1 Book

Mark smiled slightly, looking at the front of the campus, before he finally challenged the bag on his shoulder. As soon as he arrived at class, he immediately sat down in a chair by lifting his legs from the table, and it was done by some of his friends, who were seen several times looking at the clock with a sense of annoyance.

"Relax, I'm so sure he will definitely come!"

Lucas, who was about to take the book out of his bag, laughed softly at Mark's words, and it was well realized by Mark who was about to take the book out of his bag. However, he canceled it as soon as the classroom door opened. Everyone there smiled slightly when a woman walked with a straight face. Lyla was the woman's name, but she fell silent when Mark stood up and walked right in front of her. Without seeing Mark at all, Lyla seemed to ignore the presence of the people in the class by sitting on the bench that was usually occupied by him.

"I really wonder why you are silent? Don't you want to repay us!" Mark said such a thing, took the trash can not far from him, and immediately emptied the contents of the trash can right above Lyla's head.

Lyla, the woman's name, was silent for a long time, not caring about the attitude of the people around her who closed her nostrils, as soon as she smelled the smell of garbage that had piled up around her. Mark smiled sarcastically in response to Lyla's blank stare, before finally Mark just snorted softly, as did his friends, who had so clearly caught Mark's disappointed face. When Lyla decided to leave the classroom without speaking, not a word.

"Are you so hopeful that he will slap you on the cheek?" Hearing the conversation, Mark immediately looked at Lucas because he really hoped to see the woman he had always bullied show a reaction and said that Mark himself didn't really care how much he bullied Lyla, to which Lyla never responded. Without saying a word, Mark immediately walked out of the classroom, but before leaving, he first took out a book and took it out of the classroom.

Mark stepped slowly down the stairs, his lips curled into a faint smile as he sat on the last step, staring at the closed bathroom door. It wasn't for nothing that Mark sat on one of the steps, reading a novel. The only reason he did so was because he was waiting for Lyla. He was so sure Lyla would be out any minute, it was just a matter of waiting before he did something else to cheer himself up.

In the bathroom, Lyla had just cleaned herself and changed clothes, staring blankly at her reflection in the mirror in front of her. There was nothing he could do at this point, other than try to dry his hair. Until finally, when she was about to open the bathroom door, Lyla silently looked at Rania. It was clear in her eyes that Rania, who was her best friend, looked worried about her.

"Why don't you try hitting Mark in the face? He's really gone too far, and now that he's out there, I'm sure he's up to something! " Lyla was silent, and of course, what Rania had just said was something Lyla would never do.

"Don't worry about me, I'd better get out!" Rania actually widened her eyelids, staring in disbelief at what Lyla was going to do. Instead of going out, wouldn't it be better for Lyla to stay in the bathroom until class started, and Rania was sure it would minimize Mark chances of doing that stupid thing and be disgusted with bullying.

"I'm not sure if you will survive, and this is for you!" Of course, seeing Rania give a package made Lyla look confused at her best friend, Rania just kept quiet without saying anything and immediately walked out, leaving Lyla who was still confused about what Rania had done a moment ago.

Lyla was silent, then quickly packed up the things she had brought from the modest apartment she lived in, just in case Mark did something to her and her guess did happen. When Lyla had just come out of the bathroom, she secretly looked at Mark with eyes that clearly showed that Lyla didn't care at all or wasn't worried about what would happen next.

Should Lyla be angry at this time when Mark suddenly pulled a gift package from Rania, which Lyla didn't know about at all? Mark smiled for a moment, seeing the expression on Lyla's face. As if without speaking, Mark already knew that Lyla was curious about the package in his hand. For a moment, Mark snorted softly, then looked at Lyla with a decidedly deadly look, but instead of being afraid or following what he was doing, this time Lyla looked at him blankly, as if telling Mark to immediately give a gift from Rania.

Mark didn't care about Lyla at all, even though at this moment he forgot that his lectures were about to start. Even now, Mark gave a smile that Lyla gave without a word. Mark calmly tore off Lyla's gift wrapping and, of course, saw. Because of that, Lyla's little heart really didn't accept being treated that way by Mark. But still, Mark didn't care at all because he would keep bothering Lyla until she graduated college, and that would be a lot of fun.

"So today is your birthday?" Hearing Mark's words, that's when Lyla remembered that today was her birthday and that's what made Rania give herself a gift, but Lyla's eyes really looked at Mark in disbelief when, intentionally or unintentionally, Mark showed her a gift from Rania, namely the novel that Lyla had wanted to buy for a long time.

Just as Lyla was about to take her gift, Mark quickly pushed his hand away, and it was clear at this moment in his eyes that Lyla really wanted the novel in his hands back. However, Mark then remembered one thing, that Lyla's gift was really the same as the novel he had read recently, and it made Mark uncomfortable.

"I just don't like anyone having the same thing as me! " Lyla really didn't understand Mark's words, but then Lyla clearly knew what Mark was saying when Mark purposely tore the book into pieces right in front of his eyes. It actually happened, causing Lyla to glare at Mark, which the man immediately realized.

"Are you getting emotional?" Mark just smiled, after throwing away the novel he had torn up just like that in the trash and showing him the same novel Lyla had given him.

"Now you understand, I just don't like it when someone has the same thing as me!"
