A man in a black suit and yellow tie stands waiting for a tram. The man is roughly 5'7, has a toned build, and his hair and eyes are both a dark brown. In his hand he holds his phone open to his email.

Hello,

I am the lead developer on "The Ranger's Coven" tonight at 8:30 a new event will start. For this event we have decided to award the top ten players with a gift. Included in this email is your reward for being the rank one player in the game. I also wish to congratulate you on being the only player to have successfully completed every quest in the game with a single character. Your reward is redeemable at the start of the event. I wish you the best of luck.

Fabled chronicles

-7:45 PM-

The tram arrives and its doors slide open. The station is filled with movement as people enter and exit the tram. The man enters and takes a seat near the door. Beside him sits a little boy in a light brown shirt with gray pants. He looks to be twelve and roughly 4'8. Across from him sits a woman who's wearing a formal dress. She appears to be 23. She is 5'1 with long red hair.

-8:19 PM-

The man continues to stare at the email, when the little boy beside him speaks up

"Wow, you're the rank 1 player in an online game?"

The man although startled replies

"Yeah, I'm currently the only one to have a character that has completed every quest in the game."

The boys eyes light up as he exclaims

"That's really cool, but what game is it"

"Well, the game is called The Rangers Coven. It's a game about completing quests, and fighting"

The man says

"I wanna know more"

The man spends time talking to the boy as the tram continues its journey to the next station

-8:25 PM-

The sky darkens, as rain begins pouring down on the city

-8:26 PM-

Lightning flashes and thunder roars shaking the tram car

-8:27 PM-

A baby begins crying and a wolf can be heard howling in the distance

-8:28 PM-

The tram car shakes violently before screeching to a halt

-8:29 PM- 

The lights in the tram begin flickering rapidly before eventually going out completely

-8:30 PM-

The tram grows cold, people can be heard screaming and the roaring thunder has become a constant sound. A white mist begins swirling and rising from the floor. IT forms and twists in the air before disappearing leaving only a small white dragon floating in the air. Silence claims the passengers of the tram car as the dragon begins to speak.

"Good evening, players. Are you all ready for a fun game"

The dragon's voice came out as a high pitched noise. Much like that of a young girl.

Whether it be because of the pure shock of a real mythical creature or confusion about its offer, no one moved nor spoke. A few minutes pass in a terrified silence. Once again the dragon spoke

"Well, I'll take your silence as a yes. So allow me to explain the rules it's really very simple-"

The dragon is interrupted as a big man dressed very fancily storms up to it.

"YOU BASTARD! YOU CAN'T KEEP US HERE. NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY YOUR STUPID A-"

Before the man could finish his sentence the dragon spins around him and the man's limbs twist at odd angles before eventually devering from his body completely. The man cries out in agony as he slowly bleeds out on the floor of the tram car. An overwhelming despair falls upon the car. Once again the dragon begins speaking

"Let this be a lesson to you all, rule number one do not tick off the game masters, unless you want to face a dreadful end. Now the game is very simple: complete quests and win, or fail to complete quests and face consequences. And now I will give you all the first quest, you may think of this as a tutorial, do your best to survive."

Suddenly what appears to be a GUI from a video game

[MAIN QUEST]

Title: First steps

Type: tutorial

Description: Fight off hordes of wolves until the tram reaches station 13

Time remaining: 14 minutes

Failure: Death

Additional details: A secret reward may be acquirable.

The man in the yellow tie looks over the GUI stunned it looks just like the window from the rangers coven. Even the quest was the same.

A bell like noise is heard as another window appears in front of the man

Congrats Alexander Joseph, you have been awarded a secret attribute. These attributes are special rewards that can only be given out by game masters. You have done very well to impress the game masters.

Alexander was speechless; the system knew his name without him putting anything into the game. Still curiosity led him to check out the secret attribute

Type: Special

Description: a unique attribute unobtainable by anyone else. The clearer attribute is awarded to the first person to ever complete every quest in the game. Unlike other secret attributes this attribute gives unique abilities that cannot be accessed any other way.

Alexander had never seen any of these abilities before, but just as he was about to look at them glass could be heard shattering and hundreds of wolves howled in unison.

Well, that is the end of chapter one. On behalf of all of our group I wish to apologize for the long wait and the sudden removal of all of the previous season. We have a few reasons but, for the most part we realized a lot of flaws in both the writing and storytelling of the last season so we collectively agreed to just restart the series. We hope you will continue to support us as we now navigate this slightly different story.
