55 Mei Li’s Grand Opening(1)

Master Dai was a renowned Feng Shui Master that had been specially invited by Old Madame Tao.

In recent years the elusive master traveled the world in silence. Two weeks ago he suddenly appeared in G City and happened to visit Tao Xioawen's Grandmother who is an old friend. While casually talking she mentioned her grand- daughter -in law was opening her first store and Master Dai had strangely agreed to attended the opening ceremony. Tao Xiaowen was surprised but thrilled that they were so lucky. He thought it was a bit strange for such a master to attended the opening of a small store but after all Masters have eccentric manners of thinking which mere mortals couldn't understand

Master Dai wore a white and light green Tang suit and had a set set of Buddhist prayer beads on his left wrist. His hair had already turned white but he still walked easily despite being in his eighties. His whole aura was one of serenity and eyes free of worldly attachment.

" Master Dai, thank you for your presence . With your insight I'm sure that there will only be luck and prosperity."

Tao Xiowen spoke auspicious is words while at his wife's side as they welcomed the Feng Shui master.

Master Dai entered the store and politely greeted the people.

"Amitabha"

He had a premonition last night that he would meet an interesting soul today. Instinctively, he packed the Fox jade amulet that has been with him for more than 6 decades years.

He had had the opportunity many years ago as an adventurous young man to visit the Mystic Crescent Isle where monk from Bai Huli clan handed him this amulet.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Qian Mei and her husband .Afterwards a toast was held by Master Teng who flirtatiously glanced at Shi Qi in her gold and black dress.

There was a stage placed in the waiting room with rows of chairs in waiting room.

Yan Yue , Qian Mei 's apprentice , welcomed the patrons to the new store enthusiastically.This being a new high end store had specifically invited upper class families in G City. Majority of whom eagerly attended.

" Welcome, to Mei Li ! On behalf of the owners and staff please enjoy the performance this evening and please talk your time browsing our store."

The most sought out prize for today's opening ceremony was a total makeover by Mei Li. This was a prize given out by the unassuming 50 Th customer.

Imagine having your haircut by the oh-so-famous Master Bai! Shi Qi and Qian Mei were less known but with such a high-end store they wouldn't be bad.

Most of the guests were woman and girls from East and West areas of G City. Wealthy madams and rich daughters who were eager to swipe their husbands and fathers cards. Many people also wanted to use this opportunity to network as well as form a good impression on Master Xiaowen 's beloved wife.

However, they were also important figures in G City who attended who need not flatter anyone.Like Madam Bai, the Mayor's Wife and Madam Shen who was Shen Group's Chairmen's Wife.

These women had come for the sake of their daughters and shopping. Bai Luli had now become Song Xia's die hard fan after she helped enlighten her. Since she felt a bit shy to directly thank her she had unconsciously been paying attention to her. Song Xia was smart,kind but unapologetically lived life on her own terms.

Bai Luli also really liked Song Xia 's clothes and hairstyles so she decided to ask her mother to come to the store opening after she had overhead a conversation betweenSong Xia, Shen Xue and Jin Yu .

If possible she would like to be friends with Song Xia and by attending the opening she would have an accidental encounter with her.

Shen Xue practically bounced over to Song Xia with a women in an brown silk blouse and elegant white suit .

" Xiao Xia " Shen Xue embraced Song Xia warmly .

" Aunt Gao, Xue Er, it's so nice to see you. Thank you for coming."

Gao Yanyu smiled at Song Xia. This girl was so poised and mature unlike her crazy little girl. However, she was so grateful to Song Xia for saving her princess as well as being a good friend who brought her genuine joy.

She came to show support to Jin Yu and Song Xia whom were her daughters good friends.

" Xiao Xia, how have you been? Of course ,Aunt had to come to see all the new merchandise! Xue Er , begged for her father's platinum card and succeeded . My daughter would have driven me crazy if we didn't come!"

" Mum! Don't pretend! Who doesn't know that I inherited my shopaholic genes from you!"

Shen Xue pouted at being teased.

Jin Yu and Shen Xue had actually gone to participate in a raffle event while Song Xia who was exhausted from dealing with so many guests decided to take a break.

Song Xia had a dull headache from the interacting with so many people and after checking that there wasn't anything needed to be done she decided to escape to the garden. It was still cool outside but not freezing this week. A warmer period that felt more like autumn that winter.

Looking out the the door she noticed that Master Dai was sitting on the bench swing alone. The old man was sitting just looking at the bare trees as twilight approached.

Song Xia felt a twinge if sadness as she remembered her grandmother from her original world. She too liked to sit outside during the afternoon and watch the setting sun.

A slight ache in her eyes disturbed her reminiscing and a bluish glow or aura around Master Dai before it disappeared.

Now , Song Xia was curious. Do people have Spiritual Energy? She swear she could hear a cute voice calling to her...

' Sovereign'

" Child, please take a seat."

Master Dai's gentle and wise voice sounded .

' How did Master Dai even notice me?'

Song Xia wondered as she unconsciously took a few steps closer before sitting on a chair to the right of the swing.
