Unlikely Circumstances

Angels eyelashes slowly fluttered open, the room was fuzzy at first and she could barely make out her surroundings, all she really knew was that she was lying on a bed.

"Oh, you're awake".

Angel startled fully awake and stared, there next to the bed, sitting in a plastic chair, was the new boy. She looked around a bit more and realized this was the school sickbay.

Angel sat up and yawned "what happened?"

The new boy frowned slightly "you were talking to me and then you just fell over and I caught you and took you here".

Angel stared dumbly at him "you carried me?" was all she could manage to say. They both stared at each other awkwardly for a minute, then he cleared his throat and looked at her. "Yep..."

Angel looked away when the nurse popped her head in through the doorway, "everything alright in here" she asked sweetly.

The new boy looked up at her "yeah uh, I was just going" he said, he quickly got up from the chair but as he stepped into the corridor Angel called out "Hey, what's your name?"

He turned to her and smirked "Finn." then he was gone.

The nurse smiled at her "What a nice boy" Angel felt dazed, she got up and grabbed her bag "thank you" she said before she ran down the hall. The nurse gazed after her with a confused look on her face "was it something I said?" she muttered to herself.
