Chapter 6: The Phone

*Mother reaches the hall, just to find an audio file being played on her daughter's phone placed in Gini's bag. Mother takes the bag and heads to daughter's room, where she finds her daughter crying in her bestfriend's arms.*

" Back off Gini. Stay away from my daughter."

"Mum. Why are you talking to Gini this way?"

" What is all this about aunty?"

"What is my daughter's phone doing in your bag?"

"What are you saying mom?"

"Your so called best friend was the one traumatizing you all this while. Everything that was bothering you, the message, the audio is all saved in your phone. "

"What are you even saying aunty? Why would I do that."

"Gini...you....Mom,show me the phone."

"Here honey, take it."

*Checks her sent messages to find a message sent to Gini from her second sim card and the recently played audio file.*

" I never had two sim cards. Why did you do this to me?"

"I didn't do a thing. Trust me. What about the note. I was with you when the doctor gave you medicines. I didn't do anything in front of you. The doctor is to be blamed."

"Why would I do anything to my patient, I have a set of Doctor's ethics to follow. Any misbehavior can cost my license. "

"I don't trust you Gini. Plus the doctor doesn't know anything about my daughter's phone. Stop lying and speak up the truth now."

"Don't you trust me bestfriend? Do you think I'll try to hurt you in anyway? "

"I trust you. And so I want you to leave now. And you too doctor. I need some rest." says the girl.

"But honey.."

"It's okay mom. I want some time alone to figure out things."

"I didn't do any of that. Please believe me."

"Gini leave. That would be better for now."

"Have your medicines on time and call me if you need any help." The doc says.

"Yes I will. Sorry to bother you."

"It's alright."

*Gini and doctor both leave.*

"Well played, mother Macy."The girl says with a grin.
