7 The Meeting. (Chapter 6)

He stood there shirtless with sweat dripping off his incredibly ripped body. He stood there breathing heavily as he would unintentionally flex his muscles, whilst the sweat made his skin glisten in the sun. The orange light from the sun lit him perfectly really showing off his popping veins from his muscles which emphasized his strength. Angelic really. I'm sure if he wanted, he could snap me in two.

He was different than any other man I had ever seen before. Dirty blonde hair, long and short at the same time that complimented his sharp jaw and he clenched it in pain. One strand of his hair fell across his face trying to hide the blood from under his cheek.

His eyes were gold. Not hazel, not grey, but like the purest of gold had melted into a pool in his eyes.

He was magnetic to me.

Without even thinking I started to approach him.

As I made my way closer to him, I saw his eyes inspect me. He didn't move. As if he was frozen to his spot, looking at me in great sadness that he would have to fight with me. He searched my eyes almost looking for something. Something he desperately wanted to find. But couldn't, so he gave up and turned his gaze away. That pained me when he did. I had no idea why. But I wanted him. More than I wanted any man.

Did he not feel what I did? Am I being a moron? Isla was behind me. Maybe he was looking at her. Wouldn't be the first time.

I look over to my brother and he has the biggest smile on his face as he knows once we start, I'm about to beat the shit out of him.

Even if this man makes me feel mething I had never before. I have a responsibility to my people. I knew he was the Lightning Prince that had come for the peace talks, and his family killed my mother. But, I didn't want to hurt HIM.

I really didn't.

"I'm really sorry about this" I whisper as I take position.

"Wait!" he grabs my arm roughly and pulls me close to his chest. His vanilla smell caught me off guard as it was intoxicating.

"Are we really doing this?" his pleading eyes looked into mine.

"I can't hit you." He says in a deep masculine voice grunting as he spoke in pain. It was almost seductive. I shake off his hand. Trying not to fall in to deep as I didn't want my brother to get pissed off.

"Why can't you?" I said to him

"I don't hit women!" He loudly retorted to my brother almost begging him to stop the fight and 'spare me'. I kinda admired him for that. It made me smile internally knowing he would never harm someone that couldn't match against him.

But the thing he didn't know was.

I matched him.

"Trust me. Don't hold back." I said moving back to my corner. I Removed my shoes and jacket leaving me in a tight black vest and baggy trousers. I looked over to Drake who was watching me as I removed my jacket. Rolling my eyes I secretly showed him the finger and focused on my opponent.

Breathing in deep to calm my nerves I see in the corner of my eye. My father and King Lucent watching the match intently. My father's smile mirroring Ryans exactly.

I look back over to the Prince and he still hasn't taken stance, hoping that someone, something, would stop this fight.

I take my stance waitijg for him to do the same. He takes one last look at Ryan, and then his father, before realising that there is no way out of this. He takes his stance as I knew he would. One problem with the men in my life, is they never know how to swallow their pride, to walk away from situations they know they can't win.

But this man thought he stood a chance.

Making it all the more fun for me.
