16 If The Sky Fell

It was almost midnight when Feng Xi and Prince Jin made it to the hotel. They walked in to find no one around except the hotel staff. Feng Xi let out a sigh of relief since this meant at least tonight there would be no issues. "Prince..."

"Hmmm?" Prince Jin hummed as he looked at Feng Xi with a smile on his face.

Feng Xi on the other hand gave him a dirty looked and said: "Jin'er I will get you the best room I can. I can not have a prince in a room that is too shabby."

Prince Jin shook his head and said: "It's fine even if it's the cheapest room. It is my fault for not taking my wallet with me in the first place."

'So you do know some restraint!' Feng Xi thought. "Then I will get you the same kind of room I am getting."

"Guests, we also have a double room that has two bedrooms. I can give you a cheap deal on that." The hotel receptionist butted into Feng Xi's and Prince Jin's conversation. She had a feeling that the two were maybe a couple with how they interacted with each other. She had completely ignored Ru'er presence. She could only stand to the side and draw circles on the floor with her toe.

"No, it's fin..."

"We will take it!" Prince Jin cut Feng Xi off before she could say no. Feng Xi was completely dumbfounded! Did prince Jin realize that a male and female living under the same room was not good!? If people found out she would have no reputation left!

"Prince Jin, I do not think that would be such a good idea. If people found out I would not have any reputation left!" Feng Xi said, her voice almost pleading with him.

"If anyone dares to say anything about my Xi'er, I will just kill them. Do they still dare to talk about you? Xi'er, remember one thing you are mine. As my girl, I will protect you. Allow me to show my worth so that you will finally fall in love with me." Prince Jin suddenly declared at the same time a large group of academy students walked in and heard what he had said. All eyes turned and focused on Feng Xi who was standing there stupefied not sure of what to say or do.

"Who is yours!?" Feng Xi yelled! Why was this man so intent on her being his!

"It's only a matter of time before you fall in love with me."

"Then the room?" The receptionist asked, once again butting into their little love quarrel. You could tell she was trying to move things along.

Feng Xi sighed and held her forehead. She did not know if this man was doing this for fun or not. But so far he had been upfront with her in everything he said. Deciding to at least give him her trust she made a decision. "Prince Jin I will be counting on you then. If the sky is about to fall on top of me I hope you will be there to hold it up."

"Who is this Prince Jin?" Prince Jin looked a Feng Xi with questioning eyes.

Hearing Prince Jin's question made Feng Xi want to scream! She was so angry, she gritted her teeth, stomped her feet, and yelled: "Jin'er, Jin'er, Jin'er! Are you happy now!?"

"Mmmm! Then this prince will go handle some business then. I will make sure Xi'er has a good life in the academy." After saying his words he walked over to the group of students who all stood stock still afraid to move in Prince Jin's presence. His face showed a bright smile but his eyes showed a clear killing intent that made these young teens shiver in fear.

Feng Xi paid for their room but did not leave right away since the room was for both her and Prince Jin, it was not right to leave him behind. She stood there and watched as Prince Jin had roughly thirty students who were standing in the hotel lobby all kneeling down before him. This scene made Feng Xi praise the imperial power one look was enough to make people kneel. But she also wondered why he was going so far for her. He could not be doing this just because of her words, right? Was he not just toying around with her because he was bored and found her interesting?

Prince Jin, on the other hand, glared at all the students and even the new ones who came in were forced to come up and kneel. " I will say this once and only once, so make sure you pass it on to everyone else. If a single one of you bothers my Xi'er in any way, Not only will you die a horrible death but I will make sure your whole family follows along with you. Do you all understand?"

"Yes, Prince Jin!" Every one of the students knew better than to go against Prince Jin. So not a single one put up a word of protest. This did not mean that there were not some who would turn a hateful glance towards Feng Xi. But unfortunately, these people did not seem to know that Prince Jin was very observant. "You, you, and you." Prince Jin's eyes seemed to go completely black as a murderous intent spilled from his body.

Prince Jin did not know what was wrong with these people. Did he not just make himself clear? Did they think just because they tried to be sneaky that he would not notice? This was the first time he had ever been so enraged! "What did I just say!?"

Prince Jin's whole face turned red with anger. His fist clenched up as he began marching straight towards the nearest person who had glanced at FengXi. Each and every student in his path quickly moved as fast as they could to get out of his way. The first person he reached was a young girl of around fifteen years of age. She yelled out in fright as Prince Jin grabbed the girl by the cuff of her dress and lifted her into the air.

"Did I not just say to not brother my Xi'er!?" Prince Jin pulled his free hand back that was balled into a fist. Seeing this the girl in his grasp eyes widened in fear.

"Prince Jin! Please spare me! I know I did wrong! It is just that I have loved you for so... muph!" The girl was not able to finish her sentence as Prince Jin smashed his fist into her mouth.

"You love me? You are not allowed to love me! The only one who is allowed to love me is My Xi'er!" He raised his fist again and was about to throw another punch at the girl's head when he suddenly felt a soft hand grab ahold of his wrist.

"Jin'er, she only glared at me! Why are you going to such an extreme!?" Feng Xi yelled. As she pulled Prince Jin away from the girl.

"Did you not ask me to hold up the sky for you if it fell? I am making sure the sky never has a chance to fall! I will not allow those who have intentions of scheming in the shadows to harm you!"
