A fairytale come true

With a gasp I woke. Golden sunlight tickled my face, birds were chirping beautifully, the air smelt... fresh. Where was I? I tried to get up, when I realized something weighing down on my stomach. I looked. Raven lay disheveled, fast asleep and drooling on me. He sat on a wooden chair next to my bed, his hands were half holding a book. When did he get here? Suddenly all the memories came rushing in. The school! I moved my arms. They were attached to beeping machines. Gently I took off the air mask from my face. The wooden room I was in smelt sweetly fragranced. The windows lay wide open bearing the view of an oak forest that was bustling with life. So peaceful. I looked back to Raven. What had happened? I really wanted to know. But I couldn't bring myself to move right now. He looked so content sleeping there. So instead I laid back and gently stroked his messy hair. I watched the beautiful scenery outside of the widows until I fell asleep myself.

"Fox! You're okay!" Raven jumped at me and embraced me with a bear hug. "Hey! I'm okay. Really." I wiggled to get some air. "I was so worried." His voice broke. Was he sobbing? I've never seen him cry before. "I'm not crying." He sniffed and finally loosened his grip. Liar. His eyes were all puffy and his cheeks still wet. He wiped his face with his sleeve and smiled at me. It warmed my heart to see him so happy. "Oh Fox. You won't believe what happened!" And so he told me the whole story.

After my vision blurred out completely I apparently sent off a wave of power. It was my dormant power The Creator had put there but not been able to activate. My distress call somehow activated that power making the whole building implode on itself. "That's crazy." I said. He nodded. "You were lucky I realized something was off. I managed to save most the humans with my telekinesis. The only ones that didn't make it, were the ones with you." He hesitated. "I wanted to save them. But when I saw you buried in rubble I just grabbed you and ran." He wiped his eyes again. I could see his hands shaking violently. "I- I ran out of the city as fast as I could. You know, you're really heavy." He grinned at me. And here we go again. Straight back to normal. "Nevertheless I reached the city border. I fled into the forest and by chance ran into another Abnormal. She knew about a hidden village not too far from there and well, here we are. We are both officially members of Roseville. Here we can do what we want to do. Roseville is hidden on private grounds inside an actual castle. It has huge forests and fields and a small village that is protected by a castle wall." I couldn't believe it. This must be a dream. "We finally made it Fox! Here we are truly safe. We finally found a place where we can spend the rest of our lives in peace." I suddenly realized we were holding hands. Very self aware I felt my hand beginning to sweat. Oh no! I willed it to stop, but Raven couldn't have cared less. "Fox?" He asked me. "Hmmm?" I was busy picking off the different types wires and tubes attached to me. Ouch. I winced as I pulled out a needle. "Can I do something, please?" I looked up at him confused. "Like what?" Leaning in closer he whispered: "This." And kissed me on the lips.
