19 Chapter 19: Falling Apart

Arroth couldn’t understand why, but he started running away from where Lilian was. His body felt wrong and everything just felt overwhelming for him. Lilian had everything under control, her voice was enough to turn everything around, but it wasn’t enough to make Arroth felt any better.

He ran as far as he can, far far away from anyone. He needed to find his brother, he needed someone to be by his side right now… but maybe he needed to be alone.

He stopped next to a high tree. He slammed his head until they bled, then kneeled, and let everything just dawn on him.

“You want some ice cream?” A cold wind blew by the tree, making the leaves dance in a single Unison tone. The sky turned a dark shade of purple, and on Arroth's neck was a glowing pendant.

The voice was familiar, it made his skin crawl, and his eyes flash a deadly shade of red. Arroth turned his head and glared at Dayan, brandishing his claws, ready to attack. "You!" He unsheathed his swords and darted towards Dayan.
