31 Back to the Kingdom

We ran for a while until we finally did not see them behind us.

"We should be far enough let's sleep here. Tomorrow we'll go look for the one in the forest." Anfelisa said putting her backpack down and walking over to some branches. It was already pretty late and we were tired, I didn't even feel like eating, or setting up a tent. If it started raining or something I would have to wake up and set one up but hopefully that didn't happen. I helped pick up branches for a fire but just sat against a tree.

"Azrail are you going to eat?" Rocco asked me handing me a piece of meat from a boar Axel had just gone and killed.

"No, I'll eat something before we leave in the morning." I responded to him closing my eyes and going to sleep. They ate then also went to sleep not long after. It was morning already, the birds chirping had woken me up, everyone was still sleeping.

"Wake up, we have to go." I shaked each of them, waking them up one by one. Axel got spooked and reached for his sword beside him and held it against my throat.

"Oh it's just you Azrail." He said lowering his sword and laying back down.

"Yeah it's just me but wake up!"

"Come on Axel wake up." Anfelisa had walked over to us and gave him a light kick. She looked beautiful without all her armor on and only her sleeping clothes, her morning hair didn't even seem like she just woke up.

"What are you staring at?" She told me standing with her arms crossed.

"Um nothing. Let's get going already." I said taking my eyes off her and looked at her beautiful hazel green eyes.

"Are you not going to eat anything?" She asked.

"No, I'm not hungry. Let's just get going."

"Well I just remembered we don't know where he is

We are heading back to the kingdom since your dad forgot to tell us exactly where in the forest he is. We can't just look around all this forest it could take months."

"Oh right let's get going then." I couldn't answer her properly, still a bit distracted by her beauty, she noticed but didn't say anything. Everyone had finally woken up and packed their stuff, we were ready to head back. It was a peaceful walk, nothing came out and attacked us and Axel didn't seem suspicious like last time, this time we could enjoy the beautiful scenery instead of keeping an eye on each other. When we finally made it back to the kingdom it had taken nearly a day, the sun was already setting.

"Why are you guys back? I thought it was going to take longer to complete your mission." The knight that's always there was still there.

"Hey it's you! You are still here, you really should ask for more days off." Rocco said before I could even answer him.

"My day off was yesterday." The knight responded.

"Ah okay. Anyways didn't Axel here tell you not to dig into what our mission was?" He said to the knight, he looked angered, pointing at Axel with one hand and the other on his rapier ready to unsheathed it. The people that were in line waiting to enter started getting nervous.

"Well I didn't mean to, the word just got around." He responded gulping down his saliva. Axel had joined in on the act, he as well had his hand on his sword.

"Should we leave him like the knights from Freyerd?" Axel asked us with a menacing voice, pulling out his sword so the blood still on it could be seen. But unlike other times the knight actually took an attack pose thas time and whistles making more knights appear. The people were now really scared and backed away as far as they could to not get involved in a fight.

Axel laughed then said, "were just playing with you man. Either way we could take on all of you within minutes."

"Yeah I know but it's just a procedure. If someone pulls out a weapon here we have to be ready to kill them."

"Ah okay well we'll be going ok through now." He said putting his sword back up and walking into the kingdom.

"Yeah you all go on ahead." He said moving out of our way. We quickly headed to the castle before the sun fully set to ask the king. We headed to to castel as quickly as possible. Once we finally arrived we were let in to see the king right away.

"Sir you didn't tell us exactly where the middle child is. We can't just look around the whole forest it will take months." Axel said, staring the king down. He didn't say anything and looked over at his advisor who came running.

"Sorry about that, I was in such a rush that day. Have you already killed the youngest?"

"Yes, he's already dead. However it seems like Brawder, my brother might betray us." The king, who was just sitting on his throne resting his head on his hand now sat straight with his eyes wide open.

"What do you mean he will betray us?!"

"Well we don't know for sure if he will, but before killing Persefoni he said something about Brawder avenging him. He was protected by several knights when we tried to kill him. To make matters worse when we were leaving the kingdom the knights at the gate tried to stop us saying he had issued a warrant against us."

"You're brother put a bounty on your head?! After this mission you will all go show him a little lesson!" He stood up from his throne and left the room furious, the advisor told us where exactly the middle child is.

"You will have to go down south to that village where the dragons were at. Once there they continued walking for about fifty miles. Just check all around that area and you should find him." He told us quickly then also left the room after the king. We left the throne room.

"Alright tomorrow we are heading out early. Let's spend the night at your guys's house." We headed home. Upon finally arriving home we took all our stuff off and took it to our rooms. We met downstairs once again to  eat something. After eating we were all tired and headed to our rooms to sleep, resting up for tomorrow's long walk.

"Everyone wake up!" We were awoken by screaming. We all ran downstairs to see who it was, there stood Anfelisa looking more beautiful than ever with her white armor. All of us were downstairs but after seeing who it was we all headed to our rooms to get ready without even saying good morning to each other. After a while we were all ready and met in the living room again, and without speaking word to each other we headed out. It was early in the morning, the knights at the gate just let us through without asking much. We started our long walk. After a couple days of excruciating walking we finally arrived at the village, it had taken about two days so the sun was once again starting to set.

"Lets just sleep here instead of somewhere in the forest." Ace said sitting down on a bench nearby.

"Yeah." We all sat sitting down on the bench too.

"No the sun is still up, we can walk a couple more miles before it fully sets. Let's go." Anfelisa said. grabbing Ace's backpack and dragging him. Even though we all wanted to sleep on a nice comfy bed we weren't going to argue with Anfelisa, we stood right up and followed after her. Night time had fallen and we stopped to set up camp.

"Azrail and Rocco go get some sticks for the fire." Anfelisa ordered us. We left to find sticks and returned with a bunch of sticks, we could barely carry them. They had already set everything up, the tents, the sleeping bags, and the fire pit. 

"By tomorrow we should find him and take care of him." Axel said, stuffing his face with food, just like the rest of us since we were so hungry after that long walk. Anfelisa didn't let us eat anything besides some snacks on the way here, she even made us walk through the night. Finishing our food we all went to our separate tents, one for the dragon crew and the other for us, and slept. Awakened by birds chirping we all got ready and met up beside the fire pit.

"We're all here, let's get going." Axel said, taking charge. Walking those remaining miles we finally arrived where the advisor told us.

"Everyone start looking." Anfelisa taking back her position as leader said. Nothing, after looking for hours nothing was found.

"There's nothing here Anfelisa." We all complained to her.

"Well keep looking. You might find something." She said reluctantly, also wanting to leave herself.

"Hey guys I think I found it come look." Rocco appeared beside us while we were all together. He led us to a weird yet relaxing area of the forest.

"Be quiet now." He whispered looking at us with his finger on his mouth. Sure enough there was a small cabin-like house surrounded by knights that appeared to be like the same ones that were protecting Persefoni.

"Let's make this fun. Instead of teleporting in there or running in there without being noticed lets take care of the knights first." Axel said standing up from behind the bush we were at and unsheathing his sword.

They he's to the king as for his exact whereabouts leave go to the house sleep and head out in the morning

"Wait Axel-" Too late he had already disappeared. The bushes around caused a sound making all the knights turn our way. 

"Over here." Axel said standing behind one of the knights. He stabbed right through him, his sword coming out of the other side. The body dropped, all the other knights were shocked.
