'Mister Raven…' Anna pondered about the Raven that helped her when she first transmigrated here.

She was not exactly communicative to animals, at least not after realising that she was not Pocahontas and couldn't see the colour of the wind or talk to animals.

But she could sense the darkening jealousy of that Raven. As if she and Raven were connected at heart, she could sense the Raven was displeased for some reason, the same feeling of how a human can feel emotion.

'But it is just a regular raven. Can an animal feel such complicated feeling as displease and jealousy over a human?' Anna was pondering while cleaning up the mess in the banquet after that incident. Nobody knew what just happened because the weather was great today, and the magical forecaster told them it would be sunny the whole day.

Who would've expected the sudden gust to hit the Crown Prince, and the gust turned into a dark hurricane that not only destroyed the banquet but also slowly sucked their breath. It was a form of powerful dark magic that was illegal in the kingdom.

"Don't you see how His Highness Crown Prince got hit by that dark gust? We all know that Crown Prince is very powerful. How could a dark gust throw him away like that?" One maid gossiped.

"Yes, there must be someone behind this chaos. Maybe… that monster…" another maid responded, and she looked at the tallest tower where Prince Corvus resided. "Maybe it's that guy.."

The maids who cleaned with Anna all looked up at the tower, and they shivered. "Maybe he is jealous because Crown Prince is much better than him. It must be stressful for Her Majesty Queen and Crown Prince to have such troublesome and scary family member." "And I heard he is too ugly and hideous to look at, maybe he is jealous because Crown Prince Ignis has everything, but he is just an ugly monster," another maid gossiped.

"Tsk, tsk, not only his face is ugly, but his behaviour is also ugly. What a cursed prince."

Anna, who had enough of the gossips, finally turned her head and said, "There is no correlation between appearance and attitude. We don't know what he looks like, so it's best to stay silent."

The maids looked at Anna with envy in their eyes. Anna was a new girl, and she already caught Crown Prince's attention. It was obvious that Anna was trying to steal Crown Prince's attention by acting quirky.

"You are just a new maid here. Just because you caught Crown Prince's attention doesn't mean that you can order us around!" a maid said harshly.

Anna rolled her eyes and continued sweeping the rug, "It's also not your right to slander the prince like that. His Highness might be locked in that tower, but he is still a prince nonetheless. Remember that we are just maids here. You might get fired because of your slander."

"That prince has been there for ten years! He might be dead—"

They stopped when a middle-aged woman appeared behind Anna. Edith smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes, "What Anna said is true. Prince Corvus Lunaris is still Her Majesty's son and official Prince of Lunaris Kingdom. If one more time I hear you girls slandering the Prince, then you will sleep outside the Palace Gates."

The maids were not scared of Anna, but they were terrified of Head Maid Edith. She had been working as a head maid for thirty years, so her professionalism and seniority were well known, "W—We're sorry, Ma'am."

Edith smiled thin and ignored them. She looked at Anna and said, "Anna, come to my office. I have something to talk about."

"Y—Yes, Ma'am," Anna was tense when Edith told her to follow.

Anna followed Edith to her head maid office closely. She was scared that she would get her salary cut to replace that broken wine glass or get fired because she dared to distract the banquet by dancing with Prince Ignis.

'Okay, I will tell Ella that I need to find a job as soon as possible. Anything is alright as long as I can get a job since the unemployment rate will increase each year, and the job offer will stagnate. It is best to secure a job faster!' Anna planned in her head.

Edith stared at Anna, who was standing in front of her for a good while. She was already fifty this year. Since she was twenty, she had served the queen, accompanying the teen queen when she was a princess and helping her in many things, including the most personal stuff.

She was experienced to see people's characteristic, whether it was noble or peasant, man or woman, she could guess their characters easily.

This girl was not special. She was not a world-shaking beautiful princess, nor a scheming noble with extreme intelligence.

Based on Edith's observation, this girl was just a simple, hardworking girl. Well, she had a certain love for money, but it was not as ambitious as wanting to sleep with the prince to get some cash.
