An illusion ends

I was standing, barefoot, on an endless flower field. It was humming with life and joy crushing my fear and anger. Why was I angry again? I didn't remember but that didn't matter, since now everything was alright. I could feel it. I could feel the warmth of the shining sun, I could feel the fresh breeze that played with my ebony black hair, I could sense the scent of the pollen and the sweetness of nectar.

oh that's right, Raven and I just escaped the laboratory and just outside was this endless flower field. I never knew the world could be so beautiful! I turn around and see a dark figure approach. "Raven!" I shout, waving my hands. "I'm here! Come! It's beautiful."

I swirl around and take off into a sprint towards Raven. I grasp his hands and beam up at him. "I can't believe we finally made it! Look, It's wonderful and smells even better than it looks." He smiles and warmly gazes down at me. "You look beautiful Fox." He picks an especially beautiful flaming red flower, who's edges seemed to be coated by orange frost. It suited me perfectly. Still holding my hands tightly, Raven lowers himself to the ground. Suddenly his face becomes all serious and he said: "Fox, we don't have much time. Promise me, that regardless what happens." His voice begins to sound frantic almost terrified. "If you get the chance, leave this place. Don't come back for me, you must promise me this! It's important!"

"No! Never! I can't promise this, I'll always come back to you!" My eyes start tearing up as I see the world slowly fade around me. "No, Raven! What's going on? What's happening? I thought it's all over now." He pulls me into him and kisses my hair. "It's okay Fox. You can do this, I know it." I clutch on to him and sob into his chest. No. This can't be happening.

Suddenly he stops. His hands go ice cold, his heart... It stops! He shivers violently then falls lifeless into my arms. "Raven?" I touch his cold pale face. "RAVEN! COME BACK!" I shake him violently but he doesn't react. "RAVEN!" I scream at the top of my lungs, my lungs, my head my hands flare up in hot pain. But I don't care as I howl in terror and pain. The world closes down around me, my vision fades. The last thing I feel, is a blade as cold as ice stab me straight through the back of my heart.
