24 Shen Xue's Birthday Party- Part 1

Qian Mei was scrutinizing every inch of Song Xia's face.A liquid wing-eye eyeliner. Hmm, gold eyeshadow, of course! But which shade?Definitely not, a bight yellowish gold that would look unseemly.The Nadia O'Brein palette had a shade called Sweetheart Blush that was a light rose-gold. That acting as a base blended with the True Gold shade -a slightly darker glittery gold eyeshadow would be perfect for her.Some mascara to make her eyelashes fuller , a bit of blush and a classic red lip. Then voala , perfection!

Once she was satisfied with Song Xia she moved onto Jin Yu who already had her hair done in a croissant bun. The fake pink pearl hairpins that Teng Bai used made the hairstyle delicate and lovely.

Since ,Jin Yu's dress was pink and silver , in order to compliment the dress she settled on a glittery pink eyeshadow. A glossy lipstick that was a cross between bubblegum and blush pink.

It was 4:45 pm. when they were done and Qian Mei was exhausted. Luckily her husband should pick her up soon for their trip soon and she could nap in the car.

"Well, girls my work here is done. I wish I could go to the party! Have enough fun for me!Why did my husband have to plan the holiday this weekend?Remember, to advertise for us when people ask who made you'll so stunning !"Qian Mei said while she rubbed her aching back.

"Girls, have fun !" Teng Bai smiled while his familiar mischievous smile.

"Thank you, Aunt Mei and Uncle Bai." They said in unison.

At Shi Qi's apartment Song Xia and Jin Yu stood against the living room wall.

"Wow!Jin Yu and Song Xia,you two princesses looking absolutely amazing." Shi Qi gushed and Shi Chen took photograph after photograph.

Wearing a pink and silver flower ball gown with 5cm heels Jin Yu could easily compete with television idols .

If Jin Yu was a delicate beauty then Song Xia was a noticeable beauty. Elegant, tall and proud. A goddess .

A waterfall braided hairstyle with wavy hair . The only accessories she wore were a gold bracelet and a golden clip in her hair.

" Mom,Aunt we're going to be late!Let's go." Jin Yu said looking at the time. The party started at 7 p.m. and it was already 6:30 p.m.The two sisters decided to drop off the two girls then have dinner at a nearby restaurant."

The Shen Family Property was massive about 1500 square meters . With 8 bedroom, a large garden, indoor swimming pool and tennis courts.

They arrived at the Shen House's banquet hall just before 7 p.m.The guests had already arrived ;drinking champagne and talking while music played in the background.

The environment in front of Jin Yu was totally unfamiliar. She clung to Song Xia's hand,"Xiao Xia, I'm nervous. This is a bit different from what I pictured."

Song Xia was also a bit unsettled. Most of the guests where high profile celebrities, politicians and businessmen. There were a handful of teenagers wearing masks sprinkled among the guests here and there.

"Young guests , please remember to wear your masks when you walk in."The butler at the door reminded them.

Song Xia wore a gold and white Venetian mask that fit over her forehead and eyes . This gave her an aura of mystery and made her eyes look a striking gold.Once ,Jin Yu placed her butterfly mask on face Song Xia held her hand.

"Let's go together!It's like being in a movie and nobody will know who we are. At least for now."

The minute they entered , many gazes came their way. The young men were attracted to then and tried to guess their identity through the masks . Some young women looked at them with admiration while others with jealousy.

"Wow, so gorgeous!I call dips on the one in gold!" Spoke one enthusiastic male guest.

"Haha... that is such a joke?Are you even tall enough to reach her shoulders?" Teased his friend before he groaning when the shorter guy punched his shoulder.

"Is that Yuan Nuan in pink? I adore her hairstyle!"

A girl whispered to her the friend next to her."No ,I think Miss Yuan is still in Italy ."

With Song Xia's enhanced hearing she heard the fervent whispers about them but ignored them.

" I'm telling you ,they definitely had plastic surgery! They just wanted attention from boys otherwise why would they dress like that!"

Song Xia furrowed her eyebrows in frustration and sighed. She recognized that voice. It was Liu Ting.

It was ironic that she had a problem with how Jin Yu and Song Xia where dressed while she was weary a mid- thigh and deep V- neck dress .Their dresses where positively modest when compared to hers.Did any of Liu Ting cronies bother to point that out ? No, they just blindly agreed with her and shot Song Xia and Jin Yu identical sneers.

Song Xia and Jin Yu blatantly ignored them and walked to the refreshment table to get something to drink.They both chose to drink some fruit bunch as they were underage and couldn't drink champagne.

"Lovely lady, would you like a glass of champagne."Ye Dong's hand was on Jin Yu's wrist. Jin Yu was startled and tried to pull her wrist away from him but he wouldn't let go.

" No, I'm fine! I don't want champagne!" Jin Yu said starting to feel frightened. Song Xia and her weren't the only ones by the refreshment table but nobody bothered to help them.

"Let go." Jin Yu said as she quivered like a leaf.

" Ye Dong, let go of her! Let go ! NOW!" Song Xia was furious and would have given Ye Dong the beating of his life if they weren't in public. She didn't want to ruin Shen Xue's party.

The menace in Song Xia's voice alarmed him into letting go of Jin Yu before he realized she was just a girl. What could a slender, albeit tall ,girl do to a man his size?

" Beautiful girl, do know me? Do we have some sort of misunderstanding? I was just being friendly ?"He just hoped she wasn't some rich young Miss or he might have encounter problems.

Song Xia removed her mask and locked eyes with him. Gold, hard and determined eyes stared him down.

"When, a lady says no . She means no! When a girl says let go .Let go! There is no such thing as being 'friendly'. How dare you touch someone without their permission?"

Her words were stamped and branded on every girls' heart in their surroundings and someone began to clap.
