a little about Formatins , he had not taught Raven about anything. He was the master but his level was not enough to teach a monster talent like Raven who worked hard too ..

Li was also astonished so he paused his attacks for a second . But soon he composed himself and suddenly his sword was enveloped in milky white light . Raven frowned because he could feel the power of Sword qi from afar. Raven felt glad that he chose to use Domain beforehand because the sword qi was really a fine destructive power.

Li sent more than ten slashes at once and all were concentrated on Raven while being enchanced by sword qi . He still did not stop and continued to send attacks non stop while Raven also defend some of them with his domain and others were deflected with his own sword . The exchange continued for more than four hundred attacks at once and finally Li had no choice to take a break because he was physically getting exhausted and his energy was almost fully depleted.

Raven was in no better shape either because he had some cuts on his waist and face despite the fact that his domain was still standing . Raven did not rest but smiled because his chance had finally come ..

HEAVENLY FLAME FINGER...

Raven only pointed a finger towards the heavens and his domain dissapeared. Soon a huge fiery red more than thirty meters long Flame finger descended from the sky and rushed towards Li . Li tried to dodge but was helpless because he would still face the attack be cause its scale was too large and even the whole platform was small compared to it .

Li sent a huge more than ten meter long sword beam towards the finger in the sky . The finger and the beam collided but it only stopped for a while before the finger once again descended but this time its size and heat was more than seventy percent less than before. Li's final attack pact some good force but alas it was not enough .

Li finally became both mentally and politically exhausted so fainted on the spot . Raven shook his head and dispelled the huge finger easily while proceeding to sit cross legged on the platform and steadying his heavy breathing .

The announcement came but Raven did not smile as he was tired mentally because he used good amount of Divine Sense to maintain the Heavenly Flame Finger before..
