1 Battle.

"HEEEYAAARGH!!"

Obsidious's broadsword slammed into the barren, charred earth, cracking the ground and sending tremors into the loose, shredded soil as the battle raged on around him, sending several enemy soldiers into the air and an unlucky few pulverized into a puddle of gore, blood, and mangled organs as the pure power of the shockwave broke their bodies on a molecular level.

The sky had gone grey with smoke and ash, the suns of this solar system lending them it sickly, jaundiced tint as their light attempted to penetrate the dark, gloomy clouds that lent the battle its grim, despairing atmosphere.

This battle had now lasted for 3 days, but yet again, the lust for destruction had overcome Obsidious once again, and he was now hellbent on wiping every trace of this army off the face of their planet.

He felt a sudden force against his back, causing him to stumble forward. He spun around with the elegance of a ballerina but with the force of an elephant, swinging his sword blindly into whoever had dared insult him purely by having the audacity to attack him, his mighty blade ramming through armor and flesh and easily shattering the spine of the unfortunate enemy soldier.

Obsidious inhaled the smell of death and ash, and let out a deep, ferocious laugh that bellowed across the battlefield. However, he hadn't indulged in his moment of chaos for long before a massive ROAR resounded not across, but UNDER the battlefield.

The ground began to shake violently, and the scarred land exploded with a massive, clawed hand clambering out of the bowels of the earth, and then another.

A gigantic beast, with four horns at each corner of its front profile, massive spines down its back and thick, red scales covering its body emerged. A true beast from hell, it released a fearsome noise from its gaping maw that could barely be described as a roar, but more hell itself thrown into one, destructive, furious sound as both enemy and ally were thrown across the battlefield by the soundwave, Obsidious himself barely holding his ground by slamming his blade into the ground.

He could see this battle would not be one that could be one as normal. He spoke to the AI of his suit, confirmed his command, and smirked as the deep red flowing through his armor intensified.

He felt an enormous surge of energy and sprinted headfirst towards the demonic creature as it was gouging chunks out of the earth, the blood of the brutally murdered lost under the showers of boulders and dirt. He jumped into the air, stabbing the blade of his sword into the thick armor of the beast, climbing upwards as one would climb a cliff face.

The beast bucked, throwing Obsidious over a thousand feet down to the ground as he crashed into the earth, throwing up soil and stones. He got up and groaned. "This fucking asshole..."

He checked the timer on his HUD. Only another hour before he went berserk.

Going berserk was not desirable in the least. The last time it had happened, Obsidious had killed several of his best allies and barely escaped his execution.

He leaped again, grabbing one of the beasts huge horns and jumping down to its eye, where he blinded it with a flash of black and red, lightning-like energy as the mauled flesh flowed down its face.

The beast roared in sheer pain, lurching back and throwing Obsidious into the air yet again- this time, he only just managed to stab into the skin of the beast, drawing a massive ragged slash down its side with his weight as its blue blood gushed from the wound.

He used the cracks between the enormous scales of the beast to climb upwards, using his blade for extra leverage every so often.

Finally, reaching the back of its neck, with a scream of triumph, he pushed his sword through armor, muscle, skin, flesh and its bones, killing the monster almost instantly as the planet trembled with the weight of the mountainous being as it crashed to the floor, dead.

Obsidious heaved his shoulders with his breaths, the effort having been of insane proportions. He sensed his armor sending him into a rage and deactivated his suit's capabilities just in time. He climbed down the dead face of the beast, still warm with the blood flowing through it.

He clambered down to one of the beasts lower horns, grunting with the effort as he used his broadsword to shear off the tip of the horn of the beast, still enormous in his hands as he hefted it over his shoulder. As a second thought, he cut out one of the massive scales to take to his replicator ships for the armor of his soldiers. Any beast that survived that far down in the core of a planet must have had insane heat resistance.

Obsidious leaped down to the floor, his army staring at him in earnest. He allowed a moment for all the attention to gravitate towards him as he let out a magnificent victory cry, his soldiers acting in kind. This was their cue to loot, pillage, and take their spoils of war.

Obsidious sent the message up to his flagship as it beamed him back up. He smirked with the satisfaction of yet another victory and rode the euphoria of fighting such a worthy opponent.

Removing his armor down to the clothes he was wearing, mounting it on his stand in his grand personal quarters, he went to take a shower and indulge in the cool water as it slid down his skin.

Though he was a Titan, he was still subject to the irritations of sweat and heat, despite it having a much less adverse effect on him than most of his other soldiers.

Wrapping himself in his robe, he steam cleaned his armor and dressed, now again in his fearsome suit, with the massive spikes emerging from his back, the clunky shoulder plating, the terrifying, horned helmet with its sharp edges, the defined chestplate with those lines of cyan and purple running through it.

He had his armor specially designed to strike fear into the souls of his opponents, but also to be practical, to ensure those beneath him wouldn't have to gaze upon his presence for too long to be able to retain the image of his glory in their minds.

He looked down upon the planet with his telescope. The combination of his technology and excellent eyesight allowed him to view in detail, and he could see ships being loaded to the brim with all sorts of valuables from the main fortresses of the civilization that had once ruled and chuckled in satisfaction at the sounds of the yelling and bickering coming from the bay of his own ship as the best things were loaded into his cargo bay to be sorted out, some to be displayed, some to be used and some to be sold.

The past few days had been an onslaught, but that beast had been the only real challenge. His mind wandered to his scientists, running tests on the material of the small segments of the beast he had hauled back with him. Those would be excellent for new armor designs.

He retired to his throne room, resting on his large, extravagant chair crafted solely of black stone and crystal, with deep reds and oranges glowing within whenever he sat down.

Suddenly, one of his lieutenants, Lt.Abarsut, entered his chamber.

"You dare to interrupt my thoughts, Abarsut?? I should have you expelled from the airlock. GUARDS!" He thundered, rising from his chair and grabbing his broadsword from its sheath in the chair.

"M-My liege! I can explain!" Abarsut cried, terrified for his life.

"Very well. Speak." said Obsidious, remaining stood, but waving a hand to his guards to hold back.

"My liege...it's- it's Hyperium. He requested to dock at your ship in his imperial shuttle. You requested we interrupt you at any time in any matters regarding that royalist sack of shit."

"Very well Abarsut. Thank you. I shall see that you are rewarded for your loyalty. But in the meantime, allow him to dock. Send three shock force escorts and bring him to me."

"My liege, I-" Abarsut stammered.

"You have your orders. Would you like to taste my blade rather than follow them?" He spun his sword menacingly, the blade swishing through the air.

Abarsut sprinted out of the room to enact the orders of his leader. Obsidious sat back in his throne. The time had come.

It was time for the universe to choose one, and only one, victor.
