Pots And Pants On Fire

Leaving the hallway behind when Lia entered the living room she could hear chatters of people... the voices of chatter belonged to her friends. Lia felt a huge weight has been lifted off her heart... She was glad that all her friends were okay and nothing bad happened to them. When her mind finally noted that her friends are good all her sense came back , literally.

As she walked through the living room and entered the doorway of the dining area a delicious aroma of food entered her nostrils and at the same time her stomach gave a loud grumbles alerting her that it was empty and needs to be fed . The grumbles were so loud that not only her but people far away from her could also hear it.

Hearing the loud grumbles the people in the dining area turned there attention towards the doorway. Sure enough when they saw Lia entering with Mr. Oberoi people in the dining room sherk at the top of there voices as the were overjoyed to that their friend has finally woken up. On seeing that people in the dining room were there to look after Lia Mr. Oberoi left to check up on his acquaintance.

Right , they were Lia's true friends... Friends who have supported her through the most difficult time of her life. They never made her feel lonely and alone. She cried her heart out when due to her family situation she was hurt or insulted. They knew what she was facing in her life and what there friendship meant to Lia. They were together from kindergarten,(except one) for past ten years they were her true family.

Their group was an unbreakable force.

The first person to approach Lia was Mayera Shinghaniya .She was an open-minded, always energetic chatter box of the group. She was the exact opposite of Lia. Their personalities were like the sun and moon.

While Mayera was bold, talkative and sharp tongued who never backed out from give a piece of her mind and was pro level chef and baker , Lia was the absolute opposite. She was shy, mute and timid. She preferred to avoid conflict with others and wanted to be left alone. Lia also love cooking but she does that rarely . Lia was also a talented painter and musician but what she loved the most and made it her dream was to become a writer ( a novelist. ) .

Mayera was actually Lia's cousin on her mother's side. Her and Lia's mom were really siblings. There mothers fell out of contact after Lia's mother married Lia's father as per the wishes of their 'someone's coat - tail's ' grandfather which caused a series of misfortune for both sisters. But Mayera never allowed that to come between their friendship and cared for her like a sibling.

"OMG!!! OMG!!! , you are finally wake. Do you have any idea how worried we were about you??? Do you even think of us as humans or not !!!! " Mayera was scared to death when Lia was not waking up after being unconscious for more twelve hours.

Aayan Abdullah was next to join them and said in a low tone to Mayera " At least let her have a seat first , she must be feeling weak. " Then walked Lia to the nearest chair and pulled it out for her.

Aayan was a computer and technical genius who has an out of this world knowledge of the latest tech stuff and can fix anything and everything. His knowledge about technology is quite diverse and has a photographic memory that can record anything and remember it for who-knows-how long . He always prefers to use logic to reach his results and doesn't understand human emotions. Even though all that said about him he and Xi Xenon are practically inseparable and the trust they share is unbreakable.

She thanked and greeted both Aayan and Mayera as she took her seat at the dining table . Just as she sat on her seat another figure entered the dining area fiddling with his phone without noticing anything around him and sat right next to Lia oblivious to the fact.

All three other occupants of the dining room were well aware that when the person who just entered the room has something on his mind he tends to become a person whose out of this world.

Xi Xenon was an extremely fearless and meticulously calculative person. He has the ability forsee through any situation . These abilities of his has made him an outstanding leader. Also most people who know even slightest bit about Yi Xenon claims he is a psychic.

Mayera shook her head disapprovingly and Aayan went back to his seat quickly. Lia on the other hand stared at the mesmerizing face of her childhood sweet heart but dared not to distrub him.

Xi Xenon was the only child of Xi Texizi ( Executive director of Xi Corporation and Unova Group) and Diya Oberoi a Hollywood super star. He was called ' The Young Prince Of China ' as the future executive director of the world's largest group of companies that controlled more than half of the world's economy along with the greatest colabortion in the underworld.

Xi Xenon was the center of attention from the day he was born. By the the time he reached his teenage years he was every girls fantasy as well as nightmare. Inherited from his father Xenon always has an aloof cold look on his face and loved his privacy. Given his situation it wasn't surprising when people discovered that he hates the company of girls ( which is also inherited by from his father) .

By the age of fifteen he has already proved to the world that he is more than eligible to succeed his father by single handedly dissolving the economic black hole and monetory collapse with minimum damage that occurred two years ago.

Xi Xenon was Mr. Oberoi's nephew and his business advisor. He was also an excellent strategist.

In short Xi Xenon was more than meets the eye.. What he is capable of doing is still a mystery even to his parents.

Xi Xenon was the only outsider in the group who joined them at the age of eight when his uncle brought him to his school to study freely away from the prying eyes on the wishes of his parents and grandparents.

As Lia was lost in Xi Xenon's face both Mayera and Aayan chose not to disturb them as they were fully aware of Lia's feeling. While they were enjoying Lia's reactions on Xenon's face Rihan entered the dining room from the connected kitchen with a surprise shout that brought everyone's attention to him.

" O M G LIAAAAA!!!!

You are not dead, you are alive !!!!! "

With this came a bone crushing hug from him.

Rihan was practically the prankster of the group and an eyesore for Mayera. He happens to be the king of the trouble makers in school and the worst part is even though everyone knew when some of out the world pranks are played it would be Rihan but there has never been any evidence to prove that. Thus he has never faced the teachers interrogation in school. If not for his conscience, he would be the world's greatest criminal with his antics. He by his personality was an upbeat extroverted person and a player in true sense

On Rihan's mention of Lia and for his bone crushing hug Xi Xenon was able to notice Lia's presences that to right besides his. On seeing Rihan giving a hug to Lia an annoyed look cross his face and his hand landed on Rihan's shoulder

" You'll suffocate her with that hug of yours. "

Truth to be told it was not only Lia who had feelings for Xi Xenon but the latter also had the same feelings for her. But he just wasn't able to tell her and hoped that someday he could have her forever. Thus he tried his best to get her attention as her company was the only thing he enjoyed. He promised himself that one day he will return her dignity , honor and that her family has snatched away from her. He was the only one aware of Lia's true identity.

Rihan quickly let go of Lia and apologized for that. He was about to ask how she was after she has finally woken up after two days but Xenon beat him to it . Lia was about to tell him what happened after she woke up a strong smell of something burning greeted their nostrils along with a sudden heat wave.

" Mayera looks like your food is burning" Aayan commented flatly..

" Rihan fiddled with the flames of the stove so that the soup will be cooked faster but the matter got out control when the flames not only burnt your soup but also burnt the pots and now it's probably burning half the kitchen " added Xi Xenon.

" MY POTS ARE ON FIRE!!!! " Mayera was the first to react and ran towards the kitchen. Lia and Aayan were also shocked by Xenon's words and followed Mayera to the kitchen.

As for Rihan was white as sheet as his friend just sold him out and Mayera wraft was worst then death punishment. He quietly followed his friends into the kitchen muttering curse under his breath.

On arrival into the kitchen the group saw exactly what Xenon predicted along with Mayera's death glare...

" You set my pots on fireeee!!!!!

You son of a no good demon.... how dare you touch my soup... My Pots... My babe... "

Mayera wished that the fire that was burning her pots could burn Rihan's pants off him.

" I think we should focus ourselves in putting out the fire first , if it reaches the cylinders then it's gonna be a blast " reminded Aayan in a matter -of -fact manner.

Everyone nodded except Mayera her focus was on her precious pots and as they were about start putting off the fire the fire suddenly vanished in thin air leaving behind the burns. Everyone was shocked to see the fire gone but how no one had any idea.

Suddenly from behind them Rihan started shouting and running like a monkey

" Fireeee!!!!! Fireeee !!!!! ....

MY PANTS ARE ON FIRE... HELPPPPP... "

And their it was... his pants were really on fire.... literally.

Xenon and Lia were quick to react and threw a bucket of cold water on him which timely managed to put out the fire before it was capable of causing damage.

They were all feeling on the edge

' What heck is going on in here . Why are such usual things happening???? How did Mayera's wish some true ??? How am I able to read people's mind so easily... '

Xenon's doubts started increasing he felt like his head was about to explode... he chose to put it of for now and got back on Rihan's pants.

Before Rihan could ask what happened to him Xenon answered as a matter of fact

"On seeing that fire was burning her pots Mayera wished that instead of the pots why didn't the fire burn your pants. Thus the results " indicating his almost burnt pants.

" Serve's you right " added Aayan before Rihan could give a come back.

Rihan and Mayera couldn't understand how this happened but still the former gave a death glare to the latter for having such a wish.

Lia ended the situation on the note saying

" Looks like you both are even now. Both pots and pants were on fire "

Everyone laughed at this everyone except Rihan who felt extremely wronged by his friends....
