Chapter 4: The counsellor

" Hey, wake up my child. Open your eyes slowly."

"What are you doing here doctor?"

"How are you feeling? Still dizzy?"

"Yes a bit. Did I again have a panic attack?"

"Unfortunately, you did. Your mum called me right away."

" Dude you scared the shit out of me. When I entered the room, I saw my phone on the floor, you were shivering and were cold as ice. By the time I informed aunty, you were unconscious."

"I was scared myself, I couldn't think of anything but calling the doctor."

"You did the right thing mam. (To the girl)If you don't mind, can I ask you what was it that made you sick? Tell me only if you are comfortable talking about it."

"I'm sorry doc, but not today."

"It's absolutely fine. Take good care. Don't miss on your medicines and keep your head calm."

'" Yes doctor.Thank you"

" Doctor I would like to talk to you in person. If you don't mind."

( Doctor and mother leave the room)

" Where's your phone Gini?"

"Here. Why, what happened?"

" Check out the last two messages from your inbox. And tell me what does it mean."

" The last two messages were from you. When you asked me to come over, as you wanted to talk about scisssors."

" I'm asking the last two messages in general, not the ones I sent specifically. If I'm not wrong, it is a text from an unknown number right?"

"No, there's no text from an unknown number. Although you told me about the notification previously , it was mum's message right. So you replied and deleted it?"

" Your mum didn't text and I didn't reply. There was a message from an unknown number, I do remember that. And I'm sure I didn't delete it."

"How's that possible? The mobile has been with me all this while. What was the message?"

" It read It's about time you see things clearly and not closely. Scissors can be a lethal weapon sometime"

" Bloody hell. Do you remember the number?"

"No I don't . ughh my head is hurting. Can you get my medicines please."

( Gini gets the medicines)

" Here have it and sleep well. Don't think about it, it must be a wrong message."

" Yeah"

( She opens the bottle of pills and finds a note: You are making it easier for me to kill you with these medicines. Enjoy)

*Screams*
