Raven’s Memories

The food smelt like medicine. As always. It was inedible at first, but I guess you get used to everything at some point. Even if it meant one operation or experiment every week. Even if it meant seeing your loved ones in pain and suffer daily. But getting used to something doesn't make it easier to bear. I sat in the overly clean cafeteria poking around in my distasteful food. The walls were completely white, the windows were sealed with iron plates. The chemically smelling tables and chairs were arranged in perfect order. I sat alone in the vast mess hall of the laboratory of hell. Rose hasn't come around for a while anymore to pick up Fox.

Clench.

I hope she did okay today. She's been in that room for at least five hours straight. What on earth were they doing to her? I was so mad for not being able to help her. I can't even reach her with this shitty thing on! Unconsciously I scratched the metal band around my neck. It prevented me from using my abilities outside of the experiment chambers. Thank god I kept my true powers hidden from them! If they knew the true extent of my mind reading abilities I wouldn't be sitting here for sure. Rather I'd be locked up in a dark room, chained to a bed to contain me.

Click. The door opened to the operation chambers.

Immediately I jumped up. "Fox?" I asked. In horror I watched as Fox was carried out by two guards and thrown ruffly onto the white floor, unconscious. "Fox!" I rushed over and propped her up against my chest. "Fox! Answer me! Fox! Wake up!" I shook her lightly, but she didn't give the slightest reaction."What did they do to you?" I whispered. Gently I lifted up her weak body and carried her to her quarters. I was enraged. They were going to pay for this! I swear it!
