3 Chapter 2: Little Linda

Its been 7 years since the death of another fallen parent has left this world. Harsh winds whips against an old snow white painted house upon a mountain with little oak trees that are almost 200 years old. The trees were crooked and creaking from the harsh winds. Almost smashing against the destroyed house. The windows have been either destroyed and cracking from the weather, but it stood still for the 2 creatures that are being harbored inside of the nearly empty place. Not a lot of furniture stayed inside of the house since Ki either torched it to make a fire in a big fireplace or it was broken down and made into a safer seat for Linda to sit on. The walls on the inside was peeling since the rain from years before touched it and made the walls wilt and molt.

Ki looks over at Linda who was sitting still on the freshly made seat. It doesn't look comfortable, but it was a seat for Linda to sit on from all the running that she had to do. She had to get away from a group of bullies who made fun of her for having no eyes and they even sent a dog after the poor girl. Ki felt sadness develop inside of his heart as he gets up and walks over to the sadden Linda. He could tell that she is sad without her eyes. Even with no tears, Ki wipes the non-visible tears away from Linda's eye sockets with his thumbs. He can't keep taking care of her for long since every other monster would call him weak for taking care of a mere child, but he is decided to keep taking care of Linda until she can walk around without bumping or tripping over anything. It was a task that he didn't sign up for, but he had to get Linda away from her original birth father and step-mother. They were evil and didn't need to know whether if Linda was alive or not. Ki was soon transfixed onto what Linda has said:

"Don't cry Ki." Her voice was a bit squeak-ish, but her voice did mean well. Linda smiles at Ki who stares back at her, "Don't throw your life away for me."

Ki looks at the girl before him. Not knowing how to say a word or figuring out how she knows in what he was thinking about. A 7 year old shouldn't be learning how to read minds. Especially against someone who is taking care of them. He let's out a sigh knowing that he can't leave her by herself and rubs Linda's head, "I will not leave you."

Linda doesn't as for she doesn't need too. Her head was pointed downwards as she continues to speak, "You don't have to leave me, you are always there for me when I need you."

Ki raises a black fire eyebrow. Confusion was engulfing his mind as he speaks in his calm voice, "What do you mean?"

Linda points upwards to let Ki know that she is staring at him with non-existent eyes, "Remember when you saved me from that garbage bin?"

Ki nods while trying to figure out what Linda is getting at.

Linda gets onto her feet and pats Ki's shoulder, "I summoned you because I needed you to take care of me at that time. I knew that I was going to be abused by that woman and by my birth father." She feels her hand being taken by Ki's own hands. Linda felt Ki cry a bit as she uses her other hand to pat Ki's head. His black fire hair allows Linda to pat him as he begins to calm down from 3 minutes of crying. Linda smiles sadly, "You will always be my guardian, but its time for you to go on and be yourself again. If I ever need you again, I will summon you again."

Ki shakes his head. He stands up and looks down at Linda. Not another word was said from her as he now knew that Linda was using her powers at such young age. He felt a small smile grew onto his face as he reaches into his pocket, "Hold out your hands." As he watches Linda does so slowly, "This is known as a summoner's coin. You throw it and I will be there for you." His eyes began to feel the tears going down his cheeks. He loved seeing Linda grow. Ki wanted to continue watching Linda grow to be honest, but he knew that his reputation was on the line and he would be putting Linda in danger if he continued to take care of her. He drops the coin into her hands. Watching her to get a feel for the coin. His heart began to shrink as he turns around and spreads out his palm. Making the room shake with black fire flames began to sprout and circling each other around. Creating a black and grey portal. He turns back around to look at Linda one more time. Seeing her at her young age before letting out a sigh while knowing that she is right. He wanted to save the both of them and this is the right thing to do, he turns back towards the portal and steps through it. Leaving Linda in the destroyed house all by herself...

The portal closes while leaving a tiny black flame to resemble a spot that it was summoned. Linda turns around to be faced with flash lights from outside of the house. Resembling the police are outside. Linda shows no emotion as she hides the coin within a pocket of the long hoodie that she is wearing. Her arms were covered as she begins to walk to the door and opens it up to reveal 3 police officers. She can tell that these are the same officers from when one of the boys who bullied her called the police on her. Linda holds out her arms, "Aren't you going to arrest me since I am different?" Her voice shows no fear and no sadness as she knew that the world has rejected her from her birth.

One of the police officers places a hand behind her head, "No need for handcuffs." He begins to lead Linda to a police car. He looks up at the other 2 police officers, "Go check if that adult man is there."

Before the 2 police men could go through the door, Linda says in her calm tone, "He left before you guys have arrived." She continues to walk to the police car until she took a step. Her blood began to swarm around her feet and her body as she immediately teleported herself to another city. Leaving the police officers at the house. Her blood was swarming around her as she had to quickly make her escape. Those police officers was going to give her over to the government which she didn't need. Once the blood went back into her eye sockets, she began to walk until she stopped. She felt her body as she felt many people walking nearby, she soon turned down an alleyway and disappeared into the shadows...
