1 New body new me

When I woke up to a free fall I immediately panicked. I mean who wouldn't. One moment your sleeping peacefully in your pókemon pajamas, the next your free-falling from a what seemed to be an unfolded box of white. I was plummeting at a very fast rate, and my usual calmness was very hard to muster at the moment. Not long after I got my awareness that I'm falling, that I fell through a cloud and lo and behold, I'm met with a carpet of green. A forest. Great.

As the inviting green canopy got closer and closer, I let out a scream and then proceeded to hit my entire body on numerous branches before hitting the ground. Then I passed out.

When I woke, It didn't take me long to remember what had happened and I immediately was put on guard. This time the calm I usually had come back, which made things much easier to process.

"Where am I?" I questioned as I looked around. I seemed to be in a jungle, but something was off. For one there was a strange glowing blue plant next to me, and I had just fell from an impossible height. "What the hell? Did I die?" I unconsciously said out loud.

{signs if foreign life detected.} a mechanical voice rang out in my ear. I snapped around, looking for the source of the voice. "who said that! Where are you? Show yourself!"

I shouted but my answer was:

Wait, what does this thing mean by assimilating. That didn't sound good. I mean, so far nothing has been good and I sure as hell don't like the way whatever the hell that was said 'assimilating.' So I did what any 19 year old girl would do. I got up, and dashed in a random direction. Not like that helped.

Experimental? Monster?! Excuse me mister robot, I am a human not a monster. In fact I've been called beautiful by many men thank you. Not that it mattered as most died shortly after. But that's not the point. Whatever this thing was seemed to be following me so I came to the conclusion that running was not helping. I came to a stop in a small clearing illuminated by the meagre amount of moonlight that shone through. Under different circumstances, this would've been a picturesque scene. Sadly I count see anything due to the black screen that appeared in my line of sight. It was nothing special, really just a black screen with a red pulsing dot in the middle. The creppy part however was that I could see it when I closed my eyes. The dot pulsed. {detecting foreign memories in subject. Processing. Processing. Processed. Prooceding to more familiar term.}

"Wait what! Did this thing just read my mind? That's kinda creepy robot voice thing. What the hell even are you?" I asked angrily.
